  1. Surely if they were liquidated, the players would be sold off as they are "assets"?
  2. I doubt any serious bidders will exist who will stomach that exposure. It's usual for them to say people are interested, in the same vein an estate agent will tell you someone else is interested in the property you are offering on.
  3. Of the "millions" pledged by the hoarde, how much of it is actually their benefits, paid for by legitimate taxpayer's money? I'd imagine the GDP of the hoarde will be 70% less than the UK's average, with a credit rating on par with Greece.
  4. I get the impression that years of malpractice will be attributed to Craig Whyte now
  5. Not really, at the very least they make material cuts, not two players leaving of their own accord.
  6. So Craig Whyte is "not fit and proper" Cue in due course business as usual for Rangers, "because it was all Craig Whyte's fault, we're going to pretend like nothing happened" Don't a lot of you feel like absolutely nothing will happen to them, just losing 10 points and potentially Euro football for 3 seasons? This has to be the worst administration ever and a terrible reaction by the higher echelons of Scottish Football. If this was not Rangers or Celtic, and if the facts are correct, the club would have been shut down, lost all trophies etc.
  7. So what exactly is going on? is this "administration" just all smoke and mirrors? Has heart disease in certain areas of Glasgow (well, all of Scotland) reached epidemic proportions?
  8. Where's the best place to follow the live news? Such an epic event deserves a live blog (i.e. like BBC's live football one). Even better would be if there is a live camera feed of the front (or back?) door at Ibrox as each neatherthal is asked to leave.
  9. Late 20s. I am telling you what my personal experience was when we lived up north. Of course, there was a lot of racism in Scottish football, in fact I remember in '97 when some idiotic Falkirk fan in the cup final started making monkey chants (nearly everyone around had a massive go at him), but we never received any at any grounds bar from Rangers fans. Hell even the Pars fans at the choir never Brockville once shouted anything to me Any racist abuse I got when I was a kid in the street was always a Rangers fan. My favourite was in my final year up north at 18, passing a random guy in my Falkirk top who was wearing a Gers top on Grahams Road... "You muslim P*** b*****" Me: "Err, I'm actually Christian and from nowhere near Asia" "F*** you ya f**** c***" Right...
  10. No8, with all due respect, I'd safely say that the most xenophobic and racist supporters in the UK are probably Rangers fans (see my post for experience). Not saying you all are (in fact one of my best childhood friends is a Rangers fan, but he acknowledges you have a larger than average contingent of Neanderthals)
  11. No arguments. My father is foreign, and at the time had no preference for a Scottish team. He told me about he went to Ibrox to watch Rangers, and was racially abused by multiple Rangers fans, and the stewards did not care. He told me about how he went to the toilet, and 2 Neanderthals stood around him calling all sorts of racist names under the sun. This was his first experience of Scottish football at the hands of "the people". He then went to Celtic Park, and his experience was the complete opposite (I remember this as a kid), they welcomed him, knew he was a "newbie" and treated him with utmost respect. As a youngster I also experienced racial abuse generally. However, let me tell you, in almost every instance (bar one), the person dishing it out was a Rangers fan.
  12. Why would it be insured via an insurance company? I presume they would have bought a CDS on Rangers Plc/Ltd whatever it is if they wanted to "insure" their future cashflows. I am sure the premium would have been stupidly high though
  13. Just a random view... You can default on your obligations irrespective of your financial position (i.e. the £9m). Just like a consumer, you may forget to pay a bill for 6 months and technically you are in default as part of that financial agreement, even if you were a millionaire. The difference here is what is their financial position optically. That money could be used to pay off "liabilities" to the holding company, we do not know how CW has re-modelled the club's accounts (i.e. no AGM or disclosures). The cash flows could have been sent anywhere. How do you know the holding group has not issued another loan to secure some of that cash flow (for example)? Obviously we do not have all the facts and are second guessing, but its one view is that the "Rangers FC" we know of could just be a ringfenced toxic liability dumping ground, the new entity will be held to fair value based on assets with minimal liabilitiies (i.e. asset stripped), which outweighs the actual money he has spent.
  14. They are really cool, friend has one behind what would have been one of the goals, it definatelystill has a Highbry vibe to it. Shame the area isnt that great.
