People- the above are First World problems. Staring down the barrel of an LL play-off is worthy of concern way beyond what day of the week to go to Peterhead. 🤢

Nah, Clyde are safe. Stranraer won't win and even if they do, a point at Elgin is easy-peasy.

I don't think it matters. The travelling is more of an issue for us than it is for Peterhead whether it's a Tuesday or a Saturday, and given how shite we've been up there on a Saturday I'm not sure it'll matter too much. We could give ourselves a real boost going into the play offs with a win against Peterhead on Saturday so I hope we do that and finish 2nd if I'm honest.

Big difference going there on a Saturday versus a Tuesday, though. Players might have had to work Tuesday morning and then make a long journey North, which really isn't ideal.

The only team with the away leg 1st is the team finishing 2nd, 3rd and 4th will play their ties at home 1st (also in the final, if they get there)

Agreed on Annan, I'd rather face Stirling.

Yep, so ideally I'd rather we don't finish 2nd, which I didn't make clear!

  4. I reckon it'll finish in the order it's currently in. I don't see us winning at Peterhead and while Spartans might win at East Fife, I'd think a home win/draw is more likely. What I'd like to avoid is having the away leg first (i.e. finishing 2nd) and Annan being the L1 team.

  5. I do think it’s quite poor that the club never tweet any acknowledgement/apology when there’s problems with the stream. In fairness, the streams have been pretty good for a while now, since the days there always seemed to be a problem, and I actually can’t remember the last time there was an issue (other than Spartans where they just didn’t do one despite saying they would). Granted it was a meaningless game today, so I doubt anyone really cared, but it’s poor not to at least acknowledge it on Twitter.

Looking at the fixtures and the table, I wouldn’t be surprised if QOTS ended up in the playoffs.

That would be the worst outcome IMO. Farrell would see a full-time side and raise the white flag. However, unless Annan get something off Falkirk, it's impossible for QoS to end up 9th (barring a huge GD swing) as Stirling and Annan play each other on the last day.

Might even be better being fourth and playing a Stirling side who are in poor form

There's lots of permutations, but I really hope Annan don't finish 9th. They've been in great form, but have Falkirk next. Whereas Stirling have Edinburgh City, before a winner takes all clash on the last day with Annan.

There's currently only two points between Peterhead, us and Spartans. Who knows what positions we'll all be in come a week on Saturday. But I'd agree that if it's Peterhead we face in the semi, then the away leg would be preferable on the Saturday from a fan and player perspective.

Guess we just have to try and win both games left and not overthink it. I definitely would heavily rotate for the Peterhead game, though.

  9. Would it be fair to say we'd rather finish third than second? I think so. Midweek away at Peterhead sounds much less preferable. I know generally having the second leg at home is seen as an advantage, but it hasn't exactly been great for us the last two seasons. Long trip like that on a Tuesday night when the players have probably been at work the same day isn't what I'd pick.

I'm with David W here, keep the foot down and go into the play offs winning these last 3 games

That’ll be fine if we avoid any injuries and suspensions. Either way is a bit of a gamble, I guess. Risk losing momentum or risk picking up injuries/suspensions.
