  1. See I'm just not sure about that film, what exactly can they make a film about someone creating a website?

Usually films about geeks creating websites usually end up as pretty brutal horrors, but I can't see that happening... so what is it really about?

I did actually mean to post a line review of film as something along the lines of "Decent enough if you like films about creating websites"

I couldn't quite make up my mind what angle it was coming from as it showed Zuckerburg to be a pr1ck but then almost trying to make you feel sorry for the $25billion pr1ck.

Cant believe it got a theatrical release (well I can but it shouldn't have) as it really rates alongside the likes of pirates of silicon valley as straight to TV movies with a niche market of geeks and fanboys.

I guess I was a little generous giving it 6/10 but it sucked less than a lot of the other shite i've been watching recently

    Social Network 4/10

    Scott Pilgrim 4/10

Mrs watched about 20mins of this and gave up - I watched till the end but found it just a little bit tedious - Once you had seen one ex you had seen them all. Some funny quirky moments in it and Mary Elizabeth Winstead is always watchable but film was just lacking something.

  2. Watched a few things recently

Grown-Ups 2/10 Pish, let get some mates together have a nostalgic weekend. Even better lets film it and pass it off as a movie.

Salt 7/10 Pretty decent - Not a big Jolie fan but thought this was pretty good in a Bourne without Balls kinda way

I am Legend 7/10 For some reason I really like this film - The CGI monsters are pathetic and after a good solid build up there isn't really much to it but still enjoy it.

  3. Have any of you ever carved a pumpkin? Got my daughter staying tomorrow night so I was thinking of doing that tomorrow.

Also, have any of you made Pumpkin soup? Well it would be a waste to throw it in the bin.

    Cheers etc

Wife (& Simplytot) have been carving pumpkins for years - she tends to make pumpkin pie or some sort of loaf that taste awesome with the innards

Initially she used some of the templates online - One year she did a Dora pumpkin and another Elmo. They are pretty easy to use just print out, tape to outside of the hollowed out pumpkin then pierce through the design with some sort of skewer - cut out the excess pieces and there you go.

1st link I found on google for templates - http://www.dltk-holidays.com/halloween/mpatterns.htm

They can get pretty complex but look awesome when done.

Apparently if you are hollowing out the pumpkin its easier to sit it on the floor with a poly bag around it.

    edited for pic

  4. Watched about 20mins total of the Leafs opener as well as a bit and pieces of the European games - hoping to catch the majority of Habs @ Pens and Canucks opener v Kings.

Highlight so far has been Jordan Eberle's debut goal v Calgary on Thursday

Boy was immense in the world juniors and looks like carrying that on to the NHL

  5. Im moist with anticipation for tonights game

With all the football, NFL & Ryder cup on recently it had kinda sneaked up but all the preview shows, fantasy shows etc. has got me up for this one.

Hopefully catch the game from Helsinki in work today but the the habs in TO should be a nce quiet way to start the season.

  6. Were to the drive-inn double bill Saturday night

    Switch - 2/10

Usually I can handle these type of chick flicks but this was just a p1sh storyline with sh1t characters - wasn't was funny, wasn't cheezy even the Mrs wasn't too impressed

    The Expendables 7/10

Thats more like it - a lot of mindless violence and gore to make up for the Jennifer Anniston eye gouging

Pretty much does what it says on the tin

    Knight & Day 7/10

I really enjoyed this nothing to complex about the storyline - kinda like M:I meet Charlie Angels
