  1. I remember Chic as being decent when he joined us.  He was our 4th keeper to play that season and it was only the start of October!  He played in the infamous Blantyre Junior Cup penalty farce.
Andy Murphy succeeded him and has been, for the most part, top drawer.  Prone to occasional lapses but against that has saved so many points on his own.  We also got the best out of Scott Christie.
Also, one 'keeper with a 100% shutout rate deserves a mention...…..Robert Sloan [emoji122][emoji3]
    Poorest?  Lucas Birstingl anyone?
Lack of praise here for big Scott "Rhino" Richie, that penalty shoot out at Dalkeith certainly shut up a lot of doubters ourselves included!

Wil never forgive Mark Peat for some of the clangers he had, none more so than the Arbroath game in the Scottish Cup when he was standing in direct sunlight cupping his eyes while a shot came in.
  2. Surely in this case it's the same with the situation in the EoS premier as even if HoB were to win all their games in hand they would still have been behind

Bonnyrigg were never in control of their own destiny. Even if we were able to play all league games. They will certainly be disappointed but don't think they can complain too much.
  3. LL have ended season and awarded Kelty the trophy, considering how close things were between Kelty and Bonnyrigg, I would suggest that this should set a precedent for the EOS leagues. No reason now why teams at top shouldn't be awarded title like in every other Scottish league (if Dundee FC stop blocking the SPFL motion that is)Screenshot_20200413-170602_Twitter.jpeg

Championship form.  Small margins make all the difference in football.

Only failed to score in one game so far this season in the league (Blackburn at home 1-0 to them) and on top of that still the team with the most goals scored in the league. All these 1 or 2 goal wins add up as a season goes on

    Midfielder again

    Sauchie again

One of the places our early season injury crisis was hit hardest by, plus the guy can play full back as well? When Sauchie visited they had a couple of decent looking players who for whatever reason just didnt gel with one another, cant write people off before they've even had a chance to play.

    Mark Peat

    Chic Connolly

    Steven Kiczynski

    Anton Hefron

    Aldin El-Zubaidi

    Alan Comrie

    Jordan Cropley

    Joe Prince Wright

    Mark Cowan

    Robbie Feeney

    Darren Downie

no place for Declan McAvoy or Chris Mackie in this duds 11? Inclusion of Mark Cowan is more than a bit unfair as he actuallu did contribute some goals for us in the time he wasn't injured. Also harsh on Mark Peat when Connor Wallace was around this decade

It was a foul and Don should be booked wasn't disgusting though as you are putting it but it was a foul and should have been a booking.

Yeah exactly your team did their job thats what I said.

Nothing disgusting about a studs up challenge that saw a young player having to be helped off the pitch? Someone really is seething tonight huh?

  8. Guess this thread is probably the best place to put this question, who makes your Team of the Decade? Had a good chat about this today with Jambo and Dave and we came up with a

    4-3-3 of

    Murphy/Jamieson

    Snowdon Duffin McQueen Hunter

    Shirra Gemmell Sloan

    Walker Hislop Gribben

Never decided on a bench, but personally I would have one of the two keepers above plus, Stevenson, Campbell, Wright, Keast.

Yes but it was game management from boness towards the end when we had the ball on the deck we were a threat. Getting it up in the air just killed us.

Keeper made a worldly aswell for boness. As I said to ur gateman before the game the way you won against hob is what wins titles wins like that and today win yousnleagues

Almost like we had an understanding of your tactics and knew how to nullify them. Btw Alan whats your thoughts on that disgusting tackle on McKenzie seeing as you're deflecting about the lino laughing about it?

2016 and a low point in the relationship with the SJFA.  The setting was a Junior Cup 3rd Round replay at home to Blantyre Victoria.  The match itself finished 2-2 after goals by Ross Campbell & Fraser Keast.  It was then that the farce started.  The referee, despite being urged otherwise to go straight to penalties, as per the rules, decided to play extra-time.  After the first 15 mins and darkness descending, he then chose to go to penalties.  The BU's lost 4-3 but most fans expected the result to be nullified due to the error made by the ref.  An appeal was made but amazingly dismissed.

The team was: Clark, Gemmell, Devine (Snowdon), Campbell, Hunter, Ru McLennan (Wright), Strickland, Philp, Keast, Simpson, Rod McLennan (Sloan)

That should have been the end of our relationship with Junior football, from that moment on any credibility in staying junior was gone for me personally
