Falkirk fans are a colourful bunch. All the best to Kingsley, his development over the past w years has been frightening, if he keeps it up, he'll not be far from senior internationals in the coming years.

Darren Hill, right. We'll see.

I would be shocked if Millar signs now.
You would be. Reckon if we sign a striker, midfielder (Millar or otherwise), defender and a keeper we'll be in decent enough shape for next season. That really is the minimum though, allows us to have more or less the same size of squad as last year, however I'd hope we'd manage to significantly improve on Beck and Flynn at least.

Don't know how folk can expect Houstie to be signing players just now, he's not even met the team yet!

Jesus f**k! Anyone know when the cup draws are made?

MacDonald
Duffie Vaulks McCracken Dick
McGrandles Millar
Alston Sibbald Skacel
Loy
With three additions as above and Kingsley leaving, I think that looks a quality team. Possible weaknesses at full back but if we started the season with that I'd be creaming over the midfield and attack.
As unlikely as it is, I'd fucking love it if that was our starting XI come August. Really, we'd need to add at least another 2 players in addition to those 3 though - a striker as back up to Loy and another defender.

Jamie MacDonald is one of the handful of keepers in Scotland I'd say is better than Mick, I'd be fucking delighted with him signing. Same goes for Skacel. Sadly, I think it's unlikely. Source for these rumours?

Anyone have any idea who the player/coach he's bringing in are?

Well chuffed with this if indeed it is true. Board hardly kept it a secret but at least they made it clear they're looking for an experienced manager this time. However, does anyone think it's strange that we reportedly had 41 folk still in the frame as of this morning, and we're ready to make an appointment tomorrow afternoon? Were 38 of the applicants complete chancers or something?

And the opinion of many other fans and also people within the game. Only the people have an agenda against Pressley will say otherwise
Hang on, so what you're saying is that the only folk that disagree with you have an agenda against Elvis? Do you not maybe just think they have differing opinions?

Dunno if any of you have had a look at this yet. Good read but some of the names mentioned in it are absolutely terrifying. What do folk think about Bobby Williamson?

It's guaranteed he will be the cheap option.
Ritchie shops in Lidl you know
Most probably both. The sooner we all accept that the vast majority of Falkirk fans are a bunch of moany b*****ds who will always find a reason to complain about every decision the BoDs make, the better.

I'm gonnae make a solid 100% guarantee of a prediction.
Once we announce our new manager, some bellend tells us he's no happy and won't be back til he's gone.
Falkirk fans are bawbags by the way.
Another safe bet is our new manager will either be "a complete c**t who shouldn't be anywhere near our club" or "the cheap option."

What's Mark Millar like? Rumours that he's been linked to The Dee.
No see him when he ripped the pish out of your midfield 3 times last season?

I think he's only stayed so long as he has because he wanted to go with us up to the Premiership, with guaranteed 1st goalie spot. There's very little chance of that for a few years now. Doubt if he'll be going to Hamilton though, thought they had a decent keeper already?
They have Kevin Cuthbert, solid enough most of the time but can be a bit shaky - see the first goal he conceded against Hibs. I imagine Hearts and Hibs will be sniffing around as well though.

Would seem strange for him to make a decision on his future while away playing with his country though, no? Having said that, I can't see him re-signing for us now. Has openly said he's looking to play at a higher level and seems to be stalling on it.

I think it's going to be McCall or Jeffries.
Thought Jefferies myself actually. Wouldn't be too pissed off at that.

Oh ffs, no-one's seriously entertaining the thought of Greig McDonald are they? Stirling fans wanted him out until they went on a great run towards the end and somehow won the playoffs. Nowhere near good enough I'm afraid, by a long shot.

Those seats will have already brought in money for the club, given someone will have paid a fair amount to sit there for the season. I have no problem with people not wanting to move seats. Again, they've paid their money, they're entitled to voice their opinion. Just because some feel different doesn't mean they're in the wrong.
The main stand is far from shit. I had a season ticket there from the year we last won the 1st, to the end of last season and it was fine at worst. It could be argued the atmosphere is poor compared to the south stand (it is), but that doesn't make it shit. In those 8-9 years I never once seen anyone getting pulled up for swearing either.
FWIW, had I still had my season ticket I'd have been one of those getting moved and it wouldn't bother me too much. I however wouldn't like the idea of being asked/told to move if we had a temporary stand up as well. IMO the idea of a temporary stand should be to house the extra away supporters to avoid having to move our own. You'd still be getting an extra 1,000 away supporters through the gate.
Fair enough, but what if sticking the temporary stand up was to add an extra 1k on top of the income generated from giving them half the main stand? Sorry man but it makes perfect sense. The club are just trying to maximise income and I don't really understand how or why some people would be unhappy to move seats a few times per season, especially since they're now being warned before tickets go on sale.

3k is enough for any away support anyway. We've shown in our playoff games that we can attract crowds to merit the full main stand being open. This never happened in any of our previous fixtures against Hearts, Hibs or Rangers in our stint in the top flight.
FTOF.
Agree to a point, and I don't think for a minute that we'd give half the main stand to Rangers knowing that the walk up home support on the day would fill it out. But come on, if we're not using half the stand ourselves then I don't think it's unreasonable to ask a few hundred Falkirk fans to temporarily sit elsewhere to accommodate 1k+ away fans and thus generate a healthy amount of income.

Re the main stand ST holders, are these folk really saying they'd rather see 1k away supporters worth of income turned away twice a season so they can sit in their normal seat? f**k them.

Why why why the f**k are Rangers strong favourites ahead of the 2 Edinburgh sides?

Looks suspect to me.

Now we've been landed with Hibs as well, what do folk think should be our goals for next season? 4th place?
