  1. I don’t think it’s outlandish to suggest that if you’re to move up a division, some of the players that got you out of League One won’t necessarily make the cut a level above. It’s sad, but I don’t think it constitutes having a go at anyone, it’s just the nature of the game.
  2. Club Statement regarding disorder outside the stadium after Saturday evening’s match with The New Saints. https://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/2024/02/05/club-statement-27/
  3. Only around for just over 20 years, so makes sense to try and manufacture rivalries, to be fair. Cute, if not slightly tedious.
  4. Anyway I’ll be angry for about 30 mins then grand. Let’s win the league now eh
  5. The fact McGlynn didn’t have a clue how to change that at all is the biggest concern for me, rather than if we won or lost, Diddy Cup or not. *If* we are to go up, we’d face many more games like this. With McGlynn when it works it’s absolutely fantastic, but if not, you’re in trouble. Other managers change shape throughout games when it’s evident it’s not working; he stood there seeing it wasn’t working, waited until 70 mins to make the subs and kept the same shape. It might not cost us this season but is a concern going forward imo.
  6. That was reminiscent of last season. McGlynn completely outthought and no idea how to change it. If Plan A doesn’t work, he’s toiling. If you’re gonna give out the amount of praise as we have this season, have to give out criticism too. They made us look very, very ordinary. A reality check.
  7. Up there with our worst half of the season that. Pretty brutal stuff. Much better second half required.
  8. My 3pm loyalties today lie with Big Marv and his ragtag team of Tory journeyman. Go on, do us a turn!
  9. Only downside if we were to win tomorrow is having to deal with those Union flag waving, fascist weirdos on here in the lead up to the final.
  10. Time to pump these farmers on our way to another Challenge Cup I think!!
  11. Was expecting Club Supremo Strain to unveil him with red and white hoops?
  12. I feel it's inevitable we'd have to strengthen if we were to go up into the Championship - as sad as it may be, some players inevitably only play one part of the journey. Just because they're perhaps good enough to get us into the Championship doesn't mean they're good enough to play for us there. But let's cross that bridge if and when we come to it - it's very much a future problem. This squad as it is still have a job to do over the next 14 league games and we need to get behind them in every single one.
  13. I don’t see how letting Morrison go now would make any sense, both in terms of balance of the team or financially. Unless he’s made it clear he wants to go in January and would down tools if he wasn’t allowed to - but I don’t see that being the situation at all. Hopefully all talk.
  14. Only takes him two seconds (literally) when answering the first question to reference how big a club we are x
  15. Rapid, but very weak and dropped out of games frequently, although he was being managed by Martin Rennie and Kenny Miller so that has to be taken into account. Started very promisingly for us but quickly faded away and really hasn't kicked on since; pretty sure Morton ditched him halfway through a season-long loan spell and didn't really kick a ball for Queens either. He also couldn't get a game for an absolutely humming Cork team that got relegated last year. He's still young enough to turn it around and I could actually see him doing well in League Two based on pace alone, but he's really getting to the stage where he has to have a decent spell at a club if he's going to have any kind of career, professionally at least.
  16. One quick look at Linfield's line-up and the poor man will be traumatised from memories of playing in a team with Ben Hall at centre-half.
  17. Not having a ‘shared’ final being totted up as a win. In the bin.
  18. I'm bored; here's my thoughts on some of them: Stokes linking up with Latapy and Gow over that six month period was truly something special. Some of my favourite memories watching Falkirk during that time; a team playing attacking football in the SPL, going to toe-to-toe with the Old Firm and the Edinburgh clubs. When you look back at seasons like that, it really does show how far we've fallen since. Farid - almost by himself - re-established a bond between the fans and the club that had been lost since arguably Yogi's last season; that season petered out unfortunately, but he was a real fan favourite the year he was here. It was clear to see Lyle Taylor was a natural finisher and he arguably carried what was an incredibly young side to 3rd that season. However, he was also the complete opposite to Farid; an absolute bellend, and in recent years has outed himself as a massive Tory. Also missed a sitter to make it 4-0 vs Hibs, so I can't in all conscience remember him that fondly. Rory Loy was a funny one; an underwhelming signing at the time, but quickly endeared himself by just how hard he worked. Always talks fondly about Falkirk to this day. John Baird was brilliant and a player I always hoped we'd sign when he was at Raith. Arguably stayed a season too long. I often think it's overlooked what an achievement it was for 18 year old Zak Rudden to get 12 league goals in his first season in professional football in the Championship. That team he played in was dug meat. Would likely have been down earlier if it wasn't for him. Was just here to score fucking goals and worked his arse off too.
  19. Aye I'm no gonna lie, the dig is funny but the FFCTV highlights have been jerky to the point of being unwatchable for weeks. Alloa's are far superior quality wise. I'm not in the interest of slagging off volunteers either cause that's just shite patter, but as others have mentioned it is probably something we should look into improving.
  20. Even the slightest bit of Googling will quickly tell you that TNS embody a huge amount that is wrong with modern football and for that reason (along with wanting to maintain our record as the Challenge Cup’s most successful ever side x) I hope we pump them rotten.
