  1. I’m sure someone else was shouting we should loan Campbell to Newcastle who would then promptly bid £5mil to keep him permanently! [emoji28]
  2. That Scottish cup tie at Dens Park was amazing, although I was sure he was going to get sent off. I can’t really remember another one of our players inciting so much seethe.
  3. Definitely. There were so many games you’d watch him terrorising full-backs to within an inch of their lives, whipping in ridiculous crosses and scoring absolute pingers and you’d think, “how are you only playing at this level?”. Then there were lots of other games when he just...wasn’t there, and you’d think “do you even want to play at this level?”. The good games seemed to become more sporadic the longer he was with us. Up to the point towards the end of that last season a lot of fans seemed to lose patience/faith in him. I always loved him and like you say, that was the perfect way for him to bow out (and frustrate folk again just as he was leaving haha).
  4. He scored that many belters that I’d completely forgotten about that one. Cracker.
  5. I’ve not been this excited since Kipre signed the last of his 3 contracts this season.
  6. It used to frustrate me when he first arrived that our right back had better crossing (and just general technical ability) than our winger (Cadden). It also seemed apparent that Cadden’s tracking back was more effective than Tait’s, even if it was just down to his pace and physicality. Like someone else mentioned, going by his Instagram he seems to spend an enormous amount of time in the gym. Fair play to him putting in plenty of overtime to improve himself as much as he can. It’s just a pity that no matter how long he spends in there he’s never going to get that extra couple of yards of pace he would need to be an internationalist. If you could combine Tait’s technical ability with Cadden’s pace and power we’d have an internationalist (who’d be very similar to Callum Paterson in fact!)
  7. Don’t want to drag the topic back onto Murrant but his one actual contribution seemed to be bringing us Steelman and Ravenclaw (or whatever that wee thing is called). I followed him on twitter for a while and half his tweets were sent to Ted Baker thanking them for some honking shirts that he would’ve had to pay £100 a piece for. A p***k of a man.
  8. On a other note, I will actually cry if Kipre leaves before he has a chance to score and take his top off celebrating. How has this not happened yet?!
  9. God I can’t wait until Main crashes in his 30-yard piledriver in this semi.
  10. Ah yes. Mr Bowman now has a new competitor in the nutrition supplement, weight management, sports nutrition and personal-care product game... Let’s hope Lanarkshire is a big enough market for the both of them.
  11. I actively dislike Geordie Shore and all it’s ‘stars’....but she can do better than him.
  12. It is annoying as I believe he is still actually our best left-back and it’ll be a big ask to replace him, but don’t think it’s going to be do-able. While we’re on the subject of Hammell retiring. Who will replace him as our oldest player? And what will be the average age of our squad now? Must be a helluva lot younger than this time last year!
  13. Probably not, but don’t think even a talented man like Hammell could do 2 full time jobs at once.
  14. Teams all over the world hand out 1-5 year deals to players who’ve been on 1 week trials and maybe played in the odd friendly... 8 weeks of pre-season and normal training along with a load of competitive games is plenty of time. I mean, we’ve only extended his deal by a year and bumped up his wage. We’ve not handed him a 5 year deal, made him our highest earner and gave him the captains armband.
  15. I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life. I’d like to think he’ll score on Saturday, do a backflip (or three) and destroy their pitch in the process.
  16. Just saw the above on twitter. Not sure what our average age would've been last season but I think we would've probably have been in the oldest 10. Excellent work was done by Robinson, Burrows and the scouting team over the summer.
