  1. The only thing I can think is he assumes it’s going over? Which is a wild assumption.
  2. If I spotted you correctly in East Fife's highlights, that's an excellent looking beard.
  3. Problem is, A.Hosie knows the strength of feeling and concern from the fanbase about his ownership and you'd better believe the guy will exploit it all the way. He also clearly, like Neil MacKay has nothing but contempt for the fanbase. Expect a nice hefty 'sentiment' premium baked into any offer he's willing to accept from a fan-led bid.
  4. Don't worry, I'm sure he's paying the club a really generous fee for it and there's nothing underhand or dodgy going on at all.
  5. Obviously the form table is pretty tight, but we’re objectively one of the worst sides in the league at the moment. Combine it with the ascendency of East Fife and Forfar and you can probably guess where we’re finishing. Plus, that Peterhead form really makes me think East Fife will get something up there on Saturday. Good thing I haven't booked that playoff travel yet. Might have to delete the annual leave from the calendar...
  6. Could probably have a whole other thread on this topic, but it's wild to me that you can drink as much as you want during half-time at Chelsea vs Spurs, but you can't have a beer at half-time at Dumbarton vs Stranraer. Maybe it's the Scottish law that has it the right way round, and as you say there are good reasons, but it feels like Scottish football fans are often just tarred with the same brush as the OF. Especially given the double standards in how much rope the rugby is given. I don't really drink very much anymore, so it doesn't really bother me either way tbh.
  7. I think the guy who attempts to flick the ball in for their second could be offside. Inconclusive from that angle, but it's why Hogarth doesn't save it, anyway. Actually, I'd say's he's probably on based on the angle from behind the goal. Looks like T.Wallace plays him on. Honestly, what is Hogarth doing for the third... East Fife were worth their win tbh. Not an exaggeration to say they could've very conceivably scored 6/7, based on the chances created. We only played well after they should've been 3-0 up inside 15 mins until they equalised for 2-2. Oh, and make sure you adjust your volume downwards before watching these!
  8. Dreadful from Malcolm for the first. Hogarth should possibly do better, too? Hmm maybe that's harsh on Hogarth, actually.
  9. That’s what I thought, but he’s still there on Companies House. Not that the club is ever quick to update that, so you’re probably right. I wondered if maybe the confusion was that he’d resigned from the CC board, but not DFC.
  10. Yep, I remember, but I think it cut out quite early on. Think maybe Farrell came and spoke IIRC/things were discussed people didn’t want recorded, which is fair.
  11. Will it be live streamed again for those of us members further afield?
  12. Isn’t there technically 5 board members? At least according to Companies House. I guess Henning and Paul Mc are directors only in name and to grab some free sponsorship.
  13. You’re also allowed to booze on the terrace at level 6 of England, which undoubtedly helps crowds/revenues. I know some folk were in two minds about whether it would’ve been good for Dulwich to go up to the national league a few years ago, as the boozing rule changes. My English pals are always amazed how parochial the alcohol laws are up in Scotland. You’re allowed to drink in the concourse at any level in England, just not bring it into the stand.
  14. Absolutely this. He may well go on to play at an even higher level than L2, but right now it’s a level beyond him and we are not in a position to carry him for his own development.
  15. One of my tweets got bookmarked and Twitter doesn’t let you see who did it. Maybe Neil’s building up a body of evidence against me to get me a lifetime ban
  16. The overall one is quite interesting, too. Shows a very nice downward trendline from GW5 onwards. Obviously the deeper you go into the season, the less impact a single result has on the overall average and you'd expect the blue line to flatten. Quite impressive that we've managed to get worse and worse.
  17. It really tells you a lot about the reality of our situation that yesterday even was such a high pressure game. A team that’s 9 points clear shouldn’t be sweating that their whole season is about to crumble if we lose and it goes to 6… Yet, you can tell that’s exactly the case, from everyone’s reaction from the fans to the manager. The only reason we’ve been so comfortably in the playoffs for most of the season is because East Fife and Forfar (two pre-season title favourites) have been so far below where they should’ve been. We’ve been on relegation form since the Stenny defeat in September, barely averaging a point per game (1.067 PPG* over 15 games, just shy of half a season, and the equivalent of 38 points over a season). All it was going to take was one side below us to put together a semi-decent run of form. *by comparison, East Fife have averaged 1.533 PPG over that same 15 game period. If both sides continue to average that form over the next 8 games, we’d finish 2 points ahead. However, if you look at their PPG since Dick Campbell came in, they’re at 2.2 PPG, which would have them finishing 3-4 points ahead of us, if we continue our 15 game average. TL;DR: DFC trend line is massively downwards, EFFC trend line is somewhat upwards.
  18. Next few games are going to really turn the heat on. Peterhead won yesterday, but I reckon East Fife are capable of going there and getting at least a point. Then they’ve got Stranraer and Elgin at home, which is a very good chance for 6 points. I don’t see us taking anything at Spartans next week, and Bonnyrigg and Stenny on our cow field will be a slog.
  19. We're also making a habbit of conceding early. Conceding late has been a problem all season. We'd be 8 points better off if games ended after 80 mins.
  20. An interesting stat here: every season of Stevie Farrell’s (this being season 7) SPFL management career, his sides have finished in successively lower positions every season*. A feat that is on course to be repeated this season. *In Faz's defence (kinda), you are obviously guaranteed another lower finish once you're relegated, regardless of how well you do the following season. Two of those seasons were relegation seasons. Actually, not sure I've put up a very good defence at all...
  21. Baffling decisions. Him and the East Fife commentator should start a circus.
  22. I’m still trying to figure out what this guy thinks he read. Maybe when Ruth missed the sitter at the end against Forfar? Or he’s just totally confused him with another player?
