  1. More whataboutary from me - Suella Bravermann's 'law' is/was costing almost £8m a day on providing hotels for migrants, that was last September. Taxpayer pays for it. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-office-suella-braverman-yvette-cooper-rishi-sunak-commons-b2414297.html She's sort of gone, but not forgotten. Just sitting her time-out in the naughty chair before coming back to waste more tax payers money on her own personal political ambitions.
  2. How's this for whataboutary, so far ministers have handed over £140m to the Rwandan Government and have declined to disclose how much in extra costs in both Rwanda and UK on legalities including lengthy court cases. Isn't that paid for by us, the British taxpayer? The £3.44m spent on a referendum pales into insignificance in comparison. The amount spent by the Scottish Government is regarded as a waste now by the opposition because it failed. Same would be rightly said about the whole Rwanda debacle if it fails to get of the ground. The amount spent on this obsession with 'the boats' right in the middle of one of the biggest financial crisis to hit the UK right is just disgusting, maybe the worst ever.

  4. Just the one at the moment since I'm only a Gold Member now, all the others are different posters. You were allowed up to ten alias accounts as a Platinum Member as long as you didn't make an arse of yourself and you let the mods know. You should try it??? get creative, roll play??
  5. Yes, but you are on the wrong thread for that. what you are doing here might just be mistaken for whataboutary. Not much of a point being made either way since nearly all politicians are corrupt, its just which ones are less corrupt than the others.
  6. Calm down now I get overwhelmed with too many questions all at the same time. Rewind - I said I have my doubts the boats would reach that far north - having travelled all the way from France, - because weather, running out of fuel, exhaustion, being seen by another vessel or an aircraft. Then I said ''but you never know'' meaning stranger things have happened. Like a Russian ship parked up in the Moray Firth unchallenged and only 30 miles from RAF Lossiemouth, then decides to take a tour of our offshore windfarms. I wouldn't be surprised given the response time some of the crew came ashore and did some shopping in Buckie and Elgin for a day, all the while carefully avoiding the local Polish and pretending to be Lithuanian.
  7. There should be a lot of attention on the wellingborough by-election on the 15th in the mainstream media as the hyped up Reform UK see this as a golden chance to win a seat. Traditionally a staunch Conservative constituency, Peter Bone whom was removed last year had won at the last GE by taking 62.2% of the vote. The Brexit Party didn't compete here at the last GE for obvious reasons. Once allies now enemies, there will be some real rw populist vs rw populist action incoming, a real litmus test right there in the middle of the Tory heartland. The danger here for the Conservatives is the locals protest voting. Thank goodness situations exactly like that will never happen in Scotland.
  8. Had a look at the website again https://whocanivotefor.co.uk/ppcs/details/?region=Scotland and Reform UK currently up to 17 candidates, = with the Scottish Conservatives and ahead of all other parties except for SNP and Labour. One hell of a gamble with funding, looks like all or nothing. Not sure why they need to do this in Scotland since there is no hint that right-wing popularism will ever take off here like it has done in England.
  9. Did I trick you into replying? I think you've confused yourself. From what you have said so far about the Highlands, you don't stay up here and you have no idea what you are talking about and yes I have seen some folks staring at outboard motors for minutes, usually while sighing and shaking their head in disappointment. Staring at beetroot jars in supermarkets is also a very popular pass time up here.
  10. How does social media help power a small outboard motor, send likes???
  11. I looked and currently they have 15 candidates out of the 57 required for their full hand including one for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross. I have my doubts the boats from France will ever reach that far north, but you never know.
  12. Policies and ideas like promising young football players for small teams/parties getting snatched up by the bigger team/party keeps the same order as they are in the political football league. The bigger political parties tend to be more reactionary and less flexible in behaviour than the smaller ones who can come up with more radical ideas. If these ideas gain traction with big party's target support and media allies then someone from the two main parties is always going to step in and take it for themselves to boost their own standing and ambition within the party. Usually you always know when a politician is a try hard or not. Boris Johnson had been cherry picking green policies and ideas for sometime before becoming PM, had a lot of enthusiasm for swapping out fossil fuels and reducing carbon emissions. Remember when 'leave' was just an idea that had been bouncing around for a few decades being regarded as straight up bat shit crazy even though there were a number of Eurosceptics in the Conservative Party over the years including PM Margaret Thatcher. Wasn't it part of the BNP manifesto originally? Incredible and disturbing at the same time how it gained such traction in a very short period to end up as a 51% vote. Even to contradict the idea of reactionism in the Conservative Party the shift further to the right has been quick in terms of time scale as well, it's quite a radical shift for the Party, biggest shift since the Thatcher years. Are the traditional Tories just ageing out now?
  13. "Daddy?" "Yes, son?" "Wh-wh-wh-wh-what does regret mean?" ''Well son, the funny thing about regret is, It's better to regret something you have done, Than to regret something you haven't done. And by the way, if you see your mom this weekend, Be sure and tell her, SATAN, SATAN, SATAN!!!"
  14. Any guess on how many Conservatives will switch before the next GE? Could be the beginning of the end for Tory domination at the next GE and for the future if the Conservatives really do have their core support split, not just UK but in England. The more voters transition to Reform UK the bigger the advantage Labour will have. Labour could be clear large majority winners at the next GE and going forward the UK could see a Labour government in power for many years to come completely unchallenged, thanks to Reform UK. In Scotland Reform have pledged to (as everywhere else) have a candidate stand for every seat at the next election, it will be interesting to see if this takes root in Scotland after years of Tory failure and the usual one horse race every election. In Scotland I doubt any candidate will come anywhere near the top five for any seat, they will struggle here since we don't seem get a lot of overloaded small boats from France. Its an English problem, why should it concern us?

  16. BE exactly who you want to be, do what you want to do I am he and she is she but you're the only you No one else has got your eyes, can see the things you see It's up to you to change your life and my life's up to me The problems that you suffer from are problems that you make The shit we have to climb through is the shit we choose to take If you don't like the life you live, change it now it's yours Nothing has effect if you don't recognise the cause If the programmes's not the one you want, get up, turn off the set It's only you that can decide what life you're gonna get If you don't like religion you can be the antichrist If your tired of politics you can be an anarchist But no on ever changed the church by pulling down the steeple And you'll never change the system by bombing number ten Systems just aren't made of bricks they're mostly made of people You may send then into hiding, but they'll be back again If you don't like the rules they make, refuse to play their game If you don't want to be a number, don't give them your name If you don't want to be caught out, refuse to hear their question Silence is a virtue, use it for your own protection They'll try to make you play their game, refuse to show your face Be exactly who you want to be, do what you want to do I am he and she is she but you're the only you.

  20. Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy Because I'm easy come, easy go, little high, little low Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to me, to me Now you can't get on with your evening until you have completed the whole song sung in your head.
