Just to clarify, options seem to be: 1. Accept transfer embargo and get Rangers' SFA Membership 2. Refuse (1) so appelate tribunal reconvene and apply a different sanction, which would get Rangers' SFA Membership 3. Refuse (1) and (2) and Sevco apply for their own SFA Membership. However, they do not appear to meet the criteria for a new member or would need to provide a lot of paperwork etc... which they may be unable to do. Certainly, it has been suggested they do not meet them. Edit: as far as I remember, it's effectively Bronze standard of Club Licencing, or not a million miles off that.

At least Spartans are paid up members of the SFA! As far as I can gather, yes. If NewcoRangers want the oldco's SFA membership, they take the various punishments coming their way such as tribunal punishments, fines and payment of footballing debt. If they cannot accept, they apply to join SFA as a new member, and have to provide a raft of documents about who and what they are.

Doncaster said relegation has taken place: Pars down, Ross Co up. As Oldco Rangers have been removed from SPL (he specified Rangers were *not* relegated as newco were only applying to get in, and that was refused) then it came down to a decision of sporting merit who replaced them, and SPL chairmen voted for Dundee. No precedent exists or is relevant as relegation has taken place, and no one is being denied promotion on a technicality, as has been the case before. Oldco Rangers' SPL share will transfer to Dundee, by force if necessary, Doncaster said. The sanctions for newco are for them to take on Rangers SFA membership. That comes with the sanctions. They can dodge those only by applying to become new SFA members, but they don't meet any of the criteria to do so. They are therefore caught between a rock and a high place.

Biggest issue with coverage from lower leagues is Press Association. They are dire and really haven't got a scooby about Scottish football, hence all the player names they cock up, or the failure to cleanse their own database to avoid the mistake being repeated - or websites relying on them and compounding the errors.

How about.... Scottish Professional Football League to form in 2013-14 with applications invited to it's full time divisions, based on merit, sporting integrity, financial clout, blah blah. Clubs not making up the 2 Professional divisions will be invited to form a pair of associated part-time divisions. A 42 club solution. Sevco FC to play 2012-13 in SFL3 then be invited into the 2nd tier 'SPFL2' at worse.

Different issue completely. Fat Sally already knew who they were and wanted their names to be made public to suit his (and the media's) own agenda. I just want these chairmen to not get the silver they chased. I think you've forgotten who's side you are on. Super Caley Sevco Ballistic? Anyway, going by the pathetic whining of your chairman today, you lot are next onto the 'quisling' list, for those of us out there that believe in standing together for a common cause. No to sevco anywhere above Div 3.

Sevco are where they are. Justice would appear to have been done. However, if more chairmen had voted along the lines of Accies, QOS etc, then justice would not have been done. Many chairmen have voted with their hearts on this, not their heads. A vote from the heart was what the majority of supporters demanded, if only because anything else would be an admittance that Scottish Football only exists for the benefit of the Old Firm. The 'Newco to SFL1' was was all about saving the collective arses of the SPL sides, who had made a terrible series of commercial decisions. It's not about Armageddon or Death To Scottish Football. It's about chairmen who budgeted for a meagre sum of TV money (meagre because they had given the Old Firm a hefty wedge of it) and without it they were shitting bricks. Where does the money go? Into the pocket of average journeymen from Colchester willing to play for a grand a week. These 4th rate mercenaries will now hopefully bugger off as they do little to improve our game. We cannot be England and shopping in that market is akin to a tramp trying to buy his tea in Waitrose, combing through the bargain bin come closing time. Away supporters need to know who voted against sporting integrity simply because they will travel to watch their team, perhaps buy a programme, pie etc, pay in... all to the benefit of the away team if it's a league game. All for one and one for all! Or as the chairmen of the 'quislings' would put it: "All for one and each man for himself!" Greed.

Can you explain in simple terms why it is unimportant to know the chairmen / teams who decided to vote against sporting integrity? These people have shown absolute disrespect to their own customers and have thumbed their nose at the 'tartan summer' zeitgeist. Sevco to SFL3 is unsatisfactory but it is realpolitik. While they might be a bit of a mess off-field, it is likely to resolve - someone will buy Green out now they're worth little and have dodged the debt - and they have massive potential to be successful again. Their absolute loss would have gone against common sense far more than what the combined chief executives wished for... However, Sevco to SFL1 shits all over the history of our national game as it effectively says: "go bust? expect only a demotion - provided you are one of the two most successful clubs in Scottish football history". Sevco had acquired the assets, something iirc Airdrie United had not done when they unsuccessfully applied to replace Airdrieonians. A newco with assets should go in at the bottom. Only SELF INTERESTED GREED would vote against sporting integrity for money. So I ask again: can you explain in simple terms why it is unimportant to know the chairmen / teams who decided to vote against sporting integrity?

I touted Greipel for the Green Jersey a few weeks back and while that's unlikely with the Tourminator in such form, he's brought his early season sprint prowess into the TdF. The sprinters seem to follow each other around so he has been winning against decent guys. Go gorilla!

People have a go at Richard Gordon but at least he will occasionally offer an opinion. Rob MacLean seems to have a fondness for sheep of the roasted variety, washed down with a fine red wine. I guess coming from the North (former Dons fan, now County? Blows with the wind too) the fondness for sheep is not unusual, but he is a dreadfully bland presenter and avoids controversy with the same kind of gusto Ex Rangers dodged debt.
