  1. I don't. Never accepted defeat in any sport I ever played till it was impossible to catch. While we stank NDP out yesterday I won't give up while there is 12 points to play for. Even McCall said that in his interview while he's delighted to have made up the deficit to Stranraer and bonnyrigg(almost) they definitely aren't safe and need to continue in next few games. According to 75 percent of Stranraer fans on our two Facebook pages we are down already. Ffs with that attitude we may as well be. Unreal.

The LL would be a disaster for Stranraer.

The whole player structure would change.

Do you still train away from the area?

Players are not going to travel for non league football when they can get it on their doorstep?

Best of luck in your quest to stay up.

Your manager gave me a chuckle “we deserved a point” we dominated the whole match and coulda scored 10

He would be the only one that thought that. Didn't cope with wind at all. Clyde used it better and 3nil would have been a fairer scoreline however the usual late goal we concede was there for all to see.

How is the Stranraer squad looking ahead of tomorrow? As I’m aware yous having being dealing with a lot of injuries this season.

The last few weeks the manager has actually had more of a full bench fir the first time. As u point out fir large parts of the season we had about 3 or 4 subs. Sometimes no Defenders. Then another few weeks later other parts of the team would get affected. Never known a  season like it where you'd get 1 back then 2 out fir following match.

To me that is why Stranraer haven't been able to put any consistency into their season.

Going to be an edgy game tomorrow no doubt one which will be probably a bit of farse in the windy conditions.

  5. Could be a total lottery this one. Fiery pitch with those winds. Oh well as has been mentioned Stranraer would take a draw. Capable of winning yes but so are Clyde. However I've been saying for weeks no matter what happens result wise in this game it will probably still go down to last 2 games to see whose unfortunate to be club 42. Its about time we improved our away form. Be nice if it started on Saturday.

There was a bit of a fuss from a few about Aggys post match interview last week.
Maybe sent Weatherson out to change it up a bit.
There’s only so much you can say when you’re losing so often.

I really want to it work for Agnew, he seems like he knows what the club is all about, gets the supporters etc. He’s also far more endearing than most previous managers.
The only thing missing is a run of results.

If we can avoid the drop this season I still have faith Agnew and Weatherson are the right guy to take us forward.

Aggie wasn't there on Saturday. Personal reasons

I heard it as "And Dingwall has died" which absolutely creased me. Especially with the deadpan delivery.

I'm assuming it was "Dingwall has dived", but I really hope it wasn't.

Duncan Williams is an atrocious referee, and whilst I think the worst decision of the lot is not giving Elgin a penalty in the first-half, I can see why Stranraer feel aggrieved. I know exactly how he managed that game from watching those highlights.

Someone in football said to me a few months ago "the problem with Duncan is that he's just so fucking arrogant" when I was chatting about him. He's got the Andrew Dallas trait of really talking down to players and removing common sense or conversation from the situation. People should accept mistakes from a ref, they happen. I think it's far fairer to judge a referee on how they conduct themselves (Sean Murdoch the other week was absolutely superb in that regard, although I guess being an ex pro helps) and that's where Williams really struggles imo.

Agnew went to speak with him afterwards. Not in aggressive manner just a chat about decisions which he is entitled to do. Ref shut door not interested.

Also two wrongs don't make a right. So just because he ignored Elgin's good claim for a pen doesn't mean he can refuse Stranraer's. Defender caught Orrs foot. The Elgin players were saying after they got lucky with that one.

Hey ho we were rotten so were Elgin on a heavy pitch.

Move on and hope it can be turned round.

Some of the shouts from the commentators in the highlights of this game are a mile out.

Golding is nowhere near offside in the highlight before the second goal. The booking at the start of the second half is absolutely a booking as he’s slid in and studded the top of the Elgin players foot. The one in the first half they completely miss the fact Chris Johnston pushes the Elgin player into the other Stranraer player.

What’s the story with the flag with the Bradford and Stranraer badges on it on the far side of the ground?

They don't have replays and call it as they think they see it. I've spoken to the guys after numerous times and they always admit it when wrong. Very easy to criticise. They get one chance to see it.  Also they are just volunteers...supporters like the rest of us on the media team.

We have supporters all over just like any club. We have a few guys who support Bradford and Stranraer. They come up now and again.

