  1. Anyone else find the Chromecast feature just does not work at all anymore on the stream?
  2. O'Hara, Maguire & Campbell in midfield? We're definitely going to try and kick this game to death, eh.
  3. As an aside I had the Obika song in my heid for about a week after the cup game. Aye, I'm aware it was the same as Manzinga but he was v v v shite at fitba.
  4. Absolute shite, eh. Hartley stepping out for the 4th goal like someone had tied his shoelaces together. Mental how we looked infinitely more settled when we binned the two recognised centre backs and played a back 3 made up of two full backs and a centre mid.
  5. New album from The Avalanches is bloody lovely.
  6. Hartley quietly escorting a run from inside the St Mirren half, ensuring no tackle was made, before firing it into his own net was something else.
  7. I have never felt less confident than when Jermaine Hylton start walking from the halfway line.
  8. You call it the Obika masterclass. I call it the Hartley-Mugabi catastrophe. I text my pal as soon as the line up came out that night saying the defence was giving me the absolute fear. And so it came to pass.
  9. Aye I won't actively be supporting him but I'd like it if he done well and got sold for big bucks.
  10. You only need Rickie Lamie to be involved for about 5 minutes and you're all set.
  11. Started Ozark last night and leathered 6 episodes of it. Delighted to see the bold Peter Mullan turning up.
  12. For anyone who hasn't had a look at the Millwall forums it basically looks like this:
  13. I mean if you need a player to run only in straight lines then Grimshaw is the best player in the country imo.
  14. 100%. I reckon if he'd poked that chance home against Rangers when he was 1 v 1 he'd have been in double figures by Christmas. Still mind him scoring a delightful chip over the keeper against us before he signed.
  15. Aye like I'm 100% on board with using data & analytics for this kind of thing. I think the days of sending a scout out to sit up the back of a stand and write his findings on the back of a fag packet are long gone. I wouldn't like to see it used as the 100% basis for making a signing, but having it as a way of narrowing down the options and trying to make sure signings are worth it is a big thumbs up from me.
  16. I think this is where the Motherwell x Analytics FC thing is supposed to come in. You have the stats to point you in the general direction of a player so you don't need to waste time watching videos/scouting a player who turns out to be dreck. Analytics isn't quite smart enough to give you the full picture in something as variable as football, but it can definitely reduce the margin of error.
  17. I refer you to the words of the honourable gentleman, @thisGRAEME.
  18. We probably were spoiled for a few years with goalscorers. Ultimately when we dive into the English seaside leagues to look for a player it's a bit of a lottery. Somehow we came up with Louis Moult who went from looking like he'd never shift Wes Fletcher out the team to a Motherwell hero. Then Moult left and our youth academy spawned a freak of nature in David Turnbull who was firing in goals from all over the place. Hopefully we can come to an agreement to bin 6 or 7 folk in January to bring in 1 or 2 people who might be in danger of contributing something to the team.
  19. Hastie had that wild run when he came into the team and couldn't stop scoring. Then I think once teams worked out if you just chuck an extra man on him he's not got a clue what to do. Pretty convinced he's not beaten a man since about March 2019. I also seem to always forget Hylton went to County. Not that I'm arsed. Barely kicked a ball all season.
