  7. Can't wait for that as well, Scottish Cup 2009 final is ours and i'll be laughing all day at the orcs blaming everyone but themselves.
  8. I swear we were the same club! But what about Third Lanark, did they continue as a club through 1967? No so your club died and has clone that is acting like Rangers.
  9. Adam Answers the Walter Smith Mystery – The Rangers Website Got it Wrong! I posted a piece a wee bit earlier today, which was prompted by Adam and Ecojon talking at cross purposes (that being a charitable explanation) about Walter Smith’s position as a Director of Rangers. I have mentioned before, regarding other Ibrox directors, that there is a duty to notify Companies House of Directorial appointments and departures within 14 days. Ecojon was wondering why Mr Smith’s appointment, trumpeted all over the press on 11th and 12th November did not seem to have been noted by Companies House. I looked at what the official Rangers website said on 11th November, and what it is saying today, and pointed out certain inconsistencies. Adam, who has in the past had access to the inner workings of Rangers came up with a fine “nothing to see here, please move along” response as noted below. The official site got it wrong a few weeks ago. Nothing sinister in it, they just jumped the gun with what they said. Todays piece clarifies the position as i stated earlier this morning Paul. As you say though, not a huge issue. In fact, its not even an issue at all. I agree that this is not a big issue, yet the response is in the finest tradition of spin-doctoring. Almost in a “We are at war with Eastasia; we have always been at war with Eastasia” manner. (I am not suggesting Adam is a power-mad egomaniac, intent on world domination and happy to twist the truth to dupe the cowed population and to direct them at his enemies. No that is actually ##### ######! Boom-tish! [Editor’s note – even though this is intended as a joke I have instructed the writer to remove the name of ##### ###### in case they take it seriously – thank you]) So what is Adam’s explanation for declaring that two directors had been appointed “WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT” in November when that is wrong? Ah yes. “The official site got it wrong and jumped the gun.” So, the official site, operation of which has been taken in-house by Mr Green to save £30,000 per month, managed to announce two new directors, complete with quotes from them both and from the CEO, coupled with a picture of all three, leading to this being all over the press the next day…and this was all a mistake! Indeed, such a mistake that the “mistaken” post was still there this morning when I looked! It would, I suspect, be an embarrassment to Mr Green that his internal website operation were able to make such a mistake, and then not to notice it!? Maybe he should out-source it again to someone who won’t make such a mistake! After all, on Adam’s explanation, the present operation is incompetent! People accuse me of finding something negative to say about Rangers everytime I post. That is not true. In one post in February, for example, I was neutral about them until the end of the second paragraph. (Another joke by the way). I have repeatedly proclaimed my belief in Mr Green’s remarkable business abilities, which have resulted in him turning an asset worth £5.5 million into one worth upwards of £60 million or more, in under six months! And this website issue is not a big deal. However the immediate rush by Adam and others to respond and to suggest that today’s post by Rangers “clarifies” the situation, when in fact it directly contradicts what it said before, is indicative of the instinctive desire to “defend” Rangers, even where there is no attack at all! And bizarrely, the way in which the official site acts as if the report of 11thNovember does not exist, is what makes people interested in the previous announcement. I suspect that literally thousands of companies every year manage to forget to tell Companies House about directorial changes. I imagine very few, if indeed any, have any action taken against them. I find the matter curious. Posted by Paul McConville PS Do me a favour guys (and girls) – tone it down a bit please. I am delighted that the blog is known as a place for reasoned discussion generally, and the quality of the commenters and their respect for each other, even where disagreeing, is integral to that. Let’s not lose it. Thanks.
  10. It's Third Lanark 140th birthday tomorrow, so don't know why Newcunto FC are making a celebration tomorrow.
  11. So Craig Whyte found a buyer from his colleagues in London and then introduce Charles Green to D+P, Charles Green offered £2 to Craig Whyte sealing the deal for his consortium. And now Charles Green put out a scam share issue to all sevco fans putting their hard earned cash into Chuckles pockets. Then Charles Green pay Ticketus back from the share issue and now Charles Green give the club to the fans, the club is now worthless again and it will have to be ceased as a club running low on money.
  12. Craig Whyte's lawyers drop court action against ex-Rangers owner Craig Whyte: Bought 85% stake in Rangers for £1 in May 2011. £1 haha! The lawyers for former Rangers owner Craig Whyte’s have dropped legal action against him. Mr Whyte, who bought an 85% stake in the Ibrox club from Sir David Murray for £1 last May, had instructed Bannatyne Kirkwood France and Co to sue the BBC last November. He had instructed the firm in an attempt to sue the corporation over a documentary about him that it broadcast in 2011. The case against Mr Whyte was scheduled to call at Glasgow Sheriff Court this month. It is believed Bannatyne Kirkwood and France had taken the action against Mr Whyte over fees it was owed in relation to the BBC case. However, on Friday the civil office confirmed that Bannatyne Kirkwood France had requested in advance that the case be dismissed. It is believed the action was dropped by the lawyers after they reached an out-of-court settlement with Mr Whyte. The Glasgow-firm had been instructed to begin proceedings against BBC Scotland over the documentary, Rangers: The Inside Story, which was shown last October. The programme revealed Mr Whyte had previously been banned from being a director for seven years in 2000. No action was formally raised in the Court of Session in Edinburgh against the corporation, although a writ was served on the BBC in February this year. After the documentary was screened, the Ibrox club withdrew from cooperating with the BBC, accusing those behind the programme of "muck-raking". Mr Whyte initially instructed London defamation law specialists Carter Ruck to commence immediate proceedings against the corporation, but it was not able to represent him in Scotland. In February, Rangers were plunged into administration with debts of up to £124m. Insolvency firm Duff and Phelps was appointed but was unable to secure the future of The Rangers Football Club plc through a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) in June, before the club’s assets were sold to a newco owned by a consortium led by Charles Green in a £5.5m deal. The oldco has been placed into liquidation by neutral insolvency firm BDO, which was appointed at the insistence of the company’s largest creditor, HM Revenue and Customs. In October this year, Mr Whyte gave the BBC an exclusive interview about his reign at Ibrox. He claimed that Duff and Phelps knew about his use of a £27m deal with Ticketus for season ticket sales to effectively fund his takeover and wipe out the club’s £18m Lloyds Banking Group debt. The administrators have denied this repeatedly, while they are also involved in legal action against Mr Whyte and his former lawyers Collyer Bristow in England. Earlier this year Harper Macleod, the law firm Mr Whyte instructed in divorce proceedings from his estranged wife Kim, lodged a bankruptcy petition against him at Inverness Sheriff Court over non-payment of a bill. However, the petition was withdrawn after a deal was reached out of court.
