  1. My view is that there needs to be a root and branch clear out at certainly ownership and BoD levels,to try and reverse the downward decline in the club's fortunes. As things stand at the moment, the current BoD are to announce a loss of £53 k for the year to 31 May 2023.The BoD are also seeking re-election at this meeting. There is therefore no imminent change of direction at this level. My view is that the senior board members are culpable of not reaching out to the wider Levenmouth public and selling the EF brand within the community.A phrase I have used for years and which was relayed by a Board Member to me several years ago."They Ken whaur we are". The efforts of Fifers For The Community, East Fife Community Club,EFTV and the EF Commercial team just show what can be achieved when reaching out to both fans and the wider community. At ownership level, it does appear that there is to be a fans buyout. The current owner appears to want to sell while there does not appear to be a buyout proposal from the BoD. There are many fans that I know who wish to effect a buyout by making monthly contributions to make this happen.Unfortunately there appears to be a lack of information from the EF Supporters Society which would encourage such supporters to actually commence making these payments. Over to you EF Supporters Society. The current BOD deserve great credit in saving the club several years ago. Unfortunately that was then. At managerial level,I can understand the opinion of some fans who wish Dick Campbell and Pink to be appointed. But John Young and Rab Douglas as a package.? The next 2 home games will determine Greigs future.
  2. I think he scored 1 goal in the 8-0 trouncing of Stranraer. He was too young and did not get enough game-time to form an opinion.
  3. Sean Docherty's contract extension to the end of 2024/25 is well deserved.
  4. I agree with Specky Ginger.Darren Young had reached the end of his shelf life and something had to change. What irked me was the timing of his removal. A few days before the Scottish Cup Tie away to Banks of Dee.
  5. Personally,I wish the negotiators well .I hope that they take on board the value placed on the shareholding by their professional advisers and walk away if Mr Rankine wishes a larger settlement.
  6. Admission v Dundee is £10 and £5 for concessions. All fans in Main Stand.
  7. Shepherd was sent off v Clyde in last season's playoffs.Presumably he will be missing on Saturday?
  8. Looks like we have signed Calum Hambrook formerly Hearts. No 20 ? From game v Fraserburgh.
  9. Cannot disagree with what has been said although in my opinion, if EF play a 442 system Brogan Walls is far better on the right side with Healy on the left.If 451 ,Walls should play in central midfield. I thought that Elgin City gave everything they had although were a bit 1 dimensional with the long ball back to front in the first half. When played through midfield they looked decent. From an EF perspective, we know the team can play better through midfield.Defensively on the right side ,a bit poor. Up front, dangerous with a proven goalscorer and wide men who are pacy and not afraid to take on defenders.
  10. That was 9 years ago. Certainly the EF performance was much better than Tuesday night.Defensively much stronger and there was a structure in place. Not too sure about 2 left sided central defenders.Would also like to see Docherty start .
  11. Part of my problem is that I listen to gossip.
  12. Looks like an experienced Centre Back is to be announced tomorrow. The one positive from last night is that we know that the experienced players can play better. Sean Docherty, the right back was the pick of the loanees, but whether there is a place available in that position is debatable. The young centre half was just not good enough. Personally I think that the club has shown too much loyalty to certain players who have served the club well over the years but are now only bit players.
  13. Apparently DU won 3-2.Match held at St Andrews Uni.Fash and Cunningham for EF.
  14. Plus we had at least 2 central defenders on trial yesterday, 1 ex Hearts and 1 ex Cowdenbeath. PS hope it is not necessary but MC Manus has in the past played Centre half. Personally would not be averse to Taylor Steven returning.
  15. Can anyone give an update on Q and A? or indeed any of the players who we missre training
  16. You are interested in Aaron Steele a 21 year old 6ft 1 inch centre half who played successfully as right back for the latter part of last season.Did OK as a right back but better,in my opinion,as either a right sided back 3 defender or a centre half.Good prospect with an exceptionally long throw.Scored a few headed goals from corners/free kicks.
  17. Signing news tomorrow on the hour every hour.
  18. Season Tickets now for sale for 2023/24.Same price as 22/23.
  19. Just to confirm that Bawbee Brig now closed and Temporary Bridge in place.Path in place from roundabout at Bawbee Brig to new roundabout at South Road for those who wish to walk.Would suggest parking at Swimming Pool and walking to Bayview for those who do not wish to park at Bayview.
