  1. In it's true that SPL are paying SFL £1.2M for TV rights (either per year or over 3 years) then... should the SFL's distribution model not be altered... these would be annual pay-outs to clubs:

If deal for £1.2M per season...

    ... £66,000 to SFL1 clubs

    ... £39,600 to SFL2 clubs

    ... £14,400 to SFL3 clubs

If deal for £400k per season

    ... £22,000 to SFL1 clubs

    ... £13,200 to SFL2 clubs

    ...... £4,800 to SFL3 clubs

One thing to remember is that the SFL3 clubs will now be on television I would imagine they will make more cash from adverts round

the ground and from adverts on their strips. I would imagine Rangers fans will moan at how little they will receive but their

kit deal and shirt sponsor deal will be worth loads more if on the telly.

An element that is often forgotten on the TV deal is that clubs in the SPL will receive loads more from having

their adverts on the telly. (I would imagine the doomsday scenario that Doncaster/Regan fed involved

a massive drop in sponsors money lost through not being on telly). You would think at hibs for

example if they are even half way clever Crabbies would pay more cash based on TV appearances.

The 1million offer for Rangers to be in the first division has to be the stupidest low ball bribe ever in

    the history of business.

Irn Bru seem to have got a bargain deal out of the whole Rangers thing. (they deserve that

as they seem to be a good sponsor)

  2. Cant believe people are still asking Doncaster

'Is this really really going to happen, what about SPL2 what about another last minute vote ,what about the SFA they

can still get them back in the SPL , 'facilitate' what about that is that about getting them back in the SPL'

    next it will be

'what about next season can we vote them back in then. What about we create SPL2 next year'

Regan/Doncaster bluff fest really did a number on some people.

Even Yorkstone tonight was even hinting that its not over yet blah blah blah.

Every single interviewer trying to get some kind of certainty.

In reality Doncaster must be embarrassed that know one now trusts a single thing he says and that's a fact.

As soon as the SFL voted them in SFL3 that was that.

Its over the fans and good guys have won a fight that should never have been needed.

  3. For the Love of God will Doncaster and Regan GTF.

(apologies for links to the Sun below. Also I think they they will be in SFL3 for sure now)

Now they hope to overcome the vote by 25 of the SFL's 30 clubs to banish the Light Blues into the bottom tier of Scottish football — by creating a new SPL2 league.

And there are even plans to consider reinstating Rangers to the SPL at a crisis meeting on Monday.

The plans are being driven by SPL supremo Neil Doncaster and SFA chief Stewart Regan, who has said putting Rangers in the Third Division rather than the first division would bring about a "slow, lingering death" to Scottish football.

Also Bill Leckie now the voice of the people wtf

So the blazers can scheme and scam all they like to try and shoehorn through an EssPeeEll2.

Let me tell them this here and now, though: If they get away with it, THEY'RE the ones who'll kill our game.

    http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/4428954/Dont-let-em-shaft-us-again.html

  4. Does anyone believe this SPL2 nonsense. Surely they would need a majority of

all clubs in SFL and SPL to agree or its a non starter.

When the SPL started did the clubs have to give two years notice ?

How can they force SPL2 on clubs. It appears the threats in that document were all

total bluffs that know one has fell for.

I predict that even when rangers are in SFL3 with the fixtures out, there will be weekly press stories

that they could any day now be sent straight back to the SPL/SFL1 and so on.

  5. I said before that I believe the majority of the SPL is in cahoots here.

From what my logic tells me, only Aberdeen and Hearts are truly against Newco. Everybody else is doubtful except my own club (at least the chairman) who is an embarrassing pro-newco fud.

Dundee Utd and Hibs are probably against, but it would not surprise me one jot if they were found to be part of a scheme to get Newco back into the SPL ASAP.

I really don't trust many of them at all, and nobody should.

