This has been talked about before,and as silly as it sounds it is a big possibility that it may happen...if not Airdrie,then someone like Cowdenbeath.If the vote to get into the SPL fails,and they find the only way in is starting in division 3,i fear this is when we may well see them go after another club. As mentioned in a thread earlier,they have not officially changed the name yet,and are still known as sevco.So they could be waiting for this to see if they need to rename another club as The Rangers football club.

Maybe Green is playing this as a blinder,and has no intention of actually putting a team on the park.He is just going through the motions to bide time for when he sells off the ground to a property developer,or supermarket chain.

Sadly i agree here,if they don't get into the SPL i fear the SPL will fold,and a new league structure will be set up allowing them the road back in.If that fails i fear they will go after an easy target club to secure league status.

And that could mean the buying Airdrie rumour could once again rear it's ugly head.That's where they would end up with the RFC no longer being in the SPL

Still stinks all this happening in one day though.He is even urging true Rangers fans not too buy season tickets from Green,they can wait until August to buy them,and by that time Green will have buckled in his not wanting to sell his shares to Walt.What he didn't say that Green mentioned on Sportsound though is that no one has a monopoly any longer,most only have a 10% shareholding. Listening to Derek Johnstone on Real Radio its looking like a forgone conclusion that The Rangers will still be in the SPL next season.He's spouting shit about no sky deal,and club chairmans bank managers will influence the decision for the vote,and not the fans.Chairman backing down to fans will look like cowards in the clubs players eyes. Just when you think some justice is about to be served you get this,it smells even worse now than it did before HMRC pulled the plug. I honestly am starting to believe that they will be in the SPL next season,debt free,and with the name change that has now been put through,it looks like more of the same next season only this time they will be much stronger financially.Wait and see the rule changes to keep them in European football from 2013 onwards.

It is a great gesture from Walter Smith and co,genuine Rangers people with the true Rangers only interests in taking over the club. Listening to Radio 5 live just now they say that Green and McCoist had words last night.He still wants McCoist to remain in charge of the newco,but as of yet Sally has not came back with his version of the events. Seems to me that Green does want rid of McCoist,but will do everything to make it look like Sally has walked away.Also remember saying a long while back in the thread that i was wondering if they knew something we didn't in promoting the new strip which no longer had the 5 stars on it.Still stick by this,as Green has confirmed the new name they are looking to use is...wait for it.......Rangers Football Club.So the strip they promoted is perfect.

Maybe it has already been mentioned,but will numbers 3-5 no longer need to come into play.As these were punishments for the oldco...and as they will no longer exist i can't see how the SFA can bring actions against the new club. Sanctions for a newco,yes Punishment for the oldco,no.
