  1. season top isn't awful but is very dull. Rovers top is a smart looking top.
  2. reading the various statements I don't see anything in there unusual. The way business works these days there is nothing odd in people at the top moving on after a period. He may have looked at things and thought that with some stability at the club now and the Premiership secured for another season that now would be a nice time to move on. Don't see much else in it beyond that.
  3. I think Boyle is staying in the Championship for a simple reason - it's his level. He should have a decent career from it and I hope it goes well for him but he isn't a player for the Premier level imho.
  4. impeccably wrong for Killies sake I think. Awful player, looked a possible for the future then faded very, very badly. Put in some utterly hopeless displays when with Leeds.
  5. I'll never understand what people saw in Dyer to keep him this season. I didn't rate him in lower division games, never saw him as premiership standard player.
  6. Seriouly? he is being done for saying a team is dead? utter joke. I hope Celtics lawyers tell the SFA where to stick this. The SFA created this frankensein at Ibrox they are making a mockery of Scottish football.
  7. we have some really tough games in the run up to the split too, all top 6 games including a head to head with St Johnstone.
  8. It seems Scottish football has declared the word debt the equivalent of being declared a witch. Most of us have debt in a mortgage, credit cards etc but pay your way and it's not a problem. Debt can be good debt or bad debt. Sevco found out the hard way when lloyds bank look at the books and declared enough was enough. Dundee are not in that position.
  9. didnt Everton demolish one of their Leitch stands years back? If we could at least do something to revamp the roof support taking away the view-blocking pillars? no idea if that is a massive engineering job or not? I sit in the Soth Enclosure but really it is bloody awful and needs completely upgraded. Has to go.
  10. Contradiction there is why would you "look for fans" in a stadium with fans in it watching the game? Ergo you were looking around a stadium populated with fans looking for empty seats
  11. McPake does ok for us, I think half the flak he gets is being associated with a truelly horrendous Hibs team. I felt he was one of the few that gave them any stability at all, there were many well ahead of him at Hibs that deserved the brutal criticism that came their way.
  12. Pearson always seemed a decent player and at 32 (just turned) should still have something to offer (I hope!). Like a lot of players his career is dotted with periods of injury but nothing major seems to have blighted him. I presume the Indian league was for money and to keep himself in shape if any of Europes top teams came in for him. His day has arrived!
  13. Lets face it, some players couldn't give a feck about pre-season, it's just a matter of getting fit. It was probably Gordon Strachan at Celtic I remember as being the first manager I can recall that wasnt the slightest bit bothered about results in July against some Bavarian select or wherever they were training and playing, whilst the Daily Record churned out the usual 'crisis' headlines. The season matters, that's all. Probably well down the pecking order with how things are at Man C but the guy is a handful up here thats for sure.
  14. With dabs league we were far too one paced and slow. We seem to be working that out now
  15. Defeats to the dabs and dons are frustrating but the loss like the one to Ross are the ones that really concern me. Our next game is again against a team like Ross that appears to be struggling and a chance to get something. Lose that and a confident Hammies up next then I will be rather worried.
  16. It can be guilty of old pals stuff where ex players simply can't bring themselves to say what needs to be said as the player in question is an ex team mate maybe even a personal friend. Too much honest player, he's no that kind of player crap when he clearly is! Richard odious?! Really? You kept that word for him? Wow
  17. UEFA themselves. The official allocated to the game spotted that Legia fielded a player clearly banned from playing due to suspension. UEFA tanks started rolling at that point and the rule for that infringement is quite clear - yer oot! You can ignore all the usual pope style conspiracy claims. Also it was only the second leg that was over turned the first result stood but Celtics away goal meant they won on aggregate. Thems the breaks.
  18. Yup a decision in their favour would mean European games whatever the result in the next round
  19. He who laughs last.....seems legia fielded an illegal player
  20. We all takes shots at other teams, I'm no different. But there seems to be an argument here around the CL etc that what Scottish football needs is failure. Failure is good, failure makes us all the same, failure will lead to competition and excitement. Can anyone point me at a single instance where that has worked? If that is the thinking then we really are screwed and the ' failure is good' people will have helped it along the way.
  21. fair question. Any accountant worth their salt would wangle something around assets such as the stadium value but - I think! - thats a busted flush due to Mastertons ludicrous lifetime mortgage he has? apologies if I have this wrong. Take that out of the equation and there are no assets.
  22. "Charlotte 18" is the name of an offshore 'company' holding shares linked to Masterton. The 'company' doesn't really exist other than a piece of paper. Murray International Holdings head office is in Edinburgh, based at............ Charlotte Square.
  23. exactly. Murray Int. was basically used as a front to finance Rangers on enormous debts whilst other smaller clubs such as Livi and Dundee were being stomped by the same investment operation. The whole HBOS/Cummings/Masterton/Murray (and by default Rangers) cartel beggars belief. In terms of Scottish football the trail keeps coming back to Masterton and the Boardroom at Ibrox, Charlotte 18 and the whole seedy corruption that was at the heart of Scottish football for a decade.
  24. made some good points then bllew it! where you get the idea that Dundee pretend it never happened beats me. Administration and near extinction still haunts the Dees and will do for some time to come. Every penny and every debt has to be considered. The slightest error and we would probably disappear next time (not that there will be a next time of course!).
