The Famous Aberdeen - Season 2022/23
Tommytommybrolin replied to a topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
There is not a column in the league table for how nice your team are. If they train, turn up and put their best in, I don't care what they are like as people. Sponsors might. But unless sponsors are affected I really don't care. -
I am always tempted to post on every RM thread that "Murray and Whyte should be forgiven for what they did to Rangers". Just to see what happens. I find a slight tension between a club whose fans seem committed to a certain religious leaning which has at its central ethos the power of forgiveness and the "never forgive" poster bot.

The Leggo blog spotted a problem with Rangers' fans buying tickets: "It also came on a day when Rangers fans who turned up at Ibrox to buy tickets for the game at Brechin on Sunday, discovered Charles Green’s Sevco company was unable to take payments by credit or debit cards." Presumably of more interest to many of them would be whether they could buy season tickets with someone else's credit card.

Why are there all these references to religion, Ireland, flags and the monarchy? These have nothing to do with football. It is sad to say that absent any real developments in the thread it has been hijacked by those of a certain persuasion in the Strathclyde region to perpetuate the types of obsessions and attitudes that give the rest of Scotland and Scottish football a bad name. This thread needs to move to the 3rd division or the Sevco-Celtic thread where it now appears to belong.

http://www.dotheboun...-stripped/ page5 I think Bud62 has, for once, said something that the hardcore "Rangers" fans and the rest of Scottish football can agree on: "Re: Titles and cups to be stripped Ive simply had enough it's clear that Rangers and Scotland don't go. This constant barrage of sanctions from small minded people has to stop. It's time to move to a league where we are wanted. My vote is to up sticks and move to the Northern Ireland Football League"

Could the Celtic and "Rangers" fans who wish to spout petty minded sectarian bile please go to their dedicated hate thread, which we all know was set up so none of the rest of us had to see what was in it. If you judge someone by their religion then you are a neanderthal. The poison of sectarianism is a good reason why losing half of the Old Firm would have been 50% of the way to a better Scotland.

Can we get some assurances that Newco will have suitably distinctive name from Rangers? Personally I think any name with the word "Rangers" in it will be confusing and will ultimately lead to this new club being confused with the old defunct club. I have seen already fans and media being confused into thinking this new club has some history and has many titles to its name.

So what if the clubs have to spend less on wages? Will that make much difference to what we see on the pitch? Probably not. The SPL and all the fancy contracts are all geared towards helping the Old Firm building squads which can challenge in Europe. And as a supporter of a team that is not a member of the Old Firm, their European campaigns are of only mild interest to me. So OK Celtic might not be able to afford a new Japanese midfielder or a Croatian left back, the Newco will not be able to eventually buy up and coming Scottish talent from Hibs and Hearts and Kilmarnock for £2m and then leave them rotting on the bench. Tell me what I am to miss about that?

Dundee had to be a "Yes" which is why they were suddenly "ordered" to vote despite the "conflict of interest". Regan "You are conflicted and can't vote" Dundee "OK" Days later Regan "What would you vote, if you did vote?" Dundee "Yes to Newco in Div 1" Regan "Conflict of interest? What conflict of interest? There is no conflict of interest if you agree with me"
