  1. Has struggled to get into the game at all really. Doesn’t seem to have the game intelligence yet to enable him to do that against a team playing a low block. At his age I suppose that’s not a huge surprise. It is also a very young Liverpool team that has struggled in general with any supply to Doak being very poor.

Purely in the interests of science. Doesn't work. Says there is no offer for this code. Whether that's because its not 12 yet or because the have coded them for different windows (im 11 points) I don't know.

Im on 12 points and got the same message...

What if it was like that by design? A Punk who is dripping with insincerity and who over the coming weeks, it's clear he resents every single person there and the reasons for being back are to make money and to make folk like Rollins look stupid.

I know that's probably not the case and it was just a last minute thrown together thing. Reports saying that Raw was pretty much written well in advance and Punk being there was sort of bolted onto the end yesterday as it was too late in the day and chaotic to rewrite the entire show and the alternative of having him show up at SS and not be on Raw the night after would have been unfathomable. So even if it's just a few empty words, fire him out there to say anything and work on the plan for him in the coming week seems a lot more realistic.

His promo was basically an extended version of what Triple H said in the post SS press conference I thought. So what you’re explaining probably makes sense.

Hardly set the heather on fire but patience is a virtue.

Punk is a massive hypocrite. He's just genuinely an absolute dick of a person. Who knows what he actually stands for now? Will be amusing to see if he/when he blows things this time.

Of course he's also one of the best wrestlers ever and clearly a massive draw, so will do big business for WWE.

    😂

Would you turn down multiple millions of pounds and simultaneously give the fans what they wanted, in his situation? He slagged the WWE off and vice versa but time goes by and things change. What exactly did he stand for previously that he doesn’t now? He’s a wrestler not some politician for world change.

Watching bits of Raw last night - The Creed Brothers are mighty impressive but that finisher has to go.

Boy is completely not in control of his landing doing that and he's a massive lad to be landing on top of you without any semblance of control. He looks like he fucked Vinci's shoulder doing it and hopefully it gets amended which is a shame as it does look cracking, like a doomsday device/cannonball hybrid.

That the first time I’ve seen The Creed Brothers and thought they were the stand out thing on the show. That last finisher in particular did look abit dangerous though.

As for the Punk promo, I thought it was exactly that - a promo. When he returned to AEW it felt more like he was having a conversation with the audience rather than saying something prepared previously. It was definitely more organic. In saying that, given the nature of his and company’s relationship over the last 10 years, there was always going to be a bit of awkwardness to get over at first. Once he gets into a proper feud, I think all that stuff gets forgotten. Ultimately, that’s what we’re all here for.

Had Fulham v Wolves on in the background and was reminded of Tom Cairney who won MotM.

It seems strange that a guy that has played his entire career in either the Premier League or the top end of the Championship only has two caps. And he’s generally been captain of his club for much of that time.

Truth be told I can’t even remember his two appearances but I’m presuming they weren’t great, but strikes me as odd that a guy playing at the level he has never made any impact on the national side.

I’m sure one of his caps was the Costa Rica friendly we lost one nil. I remember thinking that he looked distinctly uninterested that night and was never really seen again. Was probably turned off by what was a far gloomier time to be involved in the national setup for both players and fans.

    Aw man...

Can anyone give me a glimmer of hope for this film? I'm being dragged along.

Sadly not, I’m afraid. There’s always the each to their own principle. For example, unlike @Mark Connolly, I actually enjoyed The Eternals. However, even with that taken into account the film seems to miss on just about every basis.

The plot and how it develops is horrendous. That’s the greatest shame as there’s an interesting story to tell leading into Deadpool 3. You can tell Sam Jackson is just phoning it in. The cgi is not the worst of the Marvel franchises but still pretty poor. The humour never lands. The villain is shite and underdeveloped. The whole thing is just a bit of a mess of random scenes thrown together with increasingly tenuous links to each one. The sequence before the end of the film is one of the most lazy and ridiculous that I’ve seen in quite a long time. It’s boring as f**k.

Other than that, you should enjoy yourself!

Clark isn't brilliant, but I think he's comfortably the best of our options for this game. Marshall is worse than the two other SPFL keepers who played against France, there's no point in picking him now.

Agree with this. Kelly has been an absolute bomb scare for us (Motherwell) recently, probably to the extent that he’s needing a period out of the first team. So, seeing him lining up for Scotland would be the worst of a load of not very good options.

Clark isn’t great I agree but at least has a little bit more presence than Kelly, although it’s marginal.

  9. Has anyone had experience of submitting various applications using the group ID? I’ve put all the tickets on my application and then tried to get my friends to create profiles and enter the ID number so we can sit together. However, they’re saying they can’t submit anything without selecting some tickets and we don’t really want to end up with multiple tickets for the same game.

  10. I thought we passed it around fine but Adams hold up play wasn’t at the required level tonight. Actually thought that improved when Brown came on.

Most of France’s goals came from our mistakes but also you feel that they could have stepped it up if necessary. Plenty to take from it and all in all, it’s been a fantastic week. Job done.

Now you're being silly. It's not about never playing top teams or diddy teams, it's about playing them at a time which works for Scotland where possible.

I understand there were only so many teams available for a game tonight, but was this a game our manager would've chosen, or is it simply a case of the SFA dropping their knickers to the highest bidders?

As mentioned above, the manager chucked out a B team tonight, to get minutes into legs, which speaks volumes. However, like you say, there were spells where we looked decent enough and a first choice Scotland XI does a lot better than what we got tonight.

With the Euros and Nations League A coming up it’s probably as good a time as any to play these teams tbh.

Looks like CM Punk may not be done after all, as WWE are now dropping in reference after reference to him on television.  Several from Seth Rollins and some from Michael Cole.  Could well be Rollins vs Punk at WM, which would be...a choice.  Absolute scenes too though.

Punk also said on one of his commentary gigs that he's free for the next two months. The timing of which apparently ties in with Survivor Series in Chicago.

Starting tonight away to Real Madrid, if anyone can be arsed watching it and tell me how he plays that would be smashing 👍

Caught the last 20 minutes of the 1st half. Tierney has been very good. Mostly in defensive phases as Real are pressuring but he’s not let anything get past him down his side. He had a one on one with Rodrygo that he looked like he might lose out on but did excellently with his recovery pace. He made one bursting run forward on the counter and only a poor pass from his team mate stopped him creating a chance.

It’s been an enjoyable game, so going to happily watch the 2nd half.

    What did Clarke say?

I think it's what he didn't say, really. He did mention it wasn't within his control which I think may be the telling bit. Other than that he gave the issue little heed. I think that can be taken two ways - he isn't happy with the press coverage and didn't want to speak to them about it or that Anderson has does a u-turn on his decision.
