  1. Yes they have. Look at the attendance figures given by Scottish clubs before electronic turnstiles..It was going on for years and years.

Desperate clutching at straws! With every passing day there are more and more disgraceful allegations. I always thought that The Club formerly known as Rangers would slither off the hook with a mixture of bullying and intimidation. I now believe that the only way forward is for the Newco to go to the 3rd Division as a new club, with no connection to the past. If they hang on to the history of RFC, then they should be expelled as the ghost of RFC. Either way 3rd division diddy team it is.

What are you and Kincardine going to do? Will you follow this new club?

  2. They should have to apply to get into the SFL like any other new club should.

True, but in the euphoria remember there are many ordinary Rangers fans who can't believe whats happened to them. Thousands have poured their hard earned into their club over decades and are only now waking up to the fact that they have been conned by successive owners. I genuinely pity them, not their club!

  3. I am delighted to have been proved wrong by HMRC.

A question for No8. I presume that you received your season ticket renewal letter yesterday or today? What were D&P thinking of? This is even by their standards extraordinary! They must have had an idea that this was going to happen. Was this just another attempt to fleece the gullible? What advice have you been given? I am not trying to wind you up and take no pleasure in your predicament. I work with a few Rangers fans who were irate today when they got their letters!

  4. Are they dead yet?

No and they aren't going to! As we all know they will have their CVA accepted on Thursday. Then, they will argue that although not out of administration til the 12th of July, they will start hoovering up players. Meanwhile the fight with the SPL/SFA will continue and they will receive a suspended sentence. The EBT will be Not Proven and back they'll come, even more obnoxious than before! No8 and his ilk will be even more unbearable than they are now!

  5. Such a bitter post. It's hard to logicallty debate with folk at times.

They lost no players because the players took pay cuts. :D Quite simple, to be honest.

As I said above, my understanding is that the CVA won't go through. I'd be surprised.

For going into administration - the club was punished 10 points (according to the rules). Also, banned from European football for not filing accounts on time.

For non-payment of PAYE, the club has been fined and I would suspect kicked out of the Scottish Cup. The transfer embargo wasn't even a valid punishment.

What more do you want? Kick Rangers out of Scottish Football - because that's what I suspect you are getting at.

I can't disagree with anything you say, other than your belief that I want them kicked out. I don't! What I want is ANYONE connected with Rangers to publicly acknowledge that there has been wrongdoing on a grand scale for years and that as a result, the club deserves to be punished in a footballing sense. A little humility. Instead for 16 weeks, there have been veiled threats against other clubs, the SFA, the SPL etc. I want them to accept liability for cheating their fellow professionals last season. I also want them to publicly apologise to their own staff, for not paying PAYE! Is that too much to ask?

  6. The CVA is a shocker. I'd be genuinely surprised if it went through.

There are still 3 or 4 investors waiting for this CVA to fall on its arse.

So what happens then? Surely, the administrators have a duty to get the best for the creditors ... i.e Green's agreement is humped?

I was told by a lawyer last night that Green's £5m agreement wouldn't stand up in court.

The problem is that there is no evidence that they will get anything at all if Rangers fold. It appears that Ticketus have agreed it and will take their chance in court against Whyte or his lawyers. It will only fail if HMRC knock it back, but they have no shown no inclination that they will. It will be grudgingly accepted and all the small debtors and football clubs will be shafted.

  7. I think that the longer goes without a decision the better, there is a growing impetus to the "kick em oot" camp.

The longer this drags on the more likely that they will survive with light punishments. We are now 16 weeks into this shambles and what has happened? They have lost no players as yet. They have survived a possible transfer embargo. The CVA looks like it will be accepted. Throughout this so-called administration, they have been able to keep everyone at the club and are still paying out more per week than any other side outwith their cousins. I suspect that once the CVA is agreed, they will be kicked out the cup for a year for financial irregularities. As far as the duel contracts are concerned, the fixtures will have been published, so the SFA/SPL will decide on a suspended sentence. In all, they will have received a 10 point deduction last season, no Scottish Cup next season. The enforced free Saturday in January they will line up some glamour friendly to rake in the cash. I said when the transfer embargo was overturned that it was the day Scottish football died, and nothing that has happened since has changed my view. I now firmly believe that they will be back in the SPL next season, with NO points deduction, NO transfer ban and NO meaningful sanctions. Lets not forget, they will be debt free and back in a STRONGER position than at any time since SDM took over all those years ago! Remember also that the European ban is only for next season. All in all, it looks like Whyte/H&D/Green have played a blinder, as they rightly gambled on the spineless ineptitude of the suits in Scottish football. Sad, pathetic but oh so predictable!

  8. Couple of things struck me today.

    1. Why would Ticketus go for this CVA? Would they not consider buying Ibrox and renting it back to them at say £3million a year. Not only get all their money back but make a huge profit at Rangers expense!

    2. The players who can bail out for a song. Why would anyone not be mortified to be associated with an incidious odious organisation hell bent on destroying everything in their path? Have these players no sense of public shame? If even some of them showed their contempt for their employers by publicly demanding away, I for one would applaud them loudly. They can't all be knuckledraggers at heart.

  9. Technically, the players on EBTs were all 'ineligible' and the investigation(s) are still ongoing for them. Needless to say, more punishments are en route for these double contracts. Very serious breaches with perhaps only match fixing more serious (a la SFA recent statement). I can't see a way out for Rangers, but the more they dig the more muck is thrown out.

This may be technically correct, but remember Rangers were ordered by The SFA/SPL to produce all documents relating to EBTs by early April. The dynamic duo ignored them. Only after the BBC documentary did The authorities then put a deadline on receipt of these. NOTHING will happen as there will be no inciminating evidence left to see.

  10. This day will go down in history as the day Scottish football died.

    1. A ludicrous CVA which will be accepted by all, resulting in Rangers returning debt free in the new season

    2. SFA being shown as incompetent, which will lead to the original 100K fine, which wont be paid, as they were in Administration when it was imposed.

    3. SPL chairmen welcoming them back with open legs tomorrow.

I hate to agree with the other shower in Glasgows East End, but their paranoia and conspiracy theories now seem to be justified.

Just close the game down now.

    Sad sad sad :death

  11. Why are Rang*rs fans so in love with Kennedy? He was clearly raging in that interview with Mr Exclusive on SSN. He is a self confessed Hibee, so what is his game? He is allegedly worth 600 million but is only prepared to be involved up to about half what The American was offering. He comes across as a self publicist with absolutely no intention of buying them. But the orcs are hanging off his every word. It is now beyond farce and even the comic value is wearing off. By the way, Danny Lennon, you have dropped considerably in my estimation, if those comments are accurate.
