  1. What’s the story with the development/reserve leagues this year? Some sort of restructure or am I imagining reading that?
  2. Another thing I noticed on Saturday, McKernon had a right go at McLauchlan in the first half, which I see as a positive. Someone stepping up and demanding more on the field. We saw little of that last season.
  3. Gibby was good, but thought McGrory was excellent as well and would have been my MOTM. Osadolor looks like he could cause problems with his pace and could be a really useful out ball, Roberts looks like he can produce, and Hart looks solid. I expect a huge onus on keeping shape on Tuesday night.
  4. Just the four rape/race hate apologists swarming this thread, today. There would be no need for me to comment, otherwise.
  5. Decent enough today. Knocked it around nicely and an absolute belter of a winner. A few wee ropey moments at the back, but pleasing enough. Next two games will be massive challenges. In terms of our future, there’s not a single QP fan who values the opinion of fans of a club that harbours racists and rapists, so not really worth wasting the data on your phone by contributing.
  6. Would rather we played in a five-a-side league than sign a rapist tbh.
  7. You’ve just pulled the 10million out of your arse for some unknown reason. Nobody at the club wants millions upon millions. A decent deal for Queen’s Park is a reasonable amount to keep afloat over a transition period and somewhere to play. £2million for a piece of land worth significantly more, and Queen’s Park having nowhere to play does not offer that. Would anyone in Scottish football see Queen’s Park selling Hampden on the cheap and having some money to tide over, being allowed to play at Lesser Hampden, and keeping a social club on site, as a bad deal? It’s not even necessarily the absolute Tam from Still Game offer that actually bothers me most, it’s the apparent reluctance to move on Lesser Hampden. If the club is forced to move outside of the Southside of Glasgow, it’s a slow death. If it’s saddled with the debt, it’s a significantly quicker one. The deal done on Hampden was totally short sighted and we dug a hole for ourselves, everyone knows and accepts this. I think every realistic fan probably realises that the way the club is run will have to change, regardless of what happens. We cannot be an anomaly forever. However, as much as you do disagree, the offers, deadline threats and general attitude of the SFA have amounted to little less than blackmail of a member club. Take the peanuts, somehow find yourselves a home with those peanuts, or die.
  8. Housing developers would pay more. Substantially more, actually. For example, St Mirren Park, on a much smaller footprint, was sold for £15million. Nobody realistic would ask for anything approaching market value, but would expect a fair deal. A deal which involves the SFA taking over Hampden and Queen’s Park playing at Lesser Hampden with some financial security should be eminently achievable and reasonable. A national association is in the process of potentially bullying and blackmailing a member club out of existence for its own financial gain. Folk can paint it any way they want, but that’s what’s happening here.
  9. Is it blackmail when the national association offers substantially under market value, knowing that the future of the club is at stake? Yes, it is. Does Scottish football owe any club anything? No. Is it right and proper that Queen’s Park, or indeed any other organisation, is given a fair deal for a valuable asset? Yes, it is. Now, f**k off.
  10. Nothing seems to have greatly changed other than the fact we now have a solid timescale for our shafting. Take a deal that blackmails the football club and doesn’t give us any guarantees in the long term, or do we call their bluff and throw the immediate future of the club into question if they aren’t bluffing? f**k the SFA, incidentally.
  11. Encouraging stuff. Knocked it around nicely and looked solid, aside from the goal. Absolutely nothing between the teams.
  12. Less worried about the trapdoor than I was. Hart, by all accounts, and McKernon are great League Two signings. We know Osadolor and Peters have shown flashes. The guys from last season should be plenty good enough for the level as well, with the possibility of some of the younger players kicking on. Hopefully we can win a watch with a couple of the juniors as well. I think Peterhead and KKKlyde, as much is it pains me, will have too much for the rest. However, I’m hoping we can fight it out with the rest, which certainly won’t be easy.
  13. Assumed this would be closed doors. Any other friendlies in the pipeline?
  14. Point of order. Clyde are not a Glaswegian club.
  15. It’s the same as anything. If you’re a runner/cyclist etc. you’ll know how it feels to go back to it after a few weeks/months off. You can’t quite get up those hills that you can when you’re fully fit. Now, imagine trying to battle against a pro when you’re at that level. I suspect more part-time players have been “enjoying” their time off as well more than the professionals as well, as they’ve every right to. Put it this way, can anyone look back on any friendly and think it was in any way crucial to our performances during a season? All about building fitness and actually finding out who might be good enough. Obviously want to win any game, but I can’t get worked up about friendlies at all. Even a defeat against Cumbernauld Colts wouldn’t irk me. Real stuff starts at Peterhead, which is the toughest start we could ask for.
  16. Pre-season and early League Cup results mean nothing in a wider context. We were being pumped by all sorts of obscure teams in the pre-season the year we won the league. We also drew at Morton, a game we should have won, last season and got relegated.
  17. Miller get a kick for them? Any other opposition lined up for Thursday?
  18. Possibly one of the most under appreciated players of recent times. A real shame that he’s suffered so much with injury. Hopefully he gets a crack at a full season in the team. Thought Big Gerry looked like he could do a job as well. Neither player is Paolo Maldini, but they seem to know where they need to be for the most part and will throw themselves in front of anything.
  19. Nowhere near Premiership level. Nowhere near Championship level, actually. A good lower league player on his day, which wasn’t too often last season. Still, good luck to him and whoever his magician of an agent is. No problem seeing anyone moving onto bigger things.
  20. Who are the Tuesday opponents? Dumbarton pencilled in for Thursday.
  21. If the Bryan Wharton of his first season at QP has signed for Rovers, you’ve won a watch. If the Bryan Wharton beyond that point has signed for you, you have not won a watch. He has a tendency to absolutely cruise it and then throw in a horror show that causes a goal. An honest player, who’ll give you a shift. Major issue with concentration. He could either be your POTY or cost you a damaging number of points. I wish him well, aside from the four games against QP.
  22. You may find the ignore function quite useful for this racist piece of shit. That’s what I’ve opted for.
