  1. If these clubs are as ambitious as some on here would lead you to believe then why are they not leaving for the greener grass just now? I`ve no problem with ambition if that`s what you want to call it and clubs (office bearers, custodians etc ) can choose as they see fit but why the clamour to dismantle the junior grade (imperfect as it is and there`s already a thread running to cover it and how it could be improved) in the process. There`s a pathway there so why don`t they take it? If they are that confident then make the step/jump like Kelty already have.
  2. I`ve read it. They consulted with their fans and asked a direct question. So does that then mean that they should be told to go and play Amateur
  3. Obviously he has certain clubs in mind. He didn`t pluck the statement from his arse. We know what your opinion is, interestingly it flies in the face of the majority at your own club (if I`ve understood the threads on it) who if they were asked to vote on it would more than likely refuse to join the current offering ............
  4. Feel free to name the clubs that you feel aren`t of the stature required then or that in your opinion "bleat about travelling beyond the cosy confines of their own locality" don`t be shy about it as you`ve clearly got some names in mind.........
  5. And who gets to decide that clubs that have been existence for generations suddenly aren`t good enough to be included in this footballing utopia that you`re alluding to?
  6. I`m guessing that`s the school you went to............................so you can have it
  7. So your observations include questioning who I am because I may have a different opinion from you which in turn somehow invalidates my views?? Don`t think so. Thankfully you have confirmed that you`re only an observer otherwise you would be writing up the constitution for a new league on the other side of the fag packet that the BSC proposal was written on.
  8. I`ve read your signature. Bizarre in as much as there are actually no such thing as dinosaurs, you do know that don`t you? At no point did I say you were on your clubs committee. I said that perhaps you should approach your club delegate (as a fan then surely your club will take on board your views and act accordingly) and ask them to contact the SJFA for clarity on the matter.
  9. I`ll try and keep it simple for you as you seem to equate any sort of reasoned argument as a meltdown..... it`s Hi you clown and not High, which is what you appear to be......are you going to contribute anything of any substance or just sit playing with yourself and giggling whilst typing with one finger........
  10. No thanks required. You`re correct in as much as your opinion means very little if anything to me. How many people are actually on a salary at the SJFA ? You`ve no idea what I think on the matter because I`ve not commented on it thus far but what I will say now is that it is incumbant on both the member clubs and the SJFA to be progressive both in terms of the game as it currently stands and the improvement of it going forward........
  11. What in particular makes it bizarre in your opinion.? I notice that again you`ve chose to ignore the direct question so I`ll assume that you know as much as everyone else does in relation to Friday`s agenda.....When it suits your point of view then you freely reference your clubs position or view so surely in this instance if it`s that important to you then you would have your club delegate lobby the SJFA for clarity...No? I`ve read your comments across previous threads and as soon as someone has an opinion or thought that differs from yours you attempt to deride them. Well as you say it`s an internet forum so I`ll continue to post regardless of who you think I may or may not be. Time will tell how matters unfold.......
  12. Thanks for taking the time to review my posting history.............absolutely nothing like a creepy assclown poking around in your posting history to get your attention. What I would say is that your club has taken a step on the path that they think will be best suited for them and perhaps if you have as much spare time as it appears then maybe you could offer them your services to make sure that they don`t falter on the journey............. Before you go though please feel free to tell me which particular part of my posts was incorrect in terms of the clubs having control and the power to make change.......
  13. I`ll ask again, DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE AGENDA IS FOR THIS SO CALLED SECRET MEETING ON FRIDAY IS? If the answer is NO, then everything else is just speculation and your personal opinion. If I happen to disagree with that then that`s my perogative and I`ll continue to comment as I see fit regardless of who you think I may or may not be.....What you could do though is get your club delegate to formally approach the SJFA and ask for clarification on the matter. Just a thought. Or maybe your club aren`t really looking at making the step into the pyramid (whatever that is) as a result of the potential financial implications and it`s just you making a noise just because you can....