Its believed the SPL offered SFL

    - play offs(not sure if this is just for one season)

    - 1 million bribe

Doncaster would have to have permission from the SPL clubs to give away their money(Could it be SFA money?).

Doncaster must have permission on the play off place(the part of the bribe that maintains the 2nd place team SFL

can have a chance of SPL after rangers walk the league(their plan)

So all the clubs in the SPL will be in favour of this. I would imagine it would take a 10-1 vote to push through

the proposal to get the bribe in place. So make no mistake all the SPL clubs are involved.

I think they would see that rangers cannot be in europe for 3 years anyway(the length of time you could

say it would take them to get back in the SPL). So the clubs will just see them as a way to get

a better TV deal and they would not have much bearing on the competition.

However one point is that imagine rangers are in the SPL in the top 6 and cant get into europe. The

top 6 is a battle of european places and one club cannot qualify. This is incredibly stupid as

    for instance

    - Rangers make the top 6 41

    - Hearts make the top 6 41

    - Dundee united make the top 6 41

-hibs dont make the top 6 40

    - Aberdeen dont make the top 6 40

So Rangers stop another team of even competing for a european place they cant compete for.

Who knows what level of stupid we will get next.

In effect if you pay any money to your club next year a percentage of that will be to facilitate

a bribe of 1 millions pounds to allow rangers to compete at the highest level possible.

Stick that in your season ticket broacher SPL clubs !

  6. No they're not, Stewart milne said exactly the same, as I believe have Hibs.

I keep posting that hibs made the point the vote should not be delayed. Which happened on the 29th

so clubs at that point were probably looking for a delay. We know that Doncaster is looking

to delay who else is. This is a mess.

The Chairman made the point that the vote should proceed without any further delay and that Hibernian FC will vote against the share transfer.

The resolution will fail if four other clubs vote against it or abstain.

If as a result of the vote on 4 July the Rangers newco is not voted into the SPL then it will be for other bodies to decide if and at what level Rangers might be accommodated within Scottish football.

  7. I don't believe anything thats comes out his mouth, the guy's full of shit imo.

I agree however I think that Celtic must be backing his viewpoint not publicly. Afterwards when there

goal is achieved (rangers in the SPL with sanctions) they can say what their fans want to hear.

There is clear indication (if the media would bother to check) that Publicly Aberdeen and Hibs want

    the vote to go ahead.

  8. One of Lawell's first statements when this whole saga begun was that Celtic do not need Rangers, he's making a rod for his own back if thats the case. Celtic supporters have not forgetten that. Believe you me, we will be as pissed off as the rest of you if Celtic were to say yes. I would like to hear something from the club now though, i felt the silence was justified at the start as there was nothing that could be said that was really make any difference in regards to the situation but now with all the stuff being said about Lawell, i think its best Celtic come out a clarify all this.

You think Doncaster would come and say that pish if celtic were not in agreement. I doubt he cares what Aberdeen or hibs think or hearts.

You think he would disregard the opinion of Celtic of which he must know and is surely banking on.

  9. I think that's an astonishing thing for Doncaster to come out with. I can't see how he can possible remain in his job if clubs continue on the path they are heading.

Doncaster must be doing what the clubs tell him to do. They can sack him if they want. The really sad thing is that fans

who have went out and bought season tickets on the back of 'NO' votes have been conned. The clubs

have took the money and now can do what they want.

I actually thought it was correct that they backed their club but now it seems those same clubs

are letting Doncaster look like the bad guy.

If the vote is postponed today it is over. The SPL will simply wait and wait till they get the decision they want.

  10. If the SFL clubs must vote Rangers into SF1 I want to see them add the following condition

1.) Neil Doncaster and Stewart Regan And Jim Traynor live on Sky Sports must

    - Present them the SFL3 and SFL2 trophys to Ally Mccoist and sevco with streamers

and balloons every Sevco player must stand inline and receive their medals.

