  1. Yeah it seems a lot of gers fans forgot all about it and just throw money in the share issue and theres one gers fan in Australia pledge £1M to Rangers! ohmy.gif

    Ooooft! Really?

Why don't these people wake up? All they are doing is ploughing cash in, which will be used to cover wages to push for promotion to the SPL. (We all know they want to be readmitted to get back into Europe.)

I reckon another call for money will be asked for in a couple of years time in Division 1, but I reckon SevCo will still be kicking around then. I don't think Green will be off anytime soon, no matter how badly we all want it to happen.

  2. Thanks for that.

Reading that, it doesn't seem like he's in it for the buck, more like he wants to control a football club that will achieve greatness simply for his own ego. I'm not sure how many people will call me out on this - and disagree - but maybe he is here to win trophies, despite the fact Scottish cups and league titles mean nothing outside of Scotland?

Surely he would have learn last time? It just sounds like his managerial style is poor. Maybe he is butting into team talks with Sally and this is why the away form is so dire.

It does sound like he's a wind up merchant and trying to make money, and Rangers fans are pumping a stupid amount of cash into the company, but I don't think he is going to desert them unwillingly looking at that article.

But, most likely, he's just too stupid to realise how much he is paying in wages and creating another financial black hole...

  3. This is not actually a bad article given its source, its does get slightly caught up inthe what if scenario but it does ask the important questions that potential shareholders should be asking

This is what should happen, however it gets it slightly wrong, the original investors put up a total of about £6.25M, they then sold a pile of ST`s, did a deal with Sports direct and have sold considerable Match day tickets all of which is money in the bank, they have spent some of this, Temps (an asset), some of the football debts and operating costs, it appears they have used this cash in the bank along with undisclosed player valuations to boost the value of the company to £22.69M rather than calling it operating capital (legal but IMO immoral). So the 22M shares will not dwarf this

How did they fund the purchase of the assets, loan or investment, it should be treated as an investment but this needs to be clarified, this makes a big difference, if its investment then they need the share issue to be a success as this is the only way they can make money as the gain already achieved is actually either tied up in assets or needed as operating capital, if its a loan then they make money regardless

The 'what if stuff' and possible punishments is only important due to the timing, I think that Charlie should wait till the new year before doing this, let the dust settle from the FTT and the tribunals findings

What type of share are they offerings, will these have power if bought collectively

We need proper managements that show the company is able to stand on its on feet and that this investment is to be used for the long term good of the club and company, I do not mind if some of this investment is then used to buy some of the shares owned by those wishing to cash in sooner rather than later, after all it was them that took the action to buy the assets and continue the club, they deserve to get a suitable return for this

    So Mr Green

    Slow down

Issue some managements showing the company is self sufficient

Issue a prospectus in the new year showing how the shares are distributed

    Allow us collective power

Do this and I will purchase shares allowing you to sell your 10% back (and anybody else who wants to cash in) and wave cheerio

Anything else then then its gonna be a big no to shares from me and from what I see and hear then there are many other who think the same way

Oooofftt, even Tedi is asking questions now....tongue.gif

  4. Thanks for clearing that up MC, fair points you are making about Doncaster, Ogilvie, etc...who all have a lot to lose financially as you say.

Money is the reason we didn't have a larger SPL when everyone wanted it. It was because there would be fewer Old Firm games! Which meant less Sky money.

This is the reason punters are staying away.

Quoted to death, but true - if you look after the sport the money will follow you, if you look after the money, you'll kill the sport.

But why should Doncaster, Ogilvie care about the sport being killed? They have already made shitloads of money from it! They are here for the here and now, not the future! Which enrages me!

  5. If you applied that logic elsewhere .. then Parkhead should be empty when taking on the likes of Man United, Barcelona, Real Madrid and the other big teams in Europe since they have us financially overpowered and outgunned in terms of sheer class.

I don't think I'm coming across clearly, but the reason they pay to see these teams is that they might not ever see a Celtic vs Barcelona game again at Parkhead. Europeans draws are much less common than going to see the same team four times. All the SPL teams play each other too many times, but that's another discussion in its-self.

St Johnstone played EsEs recently, their full back DeDe made more money than the entire team, but everyone went because it was a big game against a new team, with a different environment. They drew a massive crowd, despite going into the draw 2-0 down already.

    Eh?!...

    1) They already are gone. Only 'The Tribute Club' remains.

The only people who ever benefited significantly financially from Rangers were players (mostly foreigners), managers and directors of Rangers, clubs outside Scotland who they paid the biggest transfer fees to, UEFA from fines due to their sectarian riotous fans, lawyers fom fees, banks with interest for loans, administrators fees and the yellow journalists who ate their succulent lamb and printed what Rangers told them to print. wink.gif

Sorry, I think I didn't put my point across correctly here. I mean the finance that it brings to the higher ups, like Doncaster etc. They must get a share of the TV profits, and they get bigger money. They devour our money and have no respect for us. They realise if Rangers go, they earn less. But if they got rid of them and Celtic went too (no disrespect to their supporters or team) they SPL would be so competitive and would attract many more fans back through the doors. I am sure of this, as anyone could win any game.

