Cheers. I remember his drive by causing great excitement. Momentous. I'd be grateful for any clippings or suchlike anyone can post.

Does anyone else remember the day Neil Armstrong came to Dumfries? I recall people lining up to view a convoy of black cars with American flags on the Annan Road. Early 70s I guess.

Barrow are top half of vanarama national league. Lincoln who top that league beat Ipswich last night in FA Cup. it`s not a bad level.
I watched that game and was thinking they, Lincoln, didn't look half bad. Be interesting to see how we'd fare in that league.

Higgins, Anderson and Hamill possibly on the way out?!!
How would that work money wise? Surely they'd require a pay-off?

There's been 2 or 3 games when he's jumped to head the ball and landed heavily but managed to carry on for a while. Not meaning to widen the discussion but I'm not a fan of this tactic of the keeper playing high balls out to the wide men to flick on. Without having actual statistics I would hazard a guess that the success rate of building up a good attack from these flick-ons is very low. If the ball does not just fly straight out of the park, the opposing defender usually wins more than the winger. I know I'm not alone in my frustration at Robinson's wide kick-outs listening to others supporters around me.
Hmm. I remember early in the season thinking the wide kick-outs would have a limited lifespan before opposition defenders got wise to them. Haven't seen enough games in recent weeks to judge for myself but I'm not surprised to hear them being questioned.

Thanks for pointing that out.
I'd otherwise have placed the two events right alongside each other.
Superb retort btw.

Did they get a good turnout at Easterbrook?

I presume he refers to the concert. I'd imagine it will have an impact.

It's the red, white and blue thing that concerns some people. It's not the fact that Rangers have had red away strips.
Indeed.

Macron Size guide if that helps.

Will wait and try a couple in shop when release as really depends on the sponsor. Last seaso looked very nice but sponsor ruined it
I think the key word there is yellow. It's been used for years off and on and I for one associate it with Queens in a way I'll never associate red. And I think a left field approach would be interesting, and dare I say fun. Patrick have done some great maverick things over the years. Maybe not to everyone's taste but I'd be interested to see their sales figures. Red is just wrong!I wondered that. It's not like Rangers have any great tradition of wearing a red change kit. I know they have one this year and last but I don't think they have had one that often. I get the "red, white and blue" thing for the first team kit but we're not talking about any red on the first team kit. If someone shows me an all red kit my first thought certainly isn't "that reminds me of Rangers".
You have to think beyond the division also. We need to consider potential kit clashes with any club we might draw in the Cups too. We can't have blue and white kits only as they would both clash with Morton, Kilmarnock, possibly St Johnstone depending on how much white is in their home kit, etc. If we have blue and white we need a third kit. We can't just have blue and say black as we did this year because both clash with the likes of Dundee, Ross County and Falkirk. If you are using a dark blue first kit then you need something completely contrasting if going with one alternative kit. That means red (though there is a potential clash with Inverness CT if we were drawn away to them), yellow, green, orange, or something more left field like a lilac, silver, etc. And I think we can safely say the reaction to a green or orange second kit would be worse than that to red!
You do make a salient point though.
Anyway...

Love the colour of the Home strip and delighted to see white shorts again. Good! As for the away strip I'd have preferred yellow and blue or white and blue. Never been keen on the red, Hate it really as it's resonant of Rangers but hey ho, guess I'll have to live with that. Hope the badge is decent quality?!

After I posted that, it actually occurred to me that we did have a home kit back in the 80s with a bit of red in it.
A look at the Historical Kits site tells me that it was season 83/84.
Shameful. Almost as bad as the black and red socks we periodically wore in the more distant past.
This is what I am afraid of.

The all red one was a bit novel back then. I also think that the fact that it was worn in the season immediately after the Cup final would have had a significant impact on sales.
So long as no red trim ever adorns the home top, I don't see a problem.
Aye, I guess so.

"A couple of high profile posters continually posting they don't like it does not an entire support make".
True, that. I guess I'll have to live with it which I can do so long as the red gets nowhere near any scarves.

Is that true? I was going by comments on here and other fora but if that's the case I stand corrected.

iirc the red away kit was pretty unpopular with most. Maybe it is a wind up. The wording on the Facebook post is open to interpretation I guess. If we do end up with a red one I for one will be disappointed with what I'd perceive as another deaf ear turned to the views of fans.

Looks like a return to a red away kit from the preview on the club's Facebook page.
Surely not!

Is she playing too?

The new website is now live
Looks promising. I always think it's odd on the club staff pages that JT is down as Jim and Victoria Thomson, like he's Tootsie or something.

I can see why latest wages before a move come into play, but the "status of the two clubs" sounds to me like something unfairly designed to ensure that the redistribution of the game's wealth is restricted further.
Yup. Loaded.

On the topic of Shirts. Is there a picture of the black top anywhere? I mind someone said they liked the look of it but I've yet to see a pic.
They're vile.

It's costing a fortune to put on this concert . Can only presume the promoter is covering the costs for it as heard ticket sales had dried up after initial good sale figures .
The ' support ' acts haven't encouraged many more music lovers to snap up tickets . 80's pop star Paul Young was overlooked for one hit wonders Reef
I too have been wondering about this. Was concerned from the outset that this could be a money loser.
