Not strictly travel related but interested to know what people are doing for spending money. I have a credit card with zero fees abroad that I usually use but would rather set what I have beforehand than run up a huge bill to pay off.

Tempted to get a monzo account or similar, although I’ve heard a lot of Germany still prefers cash.

Revolut is the best card I've used while overseas, although too good at indicating the time of your drink purchases!! I relied on it for all my trips to Aberdeen and Scotland last year.

In Frankfurt, I noticed several places that only accepted cards when I travelled with the Dons. Berlin was the same the previous year.

On yesterday's evidence I honestly can't see Aberdeen sliding into the play-off slot.

The St Mirren comeback yesterday was sparked by an individual error by Devlin, yet most of the negativity expressed in posts from Dons fans has been aimed at the entire team as being useless / spineless / lazy etc. I'd say that's unfair since, apart from the last couple of minutes, I actually thought most of your team played well and fought hard for the jersey.  Perhaps Warnock's decision to defend the 1-0 rather than push for more was a mistake, but understandable after the results Aberdeen have had since his appointment.

Coming so close to winning yesterday's game could maybe be seen as improvement and a more hopeful sign for the rest of the season ?

Warnock had the team well-prepared on Saturday and faced some unfortunate twists of fate. I found Warnock's post-match remarks on Devlin's unfortunate penalty situation quite fitting saying he was unlucky. It never rains but it pours - hopefully luck will change soon for us.

Not being 100% pick up might work against those on lower points.

The additional challenge for individuals with lower points arises if we advance beyond the group stages in Germany, as there will only be 6,000 tickets available, compared to the 10,000 originally allocated for the group stages.

  4. Gigs for March and April (not that much for me!)

    Wednesday 6th March: bdrmm (Tunnels)
Friday 15th March: Yard Act (02 Academy Glasgow)
Saturday 16th March: Folly Group (King Tut's Wah Wah Hut)
Friday 26th April: King Creosote (Tivoli Theatre)
Sunday 28th April: Nadine Shah (SWG3)
Monday 29th April: A Certain Ratio (Tunnels)

  5. The play-off matches are scheduled for Thursday 23rd and Sunday26th of May, and the cup final is set for Saturday 25th of May. Although these dates may be subject to change, I doubt Aberdeen will advance to the cup final.

I'd be content with finishing 11th in the league, securing victory in the play-offs, and clinching the Scottish Cup!

Many bands use isolation materials in front of drum kits these days. I assume that is kinda what you saw?

    Wearing a Celtic top 🤮

I believed it was only during the Glasgow performance because I had checked their Twitter earlier. However, upon revisiting, I discovered they had it at other performances too!

  7. Attended NewDad's performance at St. Luke's on Monday, and they delivered a pretty good show. It was odd to see the drummer donning a Celtic top and having a glass/plastic covering, presumably for protection in case anyone threw anything.

Your source(s) aren’t that accurate. But why spoil a great story.

In all fairness, it has gained traction in Aberdeen following the release of this Twitter post. It was brought up during yesterday's press conference, during which Warnock mentioned reprimanding the driver. :D