2.) They have to cut back to Jim White in the studio for some kind of witty comment

  11. Ok so say Celtic & St mirren Boards are actually very in favour of Rangers going into SFL1.

We know for a fact St miren are in favour(although only for money reasons).

Celtic have not said anything(Their fans may assume they are not in favour, however

they must be in favour, as surely if Rangers whilst liquidated can influence scottish

football surely a solvent Celtic could force the SFL3 issue)

Now next season Rangers win SFL1 (all is great )

    - St mirren get relegated to SFL1

    - Celtic Win SPL

    Season after

    - Rangers on there first season back up sweep to a domestic treble under new funding

    - Celtic come 2nd

    - St mirren dont achieve promotion

So in two years the decision to parachute Rangers to the top of the sfl structure will

really come back to bite some clubs.

Any clubs who end up relegated from the SPL whilst rangers swap places. Their

fans will they show the loyalty to these clubs any more ?

My own conclusion is who gives a f**k any more the people who run our game

have shown their true colours whatever happens now there will be people turning

their back on the game. Not Sevco Or Celtic fans they will be back foaming

at the mouth the next time they meet.

  12. On sportsound they mentioned postponing the vote. Really this is getting more and more stupid.

On what basis would they postpone ? Further Power-point presentations ?

Have to keep posting what Hibs have said on this.

  13. The winner of the league gets 17% .. what exactly was unfair about that , it was up for grabs by all and sundry ?

Sorry you couldn't compete, you favour the sport where we all come first and there's no losers ...

Maybe golfers should just all split the prize money.

Darts players should all get the same .. just enter ...

    Get a grip ...

You probably advocate that school children shouldn't learn to compete either ...

You have more fans than us and that's not fair ... boo hoo ...

That's what it boils down to in the end.

    P.S ..

I have no problems with the sponsorship money being split more equally ... we'll still have the CL games and cash to look forward to ..

I take it the club that finishes 2nd this year will be pooling the money with the other clubs and ensuring it is divided up equally given their strong moral stance on this matter ... and the fans will be demanding they do so?

The money should be distributed more equally you agree so there should be no problem when Rangers leave ,this should happen ?

I would also say that when a club is on TV the home club should get a small sum to allow for the fact that many fans will

simply watch the game on TV.

My point was that Celtic and there fans will moan once they split the TV more fairly(1st should get more than last just not to the extent)

Since you seem to agree there is no problem.

  14. Oh dearie me ... Thanks for getting us a deal we could never have managed on our own, if you hadn't been around we could have signed for peanuts ... It's okay ... your welcome !!

Applying that logic to europe. I take it if eufa decided that Celtic coming from the small country of scotland

should not be allowed hardly any TV money even if they are in the champions league. All fair minded

football fans criticise the closed shop of the champions league.

I would imagine with Rangers gone from the league , the voting rights changed ,distribution of funds

more even ,we will hear celtic start to moan again about how unfair this is.

The fact is Rangers/Celtic have to play someone . The greed of Celtic/Rangers has badly stifled the whole

of the game in scotland. Most Celtic fans even fail to notice the 'old firm' .You in this post are happy

to celebrate that association and what is means for scottish football. I remember when celtic

were down with the also rans and your gates were falling rapidly your value to the league then

was little more than a play thing for Rangers.

  15. Get a grip

SKY have a contract .. end of.

If the SPL agreed to a clause they are entitled to enforce it.

If the SPL are squirming because of it .. then it is not SKY's fault.

You can't interfere with a business contract nor make them morally responsible for it.

The reason that the clause is in their is because Celtic and Old Rangers would not shut up

about leaving the league. So well done Celtic your pish helps save Rangers again. Rangers

talk about abandoning scottish football for years ,now they should play in SFL3 ,but they have to

be in SF1 because of the clause that they themselves created.

someone should have mentioned this article

    http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/sfl/2009/08/06/exclusive-livingston-deserved-to-be-relegated-to-division-three-blasts-airdrie-chairman-86908-21575189/

  16. The Daily Records attempt to Have Sevco put at the highest level they achieve with as few sanctions as possible.

Well that attempt is costing other clubs money. SPL fans and now because of the that stupid document and

the daily record and other media SFL fans are holding off investing in their clubs.

