  1. Re our strikers... I remember reading a thread on DundeeMad after the game at Dens, wanting to sign Roberts...others nominating him for the 'player you secretly admire' on another thread. Lets not foget he is only 19. Yes, inconsistent, frustrating, lazy, I could go on. But the lad does have ability, in the first away game @ Livi, here he is scoring a perfect hattrick http://www.livingstonfc.co.uk/livitv/falkirk240813/livitv.php As for Loy, as mentioned 11 goals this season - one less than McDonald. He even scored 2 against you earlier in the season at TFS. When you compare the striking tally's of McDonald (12), Beattie (4) & Monti (1) to Loy (11), Roberts (5) & Shepherd (1) we're pretty evenly matched. Are you really going to write them off after one game? I realise they aren't exactly Farid or Taylor quality, but they aren't quite as toothless as you are making out. As for Faulds I did wonder why he seemed to burst on to the scene suddenly and then disappear in to the U20's for a full season. Decent technical ability and scored a peach against Raith Rovers, just needs to keep his head down and work hard. As for McGeever...hopefully someone gives him a boot up the arse if he needs it.
  2. Don't see why not, Dundee are mince (or saved their worst two performances of the season for the games against us), Hamilton are wobbling and Raith Rovers have long term injuries to key players. The league is ours for the taking and a smart bit of business in January can see it delivered
  3. Whilst our team doesn't look unfit, it would explain why we have needlessly lost late goals at home to Morton, Dundee, Livingston & Raith Rovers when 3 or 4 nil up. It could just be down to poor substitutions as in other games (ie at Dens) we have ben excellent for the full 90 minutes.
  4. Our pitch is the dogs bollocks. Complete with smart Navy Blue astro trim round the edges. What is this grass pish? Can't wait to see these in a couple of months time
  5. Weegie mink. I hope we told The Rangers that the pitch had to be entirely replaced, and have charged them accordingly.
  6. I would agree Roberts is improving. It wasn't a dig at him. More laughing at Dundee fans wanting to splash the cash on a guy on a 2 year contract...still not learned their lesson. Maybe Admin 3 will finally knock some sense in to them... If Roberts continues to work on his attitude and who knows, learn to run about like Loy does, he could turn in to a very good player at this level. He is only 19. The Cowden striker Hemmings who I quite like is 22, and his finishing was very erratic on Saturday.
  7. I don't post on OneF. Genuinely think if we were where Inverness are right now, certain posters still wouldn't be happy. And still proudly post to tell people their excuses for not attending matches. Reading through some other teams forums, they seem to have equal moron percentages. eg some boy on DundeeMad was wanting them to sign Roberts
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong, but was the offended lass on OneF not the same one that thought the boos at the end of the first half were for Roberts and not the ref? Or not for the Dundee players as they came out at the start of the second? Going on about them 'fucking off to Ibrox' when the song was clearly audible as "f**k your pope and f**k your queen" too... Genuinely think some folk get their jollies out of winding up their own supporters. That aside, I'd still love to hear where the police got this 'last two away games' nonsense from. You couldn't make it up.
  9. Apparently at 'our last two away games'. Absolute horse shite. Nothing more than complete barefaced lies from the Police. I was at Hamilton. There was no singing from the Falkirk end. None at all. As for the Dundee game, I can only assume it referred to the "Hello hello how do you do, we hate the boys in royal blue, we hate the boys in emerald green, so f**k your pope and f**k your queen" chant. This has been sung many times by many clubs (Partick Thistle, Dundee Utd, St Johnstone to name a few) over the years. And lets not mention what is sung at Ibrox and Parkhead every other week... The police can seriously go away and take a flying f**k to themselves. Justice for the 300.
  10. I wonder if VT still believes a squad full of journeyman players is the correct way to run your football club
  11. The new pitch looks absolutely sensational. As said above, all that is missing now is an east stand/terrace. This as well. Should move it right to the mouth of the tunnel so it is used properly - like Amarillo, it's a Falkirk tradition.
  12. Was speaking to him on the pitch on Monday. Said he was bringing in a CH (McCracken) and a Striker on loan.
  13. He'll be 35 in January. I don't think we have the budget to sign more than one player and Holt has made it pretty clear any future signings will be of the loan variety. And that his priority is a striker.
  14. To state the obvious, he will give us height and experience in central defense As mentioned above, slight concern with his injury record at St Johnstone. At 31 hopefully he can keep fit and give us a few good seasons
  15. Re Firhill standing idea in the SS, make it so. I always stand and when you get a group of even 100 together it improves the atmosphere eleventy billion percent. Maybe the club could put proper barriers round the east side and in the corners so we can safely change ends at half time? It's the stuff of dreams I tell ya! Re Goal music, it has to be Amarillo. Just because that **** Johnathon Sutherland had a go at it, we change it? I don't think so
  16. That navy is astro is smart as f**k. Couldn't we have done the whole pitch in it?
  17. United fans don't seem to rate him at all, and he seems a long way off a first team place. Would be fantastic to see him back. Make it so Martin
  18. Sir Farid Is he surplus to requirements at Brentford now? I know they brought in a lot of players over the summer
  19. Robbie Neilson on trial at Dumbarton Taylor & Flynn on the bench for Sheffield United tonight ETA: And Showunmi on the bench for Notts County
