You would assume Baccus playing all those World Cup games would make him a multi-million pound player. Surprised he’s not….

It's funny how defensive fans become of their plastic pitch.
Regardless of who the clubs are ..........I don't like watching games on an artificial surface.
It feels like a bad cover version of the sport.

Gutted at the result today but can’t believe how well Robbo has us playing, we are well drilled and have genuine pace in the side. It feels great to watch us and actually be entertained

Looks like it hits his bicep, be interesting to see if it’s considered t shirt line?

Behave. They’re a very well drilled team. Aye they lack real quality at times but it’s not an accident they are totally in control.
I assumed it was an attempt at trolling but he might actually be that stupid.

Hibs away in the cup.
Could have been worse.
Yeah there wasn’t an easy draw so Hibs away will do.

Attendance at football games is not compulsory and everyone will have their own reasons to pick and chose which games to go to but I was genuinely surprised by the size of the home crowd yesterday.
Games against Motherwell are generally close and often exciting. We are off to a brilliant start in the league and are playing some great football. Tickets cost less than the equivalent league game. This is one of our two chances of winning a trophy this season. The weather was nowhere bad as forecast. Yet still there were loads of gaps in the home stands.
i haven’t lived in Paisley for years so maybe there was another event going on in the town I’m not aware of.
5241 is hardly a small crowd, especially when you consider it was a cup game and the cost of attendance.

Great start to the season for you guys. I know there has been a bit of back and forth behind the scenes with the board/fans/sponsor etc however over the last few years (probably 5) St Mirren have done a great job of just gradually improving themselves as a club. It’s early days but probably favourite for the final top 6 spot assuming that Aberdeen and the Edinburgh clubs are top 5.
Thank you however unfortunately St Mirren have found a way to kick us in the collective stones over the years so anything is possible

Anyone know why the Motherwell cup game isn’t being shown on St Mirren TV? It’s saying audio only but the group games were live so not sure what changed.

We need goal line technology, it’s ridiculous that we introduced VAR before technology that is the most conclusive.

CBM has a bit of the Charlie Adam about him, very clever, very skillful with great delivery but needs an energetic player with him.

Just a pity it wasn’t more significant. The melt down would have been priceless.
Anyway when you see it properly it will be obvious Shaughnessy gets his toe to it in plenty of time.0 -
Looking forward to seeing screenshots of the one cleared by Dundee, from the replays I saw it absolutely looked over the line.

Not gonna get involved too much with the mudslinging either way.
We certainly will be the whipping boys of the league if we put in many more of those first half performances. Second half was much improved whether that was down to us switching to a back 4 or St Mirren developing a complacency issue as further evidenced by last week as well is neither here nor there, the fact is, we looked the better side but still worryingly couldn't create too much.
I think if we get a suitable midfielder in to pair off with Boateng, switch to a back 4 and bring in another attacking option instead of resorting to Zak Rudden then we will certainly have a fairly decent shout of staying up what with the likes of Portales and French hopefully being back soon to strengthen our back line. I mean, playing Ashcroft as a LCB that has to cover for a marauding attacking wing back that isn't very good defensively in Beck is tactical suicide. Really liking Shaughnessy but his long throw seems to be another Liam Fontaine situation in that it's got more hype than it deserves - it's certainly nothing special but cracking defender nonetheless.
As for St Mirren, very pacy team and good on the counterattack. Was particularly impressed by McMenamin. Thought he gave Beck an absolute torrid time that he hopefully learns from. Mandron was better than his terrible reputation suggests and won a fair few battles against our very imposing aerial CH in Ashcroft which is a feat (even if Ashcroft is altogether rubbish otherwise). Wish we'd troubled Hemming a bit more as he did look a bit shaky at times although had a couple of excellent takes near the end.
Result was about fair. Could have easily went in at the break a couple of more goals down and whilst I thought we were the better team second half, I think St Mirren did more than enough in the first that it probably should have been done by then which ultimately it was.
All the best until the next binfire thread between us lads.
Well balanced objective post.

Sevco lite get a soft penalty and VAR doesn’t give their opponent a goal despite the ball being clearly over the line…………………..and they still lost

Lucky 3 points for the Midden in the end. Obviously big Shug cleared the ball before it crossed the line.
Thought 2 nil flattered them in the first half and we just couldn’t get the equaliser after dominating the second half.
On we go.1 -
That ball looked over the line on the replay.

It was a pair of running shoes and a good turn of pace you needed outside Easter Road back in the day, not a balaclava.
Late 80’s I remember having to jump a wall and run across a bowling green to get away from them

I don't see Robbo being interested in the Hibs job at this time. Window shut and stuck with someone else's squad at a club that shows little patience with managers and seems to give less input than he gets in Paisley.
