My missus' son left for work in his car at 9.30. He is still on Linlithgow High street. 2 miles in an hour and 40 mins.

Blizzard in Linlithgow for the last couple of hours. As our street has not seen a plough or gritter since last winter it looks like another couple of days off work.

The missus sent me out today to clear the snow off the roof of the shed. Bearing in mind that nobody has been in the back garden and the wind has been howling - however i am 6'3 and the snow was up to my waist. I am 40 odd years old and I have never seen snow like this in my life.

Another 30cms of snow forecast for West Lothian tonight !! Cant clear the drive again as nowhere to put the snow.

I agree with you about the CSA. Without a shadow of doubt the most useless organisation I have ever dealt with. They are due me a substantial amount of cash, have agreed they owe me the cash but can't give me the cash due to ongoing technical problems. This has now been the case for 9 weeks.

Got on a bike for the first time in 30 years last week. Have been out 4 or 5 times but can only manage about 3 miles before I am breathing out my ar*e. Get the feeling it will take a long time before I will be doing the distances mentioned here. It is a great feeling though and can't believe have waited so long.

Half an hour of heavy snow in Livingston this morning and the roads are a joke again.

Is snowing in Livingston again just now. Time to head home methinks.

The snow has been forecast for days but still the gritters in West Lothian appear to be locked up in the garage. Took 2 hours to get the 10 miles from Livingston to Linlithgow last night and about 40 minutes this morning to get back to Livi. Any more snow today and I will be on my way home.

Alan Norris is now spending a lot of his time in Scotland and seems a decent bloke so hopefully he will do well.