I would bet that this will actually not help sevco one bit. Ok chairman of SPL clubs are said to be

money greedy and they are selfish but they are mostly in there heads for fair play. I would

imagine that the Document they sent SFL clubs will have pissed off enough of them to vote

NO as well. The clubs that have said NO could not be any clearer.

I think they will end up in the 3rd division. Even with that the Daily Record will run stories about

secret talks to have them promoted. Even once they are chucked out of the SPL the daily

record will have articles claiming its not too late blah blah.

At an informal meeting of SPL clubs held at Hampden Park yesterday, the views of Hibernian FC were represented by Chairman Rod Petrie. The Chairman articulated very clearly that the Club is ready and willing to cast its vote on the transfer of the Rangers share in the SPL at the formal meeting of clubs on 4 July.

  17. So take any SFL3 club say Elgin.

"Hi Elgin do you want to Vote Rangers into SFL 1 ?"

Their ground holds 5,000 people nearly.

Say they charge £15 to play new co rangers + hospitality they make around

£80,000 and set to make £160,000.

Wait they are going to turn down £160,000 windfall in favour of the SPL keeping a TV deal.

Is this not a small obstacle in the way of this whole put rangers straight in SFL 1 thing.

  18. How many folk expected a point where there would be no Rangers in the SPL?

The clubs would have dearly loved to have just slotted them back in, no questions asked, but the scrutiny from supporters meant that wasn't allowed to happen. SFL fans can do the same. And why would SFL3 clubs vote for proposals which include introducing a pyramid?

Only last week the scotsman was predicting that their was not enough 'NO' Votes to stop them getting back in the SPL.

Many posters on here predicted that every club in the SPL would vote 'YES'

Now we have this 1st division nonsense on the go.

Their is more obstacles to putting them in the 1st division than there was in getting back into the SPL.

Its a good idea that fans keep the pressure on to stop any clubs in the SFL.

They will not get into the SPL.

The most likely scenario is that they will be in the 3rd division with some kind of further sanction.

Sky & ESPN deal will continue for next season with the value of the Old firms taken out 4m down.

Once they are out of the SPL the clubs will vote to scrap the 11-1 vote.

The SPL clubs will then announce a review of some kind of a working group to setup SPL TV.

I don't think there will be any kind of league reconstruction before the start of the new season.

There is only 1 big decision yet and thats who gets promoted Dundee/Dunfermline for some

reason Neil Doncaster does not want to confirm but he suggested it would be dundee.

  19. I hope you're right. The big question is why now? Why are these three bodies having meetings that were not scheduled, no-one knew they were going to happen, and, according to reports, went on past midnight. You know the answer as well as I do.

THE SFA DESCRIBED RANGERS ACTIONS AS BEING ONLY ONE STEP DOWN FROM MATCH FIXING. TO DATE THE RESPONSE OF THE FOOTBALLING AUTHORITIES TO THIS IS TO DO EVERYTHING TO KEEP RANGERS NEWCO EITHER IN THE TOP LEAGUE OR AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO IT. ONLY IN SCOTLAND.

The football authorities in our case are the SPL. Doncaster makes statements then SPL clubs make statements that don't agree.

Look at the posts I made earlier have any of the changes that Doncaster said would happen , happened ?

The agenda from some clubs is to keep Rangers in the top league or as close to. However its not all clubs.

The people who are trying to bump New Rangers up the league are shouting the loudest at the moment

but it does not mean it will happen.

Doncaster ' we have broad agreement on a ten team SPL' 2011

So if he says ' we have broad agreement on rangers entering SFL1' 2012

Does this make it true he speaks in riddles and how he is still in a job I dont know.
