  1. Mario liked a takeaway, he could contribute here.
  2. Joe Tortolano on Hibs TV, last seen with a stick in hand adjusting the air conditioning above my desk. His brother lived across the road until recently.
  3. Do many places still do the staff curry, is that extra special or is it just what’s left?
  4. It is broad brush stuff and the brush is very broad. The issue is the numbers of bodies. On an 80/20 basis 80% of them fit the caricature. Part of the issue is that the 20% don’t see (or hear) the traits that we all see. I took a Rangers supporting colleague through it and his eyes were opened. You seem like a sensible guy, you should wear your 20% label with pride.
  5. Ready made store bought Indian (and Chinese) food has been banned in my house after a number of false starts, although Morrison’s did a passable chicken pakora. Haven’t dabbled much in the jars, I may revisit. The takeaway options around me are generally good such that there are now specific dishes from individual outlets which are favourites e.g. Mr Singh’s channa poori. However my favourite dish at the moment is actually Chinese, salt and pepper chilli king prawn from the Yung Kee in Bannockburn. Superb. The Hibs guys sound a good bunch and I think we can all agree a 1-1 draw will suit us both.
  6. Stirling is well served for Indians. Green Gate pakora is a favourite of my wife’s. Mr Singh, East India Club (no longer with us), Spice Garden, Maharaja all excellent. Mint Leaf has opened in the past year but not had a chance to try it.
  7. Would it be worth being in the bottom two leagues if they got the nod to sell alcohol?
  8. Polo shirts are relatively subtle as opposed to the boys and their bellies (this possibly applies more to Rangers fans) that wander round Asda in the first team top from any year.
  9. I drive to games, home and away, so there is great attraction from me (apart from games in Edinburgh where I get the train and visit the pub pre-game). I don’t remember drink being sold at matches, I remember 4 cans being brought in to be placed between the feet and eventually chucked depending on the outcome of the game. I went to a match in Reading a couple of years ago, I struggled to down the pre-game pint, it was poor and I never went back for a half time drink.
  10. Will Chrissy Cadden rise to the challenge of playing against the team with a commercial claim on him.
  11. I had some Yassin inspired paneer from the local take-away, didn’t do it for me, slightly charred dairylea in a thick sauce.
  12. I think the bottom two leagues should have the ability to serve alcohol. After five years review things and if all is well move things on to the Championship and repeat.
  13. Everything they serve has spice, nothing is bland. At a meeting they thought serving a lunch of cucumber sandwich like nibbles would be fitting for us britishers, they still blew my head off.
  14. I’ve been working on a McGinley=Toby Flenderson thing, it isn’t working, I will give it another week.
