  1. I dip in and out (careful now) and every week hear "goooool" and after 20 secs in that commentator's company I'm none the wiser: who's playing, who scored & what is the score now. Stewpot is becoming an irritant. Constantly interrupting and I had the "my God" count as 5 when Ricky Law was trying to remind him what he'd said previously. Oh and if every game is a "big big game" then there's no "big big games".
  2. My internet connection really playing up this morning, I can't find any mention of the fact that Regan & Doncaster have resigned. Need to call TalkTalk ask them whit's gon on. McLeish's report back in 2010 says we need a 10 team SPL, yer man Doncaster is on record saying there is no other option other than a 10. Course he said that before Feb 14th this year. A Valentine's Day Massacre indeed. Now, after much scribbling on the back of a bookie's line, it has to be a 12, 14 or 16 team top division. Doncaster 5th Jan 2011 "those who want 16 teams in the top flight are deluding themselves", saying a 16 team SPL would mean a "£20M loss", a financial armageddon. SPL is patently not working, don't know how adding an SPL2 would make things any better. Get the SPL/SFL merged intae one. Get a fairer distribution of money. Get the 11-1 voting system punted. Get Regan & Doncater up on charges of bringing the game into disrepute. Am I reading it right that "The new Rangers company will be involved in the discussions with the governing body". Eh? Aye ah'm sorry m'lud for stealing tens of millions of pounds, why don't don't we sit down for a cosy wee chat with some claret & succulant lamb and see if it's my left or right wrist that will be slapped and see how long you can tickle ma tummy. http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/18838183 Oh aye and Jim White's an arsehole.
  3. You mean all the badge-kissing Novos of this world and the double-contract, EBT-ers are NOT lining up to pay back their ill-gotten gains? Shurely shome mishtake?
  4. Believe there is scheduled to be meeting to decide who gets Club 12 spot, Dundee, Dunfermline or.....Coisty's Chancers
  5. Embdy else considered the fact that newco just might not get enough votes "to enter the SFL"? Is that possible? Then they'd become the Govan Globetrotters.
  6. Scottish fitba needs to cut costs......Regan & Doncaster can share the same taxi later today as they're punted out of Scottish fitba
  7. If that's 4 public expressions of 'YES', then they're some way short of getting this through are they not? What's the voting system? Don't then need a majority of the 30 SFL clubs, ie 16 to vote yes?
  8. So let's see, since the incepcion of the SPL the national team has failed to qualify for the finals of a major tournament but to be fair we did reach the last 3 of the Kirin Cup once Embdy else want to see every team actually bring through and give their youngsters a chance? I know I do. Young Scottish players being given a chance to develop, make their mistakes, learn & improve their game and I genuinely think with time our international prospects would improve. Fans and OUR game first. In Spence we trust.
  9. Traynor (go on, admit you don't read this thread), it's not about Rangers being "kicked out", more a case if the new company wishes to begin playing football then they are entirely free to apply to any league they wish. We have heard in the past decade they have been looking to leave SPL anyway. SPL have their vote scheduled for Wednesday, let's see how many vote yes. Failing that, they can apply to join the SFL although how a new club could immediately be parachuted into Division 1 I have no idea. But then again I'm just a genuine fitba fan supporting my local team so what do I know? How about John "Bombastic" Brown being made Chief Executive of SPL?
  10. First post here and although nothing more than a die-hard fitba fan, there's something I'm not understanding with the SPL application: Auld Rangers are no more so lost their place in the SPL. New Rangers are not yet even a member of the SFA (or have I missed that?) and are definately not a member of the SPL. How is it then that Rangers are supposedly getting a vote on whether they are to be admitted on July 4th? Bit like putting a white ball in the bag yirself on whether you're to get intae the masons. I'm just not getting it. Right now there are 11 clubs in the SPL. What have I missed here?
