  1. Toaster is right in terms of the hit that will need to be taken. The loss of the 'bumper' away crowds could be reasonably absorbed but the TV deal renegotiation will hurt and will take a bug chunk out of the playing budget hence why guys like Houston are out saying 'if I lost 600k' I d have nothing left'. That is about 6/7 first teamers for us. However what rangers fans don't get is that we can cut our budgets as all will be in the same boat. Utd have just lost 5 of our highest earners. If need be they simply won't be replaced and we will have a first 11 and our u19s. If that's all we can afford than that is all we ll have. A concept that (even decent) rangers fans seem to not get their heads around.
  2. Sorry - just realised the 'judicial panel' who decided the punishment was different from the independent investigative panel (lord nimmos) although the punishments were obviously based on their findings.
  3. They aren't the names on the SFA website. Published when the enquiry was set up - I also read about them in the media at the time. Think leggatt got into a rage cos one of them had been involved with BT who are apparently part of a lawwells kaflik conspiracy.
  4. Regarding Ally's comments about 'who was on this panel? ' and the veiled threats. The SFA named them and their qualifications at the time they were appointed 21st feb. It took me 1 minute of googling to get that info and it is on the SFA website. The good news is Stewart regan was on the committee along with lord nimmo, Prof Niall Logan (head of chartered accountants body) and Bob downes (head of the EPA.) some pretty heavy hitters in my eyes.
  5. Truly outstanding. The slagging material is absolutely endless. Oh happy day!
  6. It's been far too chaotic to all have been part of a grand plan. It's all looked more like a mixture of desperation, incompetence, smoke and mirrors to me, with a bit of panic on behalf of the authorities thrown in.
  7. It's a fair question. I like to think so and indeed utds debt and year on year losses were pretty scary in the first few years of the millennium. Utd fans have kept a pretty close eye on them since and to be fair the thompsons have been extremely open about the finances, and started addressing the running costs about 6 or 7 years ago. We were lucky they also paid out of their own money for bad managerial appointments.
  8. I don't feel sorry for them. There were no voices raised as Murray racked up 80 million in debt which was public info ( and another 50 mill in unpaid tax fraud). They were too happy lording it over the rest of us and criticising us for not keeping up and giving them a decent competition.
  9. Agree - McCoist is paid at least 500k a year I guess. For that kind of money he should be expected to make hard decisions. I've had to let people go for a lot less! And as to the players showing dignity - its largely been self interest and a blind refusal to accept reality as far as I can see. Plenty of other decimated post admin squads have pulled together better than this shower have on the pitch as well.
