Just noticed Speirs has tweeted today the original article by Traynor where he bangs on about billionaire Whyte riding to the rescue, warchests etc.( sorry I don`t know how to attach links ) Bit of a dirty trick but hilarious and I suppose if the gloves are off.... Here`s hoping Traynor is proved to have been on the take. Seems more likely than Prince Albert and Lumley getting dragged in to it !

I think your right and when you look at the number of players involved and factor in agents, other players, mates, wags etc then surely chico and traynor ( useless as they are ) must have had contacts somewhere in amongst all those who knew. Think its fair to assume that we Dudds would have confided in someone as soon as this broke. Think it`s also fair to assume that a raft of other players were offered these deals but chose to sign elsewhere. Did none of their agents ask other clubs why they couldn`t offer a similar deal to that on the - sorry - under the table at Ibrox. Strange that none of the current management team are involved............

So, in theory, on Monday we will know what happens next.... Going by this farce so far that seems unlikely. Eventually ?!?! Rangers will either go via newco to the 3rd or stay in the SPL thanks to chairmen voting against the wishes of their own fans. No-one will be fooled by any sanctions imposed as ( sadly ) they will still finish 2nd in the SPL for the foreseeable OR they will rapidly emerge back in the SPL with a tweaked name and no debt. What will have changed ? I sense an anti - climax. This is the best and perhaps last chance for some real change in Scottish football, leagues and national team. My latest cider induced thought is to introduce a handicap system as in golf and horse racing. Both been successful for the odd century or two. Why not have any team who chooses to spend money on new signings deducted 1 point per £ 500,000 spent. So, in the summer or in January, if you drop £3million on new signings you are deducted 6 points etc. Hopefully no - one would respond with... what the f**k, we may as well concentrate on bringing on some of our young players. If you take this arguement in reverse ( I`m confusing myself now ) Imagine someone suggesting doing away with the handicap system that is in place at the moment for say the Grand National. That would mean suggesting that we just let the biggest, most powerful horses run away with it while everyone else trails in miles behind happy to take the tv money. Sound familiar ?

I would say your on to something. The OF are always sticking together with their joint sponsorship deals and voting arrangements. Surely in all this somewhere lurks an opportunity to level the playing field. Fairer splits of tv revenues, sharing of gate receipts, bigger league etc. The 2 of them have been trying to F off South for years. If Rangers were wound up then would they even bother entering again at the bottom of Scottish football ? or would they take the opportunity to join at the lowest level in England.

Bought tickets today for James at the concert hall Glasgow next month. Anyone out there seen them before with an orchestra ????
