Done alright today. More than broke even. I actually stuck Mastercraftsman on to win as well as Rayeni and went through with my Each Way on Soul City. I had those last three as an EW Trixie which I made a loss on. Its' success was heavily reliant on Courageous getting a place at least.

I know I pledged I wouldn't but I wound up having another punt yesterday. EW Patent. Newmarket. 2:20; Tarita. 2.55; Special Reserve. 4.05; Tryst. Tryst was the only one to place. Special reserve's race was a bizzare one! Staggered by that. Feeling suitably ticked at that one I stuck £2 EW on Martyr in the 4.40 and alas a winner. Balancing the books. £1 Up for the day actually. Guineas at Curragh today and I fancy Rayeni to win it. Soul City looks a very good Each Way shout. Soft conditions are throwing it. Delegator & Mastercraftsman, albeit they're very good horses, haven't proven anything on soft as of yet and the betting bodes well for Rayeni at present. Elsewhere I'll have Courageous in the 2.50 at Newmarket. Each Way. Desert Creek in the 3.40 at Haydock & Air Chief Marshall in the 2.40 at Curragh.

What was the tips guys? How did it fair?

Mistress Kaytee in the 7.20 at Worc. 33/1 Shot making the transition from flat to jumps. Good flat horse might I add. Didn't place. Had a couple on it each way. Didn't have any time to analyse the horses quite erratic picks. The other was Seymour Weld in the 8.20. Favourite. Didn't even place. Again a couple to win. Dry run of form at the moment. Comes from not getting the Post in the mornings! (At work rather than College). Nothing on, less it's a tip, until Saturday now. NB* Gave Accies1 what would be my have been my picks for a few races at Kelso today. Two came up. Emotive placing and Hollows Mill winning. Whether or not he's backed them I don't know. Told him to stick them EW. Although two what were sticks on for me in Coq Hardi & Catch Bob didn't even place. Wonder how he's got on.

Gutted. Really had thought that would returned. (It was a trixie in the end not a treble). Free Agent's a massive let down I'd been talking it up too. Looked a really good horse last year. Seriously good. It'll never be anything significant now and my fly one for the Derby is out the window now. Ah well. Down to Duncansfield tonight for the Kilsyth Rangers game. Looked a banker I must say. Had Red Kestrel in the 1.40 as well. Each way. Good price. Unfortunately didn't place either. Watched the 2.40 In the bookies. Disappointed with Queen's fille Enticement. Disappointing third. Expected a much better run had contemplated backing.

Just about to say. Mytivil 100/1 Shot in second. DB62 beat me to it. By the way, who do we all fancy for the Derby? After this weekends exploits Fame & Glory is 5/2; 3/1 ante-post favourite depending on what bookies you're using. Can't see past him at the moment. Looks something special. Sea The Stars joint favourite with some but F&G edging mainly. Really does look an exceptional horse. Been keeping an eye out for another though. By the name of Free Agent (Colt). Queen's Horse. Unbeaten to date albeit only in two outings. Its' maiden (Class 4 Leicester) and a follow up at Ascot (Class 1). Won both very convincingly. 5 lengths and 2 1/4 respectively. That was just under a year ago. Absent through hoof injury. Was due to race the other week there but withdrew late on. In contention for Epsom. Present odds something like 33-1. Depending on what happens between now and then I reckon I'm for a punt on it (EW). Just got a bit of an inkling. Looked a very classy, powerful horse not that long ago. Element of mystery surrounding brings an attractiveness.
