Ross Stewart is hardly a kid, he’s 25 in April. As for Devine, his quick rise from Motherwell youth to training with the first team and playing regularly for the reserves must have caught a few eyes.

The first that comes to mind is Jamie Longworth who we agreed to sign but we then opted out of the move. He went on to be a decent scorer in the Scottish lower leagues.

Lyon is more than capable of filling in at RB. I’d rather he was in midfield tho.

It’s been mentioned and I wouldn’t be surprised tbh. Djorkaeff also been mentioned and AJ had him training with us plus he played in the bounce game against Rangers. Nothing has came of that one so maybe not pursuing that deal. Would probably be a coup with regards to his experience and leadership on the field but do we really need him? I’d rather use our resources on the midfield which is the weakest part of the team.

A winger and a creative central midfielder is priority for me. I think we could get by with what we have just now at the back.

This move has been in the works clearly, hence the loan signing of Devine. His attitude and commitment in his last game was an absolute joke. The club stood by him through his injury and for him to down tools like that is very poor indeed. This move is the best for all concerned as we get a bit of cash to bolster our midfield.

Our defeat was really down to our own players that have been at the club all season. Can’t lay much blame on the two debutants making their debuts after only signing 2 days previous. Brownlie made their debut a difficult one, once they’re settled I'm sure they’ll be fine. Midfield is now priority of course.

Not a lot of facts going about, just a lot of rumours and what ifs. We were absolutely gutter and once again failed to beat part time Alloa due to silly mistakes. I agree the team line up was wrong and only a couple of players got pass marks for me yesterday. We haven’t played a competitive game in a few weeks and it showed. Transfer business is far from done and hopefully we’ll all be pleasantly surprised next week.

That’s not the case with every player that signs a pre contract, behave.

We won’t with that midfield. Osman slows the play down too much and is so negative. I like Pybus but there’s just no creativity in the middle. In an ideal world we’d bring in a winger and a creative central player but I know that’s not going to happen. I’ll just settle for a winger.