I think he means the Scott Robertson one where he recieves the ball and looks offside, so the whole Dumbarton defence stop playing and start wandering up the pitch.  Even Robbo seems to stop but then he realises the linesman hasn't flagged and has a shot which is either saved or goes wide. Would like to see that again as well.

I thought offside from side of park but maybe was ball watching rather than players moving when ball passed through. The move continued and the excellent Johnstone dinked a cross to back post and robbo ballooned over bar on the volley from 4yards. Still hasn't landed. Air traffic control at Belfast were wondering if it was a comet.

  10. Apologies from all of us on the stranraerfclive media team on the poor stream. Due to local issues I believe with the Internet our tech guy who incidentally was doing the main camera, laptop and streaming stuff at the same time ran into all sorts of problems. He had to reboot while trying to film. Ended up I believe him asking our committee media guy to film now and again which obviously isn't easy when you haven't done that before. I was out doing gopros etc. Lack of volunteers on the media team numbers wise due it being a midweek match didn't help either. Most of us live in the central belt. However knobody could forsee the streaming issues which isn't like our coverage.

Not that dumbarton fans will want to see it but we will manage to put something through highlights wise later today which will be good as usual.

  11. Too much negativity online. That sort of attitude spreads. The team and club needs support. If the negativity continues that will only make it harder for the players. Encourage. There is 6 teams in the mix to go to a play off. Nervy for all of them.

That's all fair, I'm just not sure why they needed to extend his contract at the moment they did.

Hopefully it will work out for the best.

On a separate note is there any reason why Sonkur celebrated so wildly? No issue with it, but was there bad blood when he left?

Not from the fans. We would have kept him. Precisely fir what he did at the end scoring wise. Seemed very odd. Obviously celebrate with the players but ti have a right go if a couple of guys gave u some stick was strange. If he wants stick he'll probably get plenty of that now lol.

At quarter to five we were in sixth place, a couple of wins against Dumbarton would see us hit on their tails.

Today was a real hard one to take but, hard to find falt anywhere on the park.

We’ve got a competitive team on a very low budget. Safety still looks well within our mists, what else can we ask for given our budget, crowds etc?

Wasn't there saw scores change at 4.55 5pm was horrible.

After watching highlights how can people online say there was no fight and we were poor in that match. Looked like a stonewall pen that might of put us 2nil up if converted. They threw big sonks up front and it worked for them.

  14. Two  great goals from Stranraer. Not the best game for large spells but once we got going we deserved to win. One or two big misses by clyde meant we had a clean sheet. Least said the better about the antics of some "supporters" . I'll stick to the fitba.

Since the first five league games - from which Stranraer took eleven points, and Clyde just two - we have outscored them by a point, albeit they have three wins to our two (having recently beaten Peterhead at home, in addition to Elgin and Bonnyrigg like ourselves). It really is do or die next week, and our horrible away form combined with Stranraer's passable home form obviously factors heavily against us, but if they continue along the path they're on then they're firmly in the shit here too. No doubt they've had it tough this season with injuries which seem to have eased up of late, but if we can perform how we did today - and crucially take our chances - then a win next week isn't completely beyond us, and that could make things very interesting. Hopefully plenty of fans can get down for it - was looking at trains myself earlier on but the ongoing situation with Ayr station makes that method of travel a bit of a farce.

The injuries haven't really eased up much.

Ben Armour, Grant Gallagher, Dean Hawkshaw, Chris Johnston were out yesterday. Sesn McIntosh on bench yesterday was his first time in squad for 2months.

We look better at the back after two new signings. However are struggling up front.

Fash is really coming onto a game. He is now fully fit, so we are getting 90 minutes out of him.

I thought Chris Johnston was a great signing for you, but he looked a bit off the pace yesterday. Perhaps I am being a bit unkind to our midfield, who kept him quiet.

That was Johnstons worst game since joining. Didn't look up to speed at all. He wasnt alone. Complete off day. Previous games he looked good.

  17. Yes Austin is way above our level in my opinion. His movement has always been good. A real pest as well. George did well to get any highlights out of it. I didn't contribute with gopros etc. Oncall. However wouldn't have had much to add to the highlights. 😁

Complete meltdown on our Facebook pages. After signs of improvement lately this was a scary performance by Stranraer. Ragged and open to counter attacks.

I thought at the time the lob was the easier finish than the outside of the boot.
