Hancock celebrating reaching the arbitrary number of 100,000. When they include single gloves and paper towels in their “one billion pieces of PPE” you’ll forgive me for not trusting them on this. I wonder if any of the assembled media will ask him to clarify how many people were tested as opposed to tests done? -

Watching Johnson deliver the Downing Street press conference is akin to watching the Honey Monster take a primary school assembly. -
Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Why hasn’t the information exposed in Panorama last night about the shortages of PPE been forming the agenda of the news today? Even the BBC’s Hugh Pym didn’t raise it in his question to Hancock at the daily Downing Street whitewash. -

Here’s some of Gregory Campbell’s greatest hits. On homosexuality - "It's an evil, wicked, abhorrent practice. My opposition to that is based on the Bible and also based on natural justice and I know many people who do not share my Protestant faith but who would share my opposition to homosexuality because they believe it is something which would corrupt society as a whole and is something so radically awful as to merit total and utter opposition. You're not even talking about something which is a run of the mill sexual practice but something which is totally and utterly depraved, and to me anyway the AIDS scare which is currently running through America is proof that homosexual practice is something which calls upon the curse of God." On The Simpsons - In October 2008, Campbell spoke out against the American cartoon after a St Patrick's day episode showed a fight between nationalists and unionists. The episode also featured references to the IRA. Campbell said, "The Simpsons is a humorous cartoon but the context of using a line like that about an organisation which caused so much death will lead people to have very mixed views." On Dido - Campbell criticised the singer for her song "Let's Do The Things We Normally Do", which referenced lyrics from a song, "The Men Behind The Wire". The original song had been written in response to internment in Northern Ireland and Campbell suggested "she [Dido] should clarify her position so that her fans and the wider public knows where she stands on these things" Zoomer. -
Steve Mason (Beta Band) has an album out in a few weeks. He he played a session on BBC6 yesterday and it sounded great.

Despite looking a bit miserable, Herbie enjoyed his debut at The Old Course for The Dunhill last weekend.

Another from Beardsley's joke book. I went to to the pet shop to buy a goldfish. Do you want an aquarium asked the owner? I don't care what fucking star sign it is.

Loving Peter Beardsley's joke book from Athletico Mince. I saw a monkey in the jungle carrying a can-opener. I said to the monkey you don't need a can-opener for a banana. It's for the fucking custard he replied.

Cockapoo but mainly poodle - Mum is a cockapoo and Dad a standard poodle. He's only 9 weeks old and didn't give us much sleep in his first week with us but he's settling in now. Looking forward to being able to take him out as he's a bundle of energy.

Here's our new addition to the family, Herbie. A whirlwind of puppy excitement.

You've clocked me - I am Swifty's Cakes on Shacknet. I was obviously taking HJ too literally! Couldn't recommend going to see Mick in Liverpool enough. I've seen Shack a couple of times down there and it was a religious experience.

Is right. Superb gig, Mick looking and sounding great. Led to believe an issue with royalties was behind none of the new material being played but in truth I loved the Waterpistol vibe.

Cool. Do you have a link to this?
