How many other teams have been horsed by Celtic? None, how many sat in their own eighteen yard box for ninety minutes? One, Saints last time. Tanser, Shaughnessy in particular have been shocking. And not for the first time. The way they are playing Saints would have been thrashed no matter how they approached the game.

If Hamilton did what Saints did many here would ridicule them. I expect us to be set up to try to get forward when we can, to be able to support front players. Not to play the ball up the park knowing that it’s coming straight back. It was Kilmarnock and Ibrox all over again. Only difference being Celtic missed sitters. One up has led to us being under pressure for almost 90 minutes. If playing one up then they shouldn’t be as isolated as Watt is every time. The players who took the pitch on the whole played well, Clark was super, the defenders were excellent and the midfield players defended well. But we are out of the cup.

Levein out managed Wright today. He saw what Saints did last week and adjusted. Saints just presumed what worked last week would work this week. The last three games I’ve been to, Dundee, Partick and today I’ve wondered exactly what Saints do all week. They have looked clueless. For example, they seem to have no idea what to do at either attacking or defensive set pieces. If the players have a game plan or even a set up pre kick off they are forgetting it as soon as the game starts.
