  1. Two points from first two games would usually be not that encouraging but considering both were away and the opposition not necessarily a bad thing. Especially good is the fact that the team have been able to come back from being behind in both games showing a bit off dig. Onwards and upwards to Crossgates on Saturday

Geezzzz ! Seriously ! Negative negative negative. Sign a player and you pop at the timing of news and then pop at the player because he seemingly hasn’t played the last year

Neither of those things were a "pop".  Sorry if it seemed that way, was definitely not my intention

I don’t think he’s being negative. 10:30pm is an odd time to announce a signing to be fair, but perhaps it was the first opportunity whoever runs the social media had. Also, on the face of it, of course folk would wonder why he hadn’t played much football recently, but now we know why.

Aye I had no idea about the circumstances, just saw a player who hadn't played much. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Lowland League Two for season 2020-21 has got to be the best solution to this.

16 team league with guarantee of 8 spaces for West based clubs (if enough apply) and a commitment to create 2 x 16 team leagues LLW and LLE if there is enough interest.

Allows West Juniors to apply knowing there is a viable league for them to go to even if there isn't enough interest for a full WOS league.

Why should west junior teams be allowed to jump straight into a league that would be above the EOS premier?

    May 24th

2014 now and a tough visit to Hill of Beath.  The BU's knew that a win would keep the destination of the title in their own grasp.  Stuart Hunter made his 100th appearance in a hard fought game that saw substitute Kieran Anderson come up with the winner 5 minutes from time.

The team was: Peat, Snowdon, Devine, Murphy (C Scott), Hunter, Campbell, Walker, Sloan, Hislop (Miller), Donnelly, Gribben (Anderson)

What a day that was, the absolute release of nerves when the ball went in the net was amazing

They have a cheek.  We've put money into their coffers 4 times this season, probably all in their top half dozen gates, although not so many the other night from either side which can be explained by kick-off time in midweek and maybe previous antics.

Ah right so you just pointed out to the guy. Just being Mr nice guy were you. I know who you are now. Your well known for having a mouth on you.

I’m sure you were at the Tranent Penicuik final last year aswell coming out with shite?

As for the young lads they were noising max and Kev up before the game and was all lighthearted. If they took it further when the game started then they should get told to rein it in if it was the case

Yes I, a Bo'ness fan, was at Tranent Penicuik just to annoy you.

It was one of our players you were arguing with the polo on not any supporters. Not one other supporter argued with you so stop playing the victim. I watched it all.

Don’t know why you would have went home early though if you done nothing wrong. And supposedly wasn’t a decent crowd from Tranent either so nothing to worry about with your 1000s of supporters there to back you up.

Still nothing to say about the use of homophobic language pal?

  10. To review what happened on Saturday:

Bo'ness were 2-1 up and there was a dangerous situation where Devin Jacobs was under pressure and he made sure to get rid of the ball rather than giving it away and a chance for a Tranent goal. Bo'ness fans appreciated this and applauded him for doing so. Then some guy in a tranent club polo (I'm asssuming this is the player I "shouted" at) made snide comments towards the group of fans I was standing with for supporting our team. I pointed out to him then that getting rid of the ball is better than giving away an opportunity.

Then Bo'ness went 3-1 thanks much to Ian Black failing to simply clear the ball and giving away an opportunity. I pointed this out to the guy and he started shouting about "dont fuckin ever talk to me", and words to that effect. At that point other tranent related people got pretty aggro and one decided that because of what i was wearing I was fair game for homophobic abuse calling me a "poof" this was after getting called a fat f**k and other similar things by several individuals. At that point I did start shouting I will admit, however, I'd say thats fairly understandable when I'm in a position where I need to defend myself from homophobic abuse.

I also left the game early as I was scared of any further confrontation from your fans. But yeah sure, I was "shouting at players" which makes it all ok. Whatever makes it easier for you to pretend that there isnt a serious issue here that needs to be looked at seriously by your club and fans.

You had committee members next to a guy who was arguing with our players and never said anything. Behind our dug out. Big guy 30s or (hard paper round) grey tee shirt white and pink trainers. Shouts nothing about shit every time I’ve seen him.

People in glass houses shouldn’t through stones.

Nobody is saying any abuse is right. We’re getting petty in arguing about whose doing it the most.

I wasn't shouting at anyone, merely responding to their snide comments about us supporting our players. Does that excuse the homophobic comments? Does it f**k

Your fans are far from perfect believe me. Ive heard much of the same shouts from your supporters but you don’t see us complaining about it. You pay £6 to get in and people get carried away at times. I’m not condoning it but as long as it’s not over the top. Your fans have slated Blackie calling him a poof etc when his family are at the game aswell but still no complaints from anyone.

Who cares. It’s just part of the banter.

Looking forward to the next game

Calling someone a 'poof' is never just "part of the banter" not sure why you feel it necessary to defend the actions of a minority of your fans. Any time I hear anything like that from my own fans I'll call it out, sad that you cant do the same.

As others have mentioned Bo'ness did their part to resolve the issues with a minority of fans ruining it for the majority, sad that the reaction from others is to instead try and deflect in whatever way they can. In terms of Ian Black, I've not heard homophobic abuse sent towards him, but had I done I would be one of the first in calling it out