  14. You talk about bias and conspiracy theories and then proceed to label the SJFA as cronies????? A WoSL is already a viable prospect but it needs to be put together in a manner that benefits all the clubs. People keep referencing Kelty and the EoS as though they/that is the benchmark, sorry but it`s not. That works for Kelty but that`s as far as any analysis should go. Any WoSL should be based on the best points (whatever they are perceived to be) of the other similar leagues and then refined to suit the needs/wishes of the proposed member clubs. It shouldn`t be a mirror image of anything. The reality is that the vast majority of clubs won`t ever be in a position whereby they have decisions to make in relation to pyramid progression/senior utopia and there`s nothing wrong with that. Any WoSL should tick the box for these clubs as well as the minority who may want to give themselves a decision to make in relation to progression. I would also agree with the previous posts that it shouldn`t be a starting point/shelter for clubs who see it as a short-cut/back door to something that they currently don`t have access to. It`s not complicated but it`s not as straightforward as some would have you believe .......
  15. Show me where I`ve defended anyone? I asked if anyone was privvy to the agenda for this "secret meeting" knowing full well what the answer would be. If you know different however I`m happy to be corrected. If you view the BSC idea as you call it as anything other than self serving and duplicitous then crack on. For me and it seems a few others as well that scribbling some half assed plan (and I`m using the word plan loosely) on a fag packet before emailing it to some but not all of the clubs it could possibly affect is a non-starter.
  16. The short answer is no which you`re free to believe or not. If the meeting was that secret then nobody would know about it would they? Is it possible that it`s the first of what would be a sequence of meetings that would be required to try and lay some groundwork for a solution that would work for the majority if not all of the clubs that something like this would ultimately affect? As I`ve said previously, the notion being floated by BSC is self serving and duplicitous in nature. If there really is to be some sort of change then it needs to be planned/considered and not scribbled on the back of a fag packet before being circulated 20 minutes before a decision is required
  17. Do you know what the agenda is for this meeting? I`d hazard a guess that the answer is no. Any changes, significant or otherwise, will at some point be presented to all the member clubs for comment/discussion/approval or otherwise. The clubs that are complaining about the shambles surrounding the it`s a secret/no it`s not email are no different from you complaining about the SJFA/SFA having a meeting that`s a secret/no it`s not.
  18. The whole notion contained within your email/message will remain nothing more than that then. I`m going to take a wild guess here and suggest that whatever you`ve floated won`t even be on the agenda for any sort of discussion at the aforementioned meeting. A poorly delivered message that`s obviously laced with self-interest and ulterior motives. You can`t be surprised with how it`s been received.
  19. So if the first round of clubs that were allegedly invited via your first circulation decline to go forward then do you circulate another invitation to the other clubs that allegedly weren`t invited initially?
  20. The "lot more" you refer to is questionable. It`s a capped amount of money that is only available on the basis that Clubs will have access to funds that significantly exceed the value of any grant available to them. For every club that has this type of liquid capital there will be another 50 who don`t.
  21. I thought you would know given you keep referencing it. The figures are accurate and the funding is only available from the SFP to clubs that are full members of the SFA and playing in the SHFL,SLFL,ESFL AND SSFL for infrastructure improvements. Any other applicants would be dealt with by the SFP Trust and come under the auspices of Community.
  22. So in summary, what do you see as being the actual figures that the SFA pay to clubs annually that clubs outwith the pyramid currently receive? Is that figure fixed regardless of the number of clubs or does it get diluted by an increase in member clubs? The funding available from the SFP is capped at 50% of eligible expenditure per club at £20k for SHFL & SLFL clubs and even less at £10k for ESFL and SSFL . This will still requires significant capital expenditure by the club that applies it and any application will only be awarded when the applicant can show proof of funds.
  23. You can`t even get it right for your own club far less another 9/10.... The only shite I smellllll is coming from you. The other Clydebank fans on here have been fairly straight and to the point. Any move would need to be proposed, voted on and passed by your club members/board and to date there hasn`t even been a formal discussion on the subject. Is that discussion taking place anytime soon? Junior clubs are not going to jump on the first half assed scheme that gets shoved under their noses. A new league with no constitution, management structure etc and not recognised/affiliated by the games governing body.....sounds magic where do we sign...
