  1. he's getting to that age (just turned 7) he's now taking an interest in football, and the problem is he has grown up with a rangers fan and a celtic fan as parents poor bugger.. certainly there was no danger i was exposing him to the crap that gets flung around either of their grounds, With my recent unhappiness at the way my club has behaved I think the time might be here to try and tempt him with a diddy team™ absolutely gutting but this is one rangers fan walking away - from bigotry cheating and the tripe attached to my club firhill is just up the road, might have to try and persuade him
  2. gordon smith on ssn spouting keek talking about how the rangurs would be a great addition to the first division. ffs when will these idiots realise you cant just waltz a new team into div 1. bunch of apologist arseholes i've had enough someone suggest another glasgow/west scotland team for me to take my boy to go watch

  4. ruddy hell this is getting a tad confusing now. just wish all these chancers would bugger off and stop trying to rip whats left of my club to pieces. stick us in the third and let us get on with rebuilding into a fit and proper club
  5. hmm maybe there is some element of truth to it.(the move to England nonsense) hypothetical question for all the P&Bers if Bury were to buy Ibrox from sevco would they be allowed to play their home games in Glasgow? after all its nothing more than obtaining a new stadium and relocating. albeit by a few hundred miles. if they are allowed to do that then they could easily change the strip and name at a later date. something similar to how sevco are calling themselves "the Rangers"
  6. Cousy rumoured to have walked away( resigned) Can't say I blame him tbh but if it's true he won't be the last one
  7. lol hearts are next on the list methinks. dodgy owner - check oodles of debt- check bigoted pish from certain sections of the crowd- check pish poor in europe- check hell I could just trundle along the m8 and it would a home from home
  8. Enrico Annoni, have a greeny just for the lovely diddys in your avatar cheered me right up on this sad day.
  9. I honestly don't care how many times people try and tell me that it isn't true. Rangers will die on Thursday or whenever the heck we get liquidated. whatever comes after is just a poor fascimile
  10. we're not all ra peepul chanting halfwits you know, Yes I love my team with a passion but i'm not blinkered to the problems my team has/had the sectarian nonsense the superiority complex and the chip the size of the rock of Gibralter on many fans shoulders means Rangers are a much unfancied institution. as for todays events and what will happen on Thursday, its deserved justice as much as it pains me to see it happen. but I honestly don't think the worst of the troubles are over. I imagine that greens newco is going to be a complete farce and this is only the start of some seriously bad times for Rangers fans. To be honest if we're playing football at all come august be it division three or not i'd count that as a blessing.
  11. Rangers just seems to be a magnet for dodgy chancers and crooks atm and money getting put in Greens pocket would not surprise me one iota. I honestly think theres a lot more going on behind the scenes than anyone on here or in the media is privvy too and none of it will be good for Rangers or the scottish game. Wonder how much Desmond is paying Haudit and Daudit :) as they certainly are not acting in the interests of the creditors as they should be or even in the interest of Rangers .
  12. hardly the travelling fans will only be a small part of any loss to clubs revenue, the biggest part will be in terms of reduced TV money. People can bury their head in the sand all they like, if Rangers do not play in the spl then other clubs are going to be loosing money, and in the current state of Scottish football theres not many clubs that wont feel the pinch. its a catch 22 situation, Punish Rangers as they deserve and other clubs will suffer. The only fair solution would be a hefty punishment not involving demotion or removal from the league.
  13. 10092 at home to Rangers on the 21st August and 10440 at home to Celtic on the 6th November HTH
  14. Ok then perhaps not a full house but grabbing some random stats show that for example Motherwell would pull in approx 2000 more fans for a home Game vs Rangers or Celtic than other SPL teams So whilst I admit i'm a fair bit off with saying 2 full houses, It certainly is 2 bumper crowds
  15. Hardly a myth, Take Motherwell as a prime example, Expenditure on wages £1.8million a season, TV income north of a million. Doesnt take a genius to figure out that if you find yourself with a 7 figure black hole in your budget for the season your going to find yourself in difficulty. A majority of SPL clubs are scraping by atm. And yes the argument is there that clubs would be fine, every single SPL club will notice the loss of the current TV deal as well as 2 full houses at home a season. I can honestly see Celtic looking to carve out their own TV deal if Rangers were no longer involved in the SPL by whatever means. and tbh i wouldnt blame them one bit, this would leave the other 11 clubs offering a tv deal that is neither desirable or to be fair worth very much. Squads would have to be decimated costs cut and generally bad things would happen to clubs in terms of funding. I've seen the arguments that attendances would rise at some clubs due to their being more to play for (second CL spot) but very few chairmen would be willing to gamble on that. most willl be happy with the status quo, and a guaranteed figure on the balance sheet I think the most likely outcome in all of this is that the 11 clubs will vote to keep my cheating mob in the SPL but impose heavy sanctions on them, although the court threat from Livi could be an interesting spanner in the works
  16. Well after spending the last few weeks thoroughly amused by this thread, I thought it about time I signed up and said my piece. Yes i'm one of those rare things in this thread a Rangers fan, no not one of the knuckle dragging orcs that demand the big hoose be saved etc etc but someone with a modicum of sense. Personally speaking I would prefer to see us put down to Div 3. I think it would be a great thing for the club long term, We would be shot of all the high earning under achievers which have gotten us into our current state and we could go back to the best part of football. Developing your own players. it pains me to see the number of talented youngsters who have came through the Rangers youth system in the last few years only to find themselves released, or rotting away without playing time. A drop down the leagues would be a great excuse to go with a Home grown team, I see no reason why the youth at ibrox could not win the third division with ease. but enough of those ramblings i'll save them for another thread. As much as i would prefer the Div 3 option I really doubt that it will happen, as previously mentioned in this thread the chairmen of the other clubs have their budgets set to include the current TV deal and I honestly think that the majority of SPL clubs outwith Celtic could not afford to drop a million pounds plus of revenue a season, so i can forsee rangers not getting the punishment that they should. Whilst the blame seems to be squarely layed on the boogly eyed one, personally I hold David Murray responsible for all this mess. the horrific overspending, the dodgy tax loopholes and the selection of a crooked successor. I just hope that the blame gets layed at the appropriate doors once the dust settles. Im surprised that Duff and Duffer haven't went after Murray in a similar manner to what they are doing with Whytes Lawyers. Surely he must be held accountable for some of the mess. Onwards and upwards though, and it seems we have a new shark, or school or sharks taking over. I honestly wonder what kind of people are getting involved with the club, As i cannot imagine that any of them have the best interests of the club at heart, and they are only out to either pick over the bones or get the club embroiled in some unknown dodgyness.
