Ok I'm trying to get my head around this. So if I set up a company called 'Woolworths' using the same logo etc selling the same stuff that makes it a phoenix company if I was a director of the previous Woolworths. But if I was never a director of Woolworths it would not be a phoenix company. If that is the case the law sucks major style and it's given me an idea

Thanks for clarifying that and destroying my hopes for their destruction via that route just have to wait on them imploding for other reasons Mind you if they came back minus the baggage, well maybe the bampots that support my team will feck off as well and we become a football team without the political and religious baggage as well (I have a dream!)

Cheer up if have their history they are effectivly a pheonix company and HMRC get very shirty with these, so expect the newco (with the history and honours to get a visit from Hector) Bonanza for lawyers, laffs for us and torment for the orcs. Edited for clarity- there are exceptions in company law to a phoenix situation but as the oldco are not a going concern, I don't think it applies to the newco. Can any company lawyers out there confirm?

What will happen there then if Scotland gets independence? I've no doubt it will remain flying but the argument from Rangers fans is always "it's our national flag". I wonder how they'd explain it then. It'll be worth voting Yes just to see their wee faces screw up trying to work it out and watch their heads explode as the logic bomb goes off or they'll just say 'we're celebrating our british heritage'

Both of you had different upbringings, that's how it goes. In my own situation I was aware from an early age 'cos my mum remarried a orangeman. which is ironic (i think) as her first husband was a catholic. I used to wonder why my pals in the scheme went to a different school. Until I was telt they 'wur papes'. That probably explains why I ended up supporting Celtic to piss off my stepdad and go the games with my pals. I was aware of the troubles partly because my uncles were posted there. Funnily enough I never heard any sectarian shite from them. Rikki Fulton was funny but Boney M were shite and The Clash first album is still a favorite from that time. So let's get back to Sevco or we'll end up like the Yorkshire Men sketch.
