  1. Noticed that - the boy that shouted had a good point! Stupid, stupid booking to pick up. Fair result in the end, usual story for BSC in that the build up play is often nice but no cutting edge against "bigger" sides in the league. For the height of big Rob (no.9), I've never seen a guy lose so many contested aerial challenges! Bembo (no.8) had a good solid game and was surprised to see him subbed.
  2. If he was the right back, then yeah. The whole defence looks shaky however! Went along to take in the game and was impressed by Stirling Uni in the first 10 mins. Was all Shire after that, especially when the 2nd goal went in. Same old story for the Shire, very impressive when in possession and controlling the game but nervous when on the defensive. Jamie Glasgow is some player for this level, and Andy Rogers could easily still do a job in the SPFL. Wee nippy number 10 for the students looks a good player too.
  3. I suspect if that's the case, Edusport will take the chance more than willingly (given they applied with Hawick and CSS). St Cuthberts are about to achieve the license too, so it'll be interesting to see if they find another reason to fail re promotion... Are LTHV licensed in the EOS? Totally agree. Spartans were good at BSC last weekend, but not as impressive as I expected - indeed BSC could have nicked a point having missed an (albeit dodgy) penalty. Looks like a two horse race this year, will be interesting to see who comes through the Highland League.
  4. Well, looks like Doncaster will be hanging around, given that at least a couple of SPL chairmen were clearly in cahoots with him in bullying the SFL. Can't see the clubs turning on him for fear of the whole truth coming out. Regan, however, is well and truely fucked! Good riddance!!!
  5. Doncaster is so greasy that questions fired at him slither away...I'm getting more and more frustrated here listening to this!
  6. I still don't understand why Longmuir didn't take a strong stance akin to this, and hold Regan + Doncaster to ransom in order to get a better deal. This is the best opportunity he and the board will ever have to improve the SFL's circumstances, and he's ran away scared from it. Too late now, though. Yet another disappointment.
  7. The closer we get to the vote on Friday, the more confident I am becoming that the SFL will do the right thing. Looking at the Clyde statement, I'd imagine that a motion of no-confidence in the SFL board could well be raised if it seems they are still intent on shoe-horning Sevco into the first. It's disgraceful that no media outlet has reported the statement, but ultimately unsurprising.
  8. Again, great to have clarity from the board. To me, this part is key... Hardly a vote of confidence in the powers that be!
  9. The reaction of my club has ensured my continued support come what may with this whole carry-on. It's great to see us acknowledging the fans, and leading the way by keeping us all informed. Proud! To think, I went along to Formartine United v Falkirk last nite with half a mind on supporting them full-time as a result of the corruption happening...great wee setup, and on an unrelated note good to see two teams trying to play a passing game.
  10. Well done Annan - hopefully this will kick-start similar statements from other SFL clubs, just as Romanov got the ball rolling in the SPL. I'd expect Raith to follow suit (as if Turnbull needs to!)
  11. That may be, but my understanding was that if more than 50% reject the motion, the gap in the Third Division left as a result would go to an open application process? That way, we can prevent them getting straight into the first by saying no, but leave the back door open potentially? Mind you, nothing seems predictable in this! For all we know, a no vote could result in the Newco being somehow shoe-horned into the SPL or SPL2...with less than a month till the season starts!!!
  12. Hi gents - long time lurker, first time poster! I've been following this whole sorry saga since the start, feeling a mix of disbelief, joy and desperation. I can't wait for the whole thing to end and to get a final answer to be honest. I've again e-mailed the SFA, SPL and SFL with my thoughts, not that it'll make much difference. The only thing we can do now is contact the chairmen of SFL clubs, and try to ram home the strength of fan feeling on this. I've just fired off another message to John Alexander at Clyde to thank him for our clubs clarity so far, and to encourage him to stick to his guns. I'll also be contacting Turnbull Hutton with a similar message. I'm still relatively positive, however - John Yorkston said just the other day that he sees the majority rejecting the idea of the Newco in SFL1 - what has happened in the last few days to change that? Are chairmen seriously going to be influenced by waste of spaces like Traynor and Burley? If anything, this whole story has proven how out of touch these muppets are!
