Thought Muirhead was excellent today before coming off.

The second half was was absolutely dreadful. Only positive from that performance is it’s another clean sheet.

Anyone know if the dates for the play-offs are stated anywhere yet?

There’s 4 Morton players in your midden of a team.

That’s a pretty fair team there.

4 players from 7th placed Morton who can still finish second bottom is a wild shout.

Attempting to play the second half of the season with only 2 wide players was always a strange move. Not keen on watching Ngwenya or Diack try to play out wide. Neither if them have the ability to play the role. McInroy or McKenzie are probably the best (but still not very good) options unless we change formation.

Going by our commentary it was a very soft penalty but a draw sounded a fair result. Would’ve taken a point before kick-off so not a bad afternoon.

If Brian Graham scores in this he'll have scored in all four matches between us this season. Off the top of my head I can't remember anyone else doing that for or against us.
Right pain the ar*e so he is.
Every match thread always has posts like this from opposing fans. His scoring record over the last few seasons has been excellent.

Agree re Lawal. Looks an excellent prospect. Looked really comfortable with ball under pressure and has a good turn of pace.

That’s Inverness joining Arbroath as confirmed as relegated for not being able to score against us.

Thistle really need to get out the traps early and take the game to ICT. We need to create and take chances as stated previously there isn't a lot of scope to change the game from bench.
I'd like to see Stanway come in to the midfield but I have a nagging feeling Doolan may start Blair The Ghost.
I'll predict a nervy 2-1 home win.
In our last home game we seemed to switch to more of a 4-1-4-1 formation so if we stuck with that Alston would probably be more of a like-for-like swap. I’d like to see Stanway come in though.

We’re looking pretty light. It will be a very weak bench today.

Only thing worse than Gaston’s reflexes is the the pie stall running out of hot food before half-time. Small time stuff.

The match was a lot more comfortable than the score line suggest. Thought Robinson deserved the MOTM. Graham and McBeth also excellent.
10 points taken off Morton this season. Easy as always.

.Also shown up in the last couple of weeks that not getting some kind of cover on the wing in January was an error, we've been lucky that Lawless and Fitzpatrick have been fit and firing for most of the season but they were both rubbish on Tuesday and Lawless hasn't been great for a few games now. The only replacements are strikers or central midfielders stuck out of position.
That is now just ‘striker’ and a 18 year old one at that.

Surprised to read a few Thistle fans in this thread say they'd like Raith to win the league. Surely if you're being pragmatic, United finishing second (assuming nobody gets promoted through the playoffs) is a bad thing if you've any ambition of kicking on and challenging for the title next season? I would imagine most teams would rather see the back of them, and hope nobody else with that sort of squad and budget gets relegated.
100% agree with this.
Raith took their 1 half chance and we had half a dozen but couldn’t score. We struggle massively when Lawless and Fitzpatrick are off their game as we have no replacement for them. Raith brought on Vaughan, Rudden, Byrne, Smith and we brought on Diack, Bannigan and Stanway. We are carrying a few injuries but Raith squads has more quality than us.

From Ayrshire juniors. I think they found him down the pits. A carthorse.
Once again a terrible shout from you.

A draw was probably a fait result. Much better performance from us, we looked much more solid. Although I wouldn’t be keen us us starting with Neilson and McBeth every week.
Another absolutely dreadful refereeing performance too.

Turned into a bit of a sick note unfortunately, has now missed more league games than he has played which is a problem as we are a far better team with him in it. Also our captain and we really miss his leadership on the pitch as in his absence Tony Watt is captain which is a debatable choice to say the least.
That sounds familiar.

Mitchell has to be restored to the starting XI now, cannot see the justification to keep him on the bench behind Stewart.
I think we will likely see one or two other changes to the team. I have to say I am not feeling even the slightest bit confident for this game.
Would take a 0-0 right now. Hold on we don’t keep clean sheets, would take a 5-5 right now.
Mitchell not playing must be something non-football related. The obvious reason seems to be his mad agent. Although I don’t think he’s particularly great and there’s not much between him and Sneddon, I think he’s our best keeper. He certainly looks much better than Stewart.

We did well to get back in the game then chuck it away. McBeth cheaply gave the ball away but he looked dead out there and Stanway should’ve been on then the Ayr boy passed one to Stewart at approximately 3mph and the diddy dives out the way.
4 goals conceded to 4 shots on target is criminal. We need to change things up at the back and bring Mitchell in.

Soft as shit defending and a useless goalkeeping. Same problems as usual.

Can we all just agree that the only thing worse than our defending last night was the officiating.
That’s debatable.

Not at all. He was solid, winning most balls in the air and made a couple good challenges.