  6. Nothing to see here. Unfortunately there is no way Scottish football will be without SevCo, the powers that be wont allow it. SevCo will just carry on after OldCo is liquidated. We all know SevCo have no titles but the MSM and SevCo will peddle the lie regardless of what we all think and know. I'm afraid my portion of Ice Cream and Jelly will go uneaten.

I have to believe and agree with this. No wonder Scottish football is in such a terrible shape.

If Manchester United, the most well supported and popular club in the EPL went bust and was got rid of, everyone would still watch it. No-one would try and get them back in as the business model down there, unlike here, doesn't revolve around two clubs.

Even if Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal went broke and only left Manchester City, it still wouldn't be as bad. You would expect someone like Everton to give them a run for their money. The big teams down there are not expected to win every game. They do go in as favourites, but anything can happen.

Celtic and Rangers were - for use of a better word - overpowered compared to all the other teams. You don't ever expect to win against these two, so no-one bother to attend these games.

Rangers will never be gone. I wish they would as it would probably inspire Celtic to move on and would create a very competitive league. I mean, there are only 3 points between us and the leaders, and we are seventh! Everyone could take points off of everyone!

I really wish they would go, but due to the powers that be and the finance they bring, they will always be back in some shape or form.

  7. Naw, it's like watching a car crash, or You've Been Framed or Jackass. You know you really shouldn't watch, morally, because some poor bugger is getting toasted or seriously hurt, but it is fascinating, and you know you'll come back for more because, in the end (hope that phrase doen't upset anyone with a minority sexual orientation)............it is as funny as hell. Oh, aye, and we all say "Thank f**k, that's no me."

Hi, I'm Charles Green and welcome to Jackass.

This next stunt is called "fleecing dole scroungers out of their money".

  8. More (possible) evidence of players being lied to and behind the scene talks of Rangers jumping up a few leagues

    Link - http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/189133-sandaza-i-dont-care-what-critics-say-im-at-the-best-club-in-scotland/

Francisco Sandaza has shrugged off criticism of his move to the Third Division to play for Rangers, insisting he is at the best club in the country.

The former St Johnstone striker was one of a number of players to drop down from Scottish Premier League level to join Ally McCoist’s team, after they were admitted into the Scottish Football League after failure to regain a place in the top tier.

Critics have accused Sandaza and others of making the step down for financial reasons but the Spaniard insists his motivation is for sporting reasons.

“I don't care,” Sandaza said of those who criticised his decision to move. “I am at the best club in Scotland. Since I arrived in Scotland I wanted to play for this team.

“We are in the Third Division this year but I bet in a maximum of two years we will be in the top division again.”

Sandaza also believes that, despite Rangers’ league status, they have as good a chance as before of success in the country’s top two cup competitions.

He said: “This year we are going to try and achieve the Scottish Cup and League Cup. Maybe people think we will not achieve it but I have confidence.

“I think the club have done a great job signing good players. To be honest, this is my club now and even in the Third Division, it is the best one.”

  9. http://www.scottishf...ll/third/table/

Sorry old chum I can't seem to locate any club going by that name?

Perhaps you might consider abstention from the hallucinogenics prior to posting?

    There's a good chap..

I'm sure there's a picture going round somewhere about SevCo being the company name currently, but doing business under the name Rangers.

Again, I could be wrong. I don't claim to know much about business, but I know that there is a football club called Rangers which is about to investigated and probably going to liquidated and another football club also called Rangers playing football in the SFL3. Two companies CAN have the same name, but not in the same industry sector e.g. I could start a Graphic Design company called Microsoft, but not in the Computing sector. Hence why people are referring to them as SevCo.

The only attachment these two Rangers companies have is that one used to play at Ibrox with a manager called Ally McCoist, as does the new one.

  10. Getting back to the Airdrie / Clydebank continuation...Surely The Rangers are a continuation of the old Rangers in the eyes of the footballing authorities. Not interetested in the oldco/newco and what your personal thoughts on the matter are but purely through the laws of the game. If The Rangers have the membership of old Rangers then why were they not invited to take their place in the SPL.

Don't shoot me down here i am just looking for an explantion. I had a wee argument with a mate over this as i thought Airdrie United started in the lowest tier when they bought The Bankies..Looks like i was wrong..........again

I think part of the argument is whether or not The Rangers could be voted into SPL and Rangers got a vote on it. So in sense Rangers were voting for or against a different company, which exists today as Rangers/The Rangers/SevCo.

I could be wrong though. Can anyone shed some more light on this?
