On holiday at the moment so decided to have breakfast out. Wanted a roll and a cup of coffee. She went and ordered and I got a table outside
Breakfast arrives, have a bite at my roll and a drink of coffee and it’s the most sickly sweet thing I’ve ever tasted.
What did you order me to drink says I, vanilla latte says she. I have never ordered or drank a vanilla latte in my life

Been hanging off in the hope of getting a late booking to go abroad in September, but swaying more towards booking a pet friendly cottage at home instead, and the Neuk is where I'm thinking.
Spent years delivering around the area, starting around Burntisland and all the way up through the likes of Elie, Pittenweem, Anstruther and Crail up to St Andrews and Leuchars. A cracking drive and all great wee places to visit. Never holidayed there though (bar a couple of nights camping at St Monans).
My main quandary though is where best to book as a base? I like the idea of the relative tranquility of somewhere like Crail for a complete break and peace and quiet, but on the other hand, maybe St Andrews or something might be better for more choice of pubs and eateries at night.
Any thoughts as a veteran of the area?
I’m in Anstruther, busy this afternoon but hopefully it’ll be a bit quieter on Monday when there’s not as much weekend traffic
It’s only a short run to St Andrews, I’m happy to nip in for a day but I’m also happy to get out of there. Too busy at times
Anstruther has everything from “that chippy” to a Michelin star restaurant. It’s the biggest of the towns/villages between Crail and St Monans. They all have nice walks about town and wee cafes to sit at and watch the world go by. St Monans no longer has a pub. View from my holiday let.

I’m off to the East Neuk for a fortnight. Been going there since I was a very young person, lots to do, nice wee towns to wander round and plenty of good places to eat
Diet starts 2nd August
Edited to add, looks like it’s my fiftieth anniversary tour. First went my gran’s caravan in St Monans in 1971

Women inherit every mental habit off their mother, but there’s no questioning it regardless of how stupid it is. The amount of times over the years I’ve questioned her doing stupid shite, her only response is to inform me that her mother does the exact same thing therefore it must be normal.

Lucky you. I was at the lagoon centre in Paisley watching my niece in her gymnastics display.
It was my birthday, I fell down between my seat and the row in front after one of the goals. Happy drunken days

I have an Xbox but I now own a laptop too which I'll be picking up on my way home from work.
Just to clarify, I was planning to buy one anyway, this just hastened it. I'm not that crazy to buy one solely for watching football.

Does anyone else find themselves eating absolute shite when they're working a Nightshift? I've tried to just flip my meal times by 12 hours but I still end up digging into multiple bags of crisps and Haribo which I wouldn't normally do through the day.

Our Millie
My daughters wee mutt.
Dog developed a limp and we took her to the vet after being very sick last Saturday. Tests done over the weekend, turns out the wee mutt was riddled with cancer. Put to sleep on Monday, only 4yo.
We have another older dog but the house is so quiet, she was a wee dog but a big character
Incredible how much they become part of the family.
