Are you questioning the location? New Jersey is more or less a suburb of NYC, therefore considered a New York team (in my books anyway). Or the choice? The devils get shite attendance despite being one of the better teams in the league. They have a new rink but it is located in a greasy area.
The location. Saying NJ is more or less a suburb of NYC is like saying Scotland is more or less a suburb of Newcastle. Saying that NJ is in NY is like saying Scotland is in England. It is completely wrong. p.s. there is actually a 3rd NY team - Buffalo.

I can think of a number of franchises that can be and should be moved: Phoenix, Nashville, Atlanta, Columbus, Florida, Carolina, and one of the New York teams (probably New Jersey).

Flyers beat Atlanta tonight 3-2, caught the last 5 minutes and was quite an exciting end to the game. Also good to see that Carter is still scoring goals by the bucketload, and that my amazing luck for PA sports teams is continueing (at least in important sports)

I watched Max Payne last night (unrated version) -3/10. Was crap apart from the graphics.
Also watched Eagle Eye - interesting concept, decent enough film. 5.10.

I can't understand this horrible, horrible form.
Every game it's something different that goes wrong, it's not even constistant.
Arrgh.
I haven't seen anything, so just wildly guessing, but could it be that the players have started to believe the hype that surrounds them, and haven't been putting in the required effort that has to go along with the skill to make them a good team?

They are going to have to do away with the current voting system. Quite how 4 starters are from Montreal I do no know. Perhaps they are the best four players in the west, or perhaps there was a little electoral fraud. Either way, it's a nonsense.
I think that for this, fans should all vote for their favorite on their team. Then people that actually know what they are doing pick the rest of the squads, including the starting players. They should do that for all sports.

WOw, i just saw the starters in the NHL all-star teams. What an absolute joke, and i thought the MLB all star selections were bad. Not 1, yes not even 1 starter was from a team winning it's division. Of the 12 starting players, 4 were from Montreal and 2 from 4th place Pittsburgh. In the west, you would expect teh 29-4-5 Sharks to get at least 1, or reigning champs Detroit? No, Chicago and the Ducks got 3 players each. What an absolute F'n joke.

It looks like Sidney Crosby is making a name for himself this year, just in the wrong way. 2 weeks ago he had a cheap shot in a fight against Atlanta, yet only got a 2 minute penalty, then the other day he picked up 19minutes of penaltys against Floriday for "fighting" unfairly too. I wonder if he is going to start to get banned for games for the bad play, like Avery did. Interesting few weeks ahead for the "superstar" of Hockey - seems like many superstars he can't take it when things arent going his way.

Avery is indeed a twat, but the whole suspension thing is ridiculous. Bettman is a bigger twat, and the whole thing has been wayyyyy overblown. And "sloppy seconds" is really that offensive? Really? No place for it, but six game suspension?!

Went to a flyers game (against dallas) the other week, and it was brilliant. My brother is visiting and he has gotten into hockey now. Will probably go to 1 or 2 a year now, will have to see.

Crash (2004/I)
Far more powerful than I had expected it be, with a wonderful performance from the brilliant Don Cheadle.
Ludacris also was unexpectedly brilliant.
I can't fault this film at all, everything just fell perfectly in to place.

Have to say both Murray and Federer gave great interviews. Murray especially never mentioned his knee - which seemed to be killing him and killed his chances really. I thought Murray was supposed to be this miserable arrogant f***wit.

One thing's for sure RF isn't looking as invincable as he was.
I came home at 2-2 in the 2nd set, and Murray seems to be doing well. His knee is biting him however. He should also be serving for the set justnow- very very bad call by the line judge or whatever they are called.

I for one will be backing Federer.
Look at it this way:
Murray looks scruffy.
He has a really dull voice.
He dares to make anti English jokes.
He doesn't always smile.
He is really arrogant and isnt grateful just to be there.
Jim Pansy doesnt like him.
Did I mention his dull voice?
As you can see, sound tennis reasons to not support Murray. Federers flamboyant and jocular personality make him a much better tennis player.
Why would you need tennis reasons to support Murray or not. If Arbroath were suddenly crap, would you stop supporting them because there is no football reason to support them.

I agree with you. I don't think i laughed once - and i even fell asleep during it. Won't be going back to see what i missed either.
Recently i have seen:-
Jumper - 6/10. Pretty entertaining film. Hasn't Jamie Bell changed since Billy Elliott however lol.
In the Valley of Ellah - gruesome storyline. Absolutely fantastic performance from Tommy Lee Jones - far better than No country (in my opinion). Despite being older, Charlise Theron is still damn hot. 8/10.

Changing tennis here is less about improving facilities and infrastructure than it is improving attitudes, which is what is really needed.
You could say that about 90% of sports in Scotland. Including football.

Worrying stuff
Cheshunt is a town just north of London. (i used to live close to there when i lived in Harlow). Thats about all i can tell you about the place though. Hope you get all sorted.

This may go way over people's heads, but i have to vent somewhere.
This isn't even about a student, but one of the clinical lab employees that use our imager (western blot/EB gels/coomassie etc). I was using the machine, and in the middle of the 5minute EClplus incubation with the 2nd blot of the day. I had the machine on, and the program was up with my last result picture there (after saving it). I finish the 5 minute incubation, and go through to the other room (where machine is) - only to see him standing there with a confused look on his face. I assume that it is just because he thinks someone is using it (which i was) and wondered where i was. I then realised that he had turned the machine off - instead of turning it on. I mean surely the fact the program is up, you know it is being used, and the lights on the imager are on should tell you it is on, no not him. This meant i had to then wait for the camera to cool down again (takes about 2 minutes to do) before starting the image capture........
Sometimes i just shake my head and wonder.\
Next - idiots that can't park properly. We pay $25 a month to be able to park and go to work. IT is great in the summer, as there are no students. Now however, you have to get there early to get a parking spot that isn't a 10minute walk away, across busy roads. Not only that, the parking spaces are very tight, and even with a small car, and me not being fat, i struggle to get out of the car without damaging the car next to me. Anyway, since people obviously don't want their cars damaged, they have taken to parking between 2 parking spaces, taking up both of them. Inconsiderate fuckwits. I also just heard that a workmate had his wing mirror torn off his car, looks like it was driven over on the way out, and yet the person didn't leave contact details. The police aren't going to follow up on investigating it (obviously it is difficult, no-one is going to park there any more, and the person who did it certainly won't). my workmate is now going to have to either shell out about $100 for a new wing-mirror on his own, or claim it off insurance - meaning he will be paying it back next years premium. If this happens even 1-2 times a month say - then you will be paying about $200 out of pocket to go to work........
I think that is it. For now.

Aside from Pan's Labyrinth, I don't think I've ever seen a Mexican film. Will need to add that to my list.
