Fine to have another midweek friendly tomorrow to try things out. Hopefully Emile gets a chance to claim the striker's jersey. Badly need someone who can take their chances.
Pity we didn't get Kane Hester . I have a feeling he will show Smith he was wrong to turn him down. Spark will be determined to do likewise tomorrow no doubt.
Smith turned Hester down .....well thats the script written for tonights encounter .

Greetings folks . Hows Sparky playing for youse ? He's a player i would have been happy to see stay with us . Take it easy on Tuesday night for i fear a hiding a coming . Got this feeling a 4 nil win for Elgin on the cards , much is the doom and gloom surrounding Brechins football fortunes these days .

Congrats on your Betfred Cup success . You lads might have been hoping for a ( no disrespect to Livi ) bigger club in the draw but i think this gives you a decent shout for further progression . Meant to comment on this before so please allow me to do this now . When Andy Jackson scored his first goal for Forfar against City the way he reacted to this was very low key and very respectful . Andy showed not only is he a good player but also a true gent . All the best for the coming season to you all.

Fwiw, I was in line with Lennox's goal line when he fumbled and the ball was a good foot over the line. Amazed it wasn't given by the linesman.
Best of luck this season in L2.Cheers . All the best to you lads too.

Well we haven’t learnt a lot from these pre-season friendlies. After a couple of tough seasons and starting a squad from scratch it might have been a better idea to have a few winnable games as opposed to chasing a few quid. Confidence may well be knocked out these guys before a ball is even kicked, but time will tell.
Agree a couple pf games against cannon fodder would boost the players confidence. Provided we manage to beat said teams.

Playing games pre season against better teams is all very well but after the last couple of years would it have been better playing against teams we had a chance of beating by a good few goals to build confidence so to speak ? Just a thought . I dont think a 6 goal reverse against United does anything for the mind set of players or fans alike. Oh well on to the Falkirk game tonight.

I think it's only 10 so there should be a glut of signings this week.
^^^^ This is my concern . I hope we dont just sign for signings sake to make up the numbers.

That my friends was a lesson in finishing ......Olly i like the look of . No 2 trailist looked ok ... Shagger defies his 36 years . His experience and helping the younger ones around him will help bring them on .

Who gives a feck " Junior or not " , " Cough cough " or not . Couldnt give a toss . What will be will be . One thing is for sure he'll either storm it and be the answer . Or be like some of the other forwards we've had in recent years ( cough cough ) . Best of luck to him . How many signed players do we have now ?

I agree that this is offer is a complete farce and is really really badly thought out and unbelievably naive . Time for a change !! we will see how many people come forward to apply for the position on the committee and what is said at the AGM probably as usual very little. - SO TO ALL SEASON TICKET HOLDERS ITS YOUR CHANCE TO HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF YOUR CLUB APPLY NOW FOR THE COMMITTEE POSITION
WTF writing in shouty capitals . YOU apply for the position . I am no longer a season ticket holder as it ran out at the last game of last season . Best of luck bud.

Not a fan of this either but how do you balance it?Simple you make sure you look after your existing season ticket holders first ie the ones who have sat through two years of dross.

Whoever thought up this shitty idea has no sense of what the season ticket holders for the last two seasons have had to endure . Then to find out ive to pay MORE than others for this years ticket is a total kick in the stanes . I cant believe what i read on the club website. Well im of the view that if they can afford to give tickets away cheaper to " FANS " as a welcome back then they can afford to do without my season ticket money. Message to Ken and co , you can come out and try to defend this all you want but see those fans that stuck by you and your team the last two seasons well ,well done you have just pissed a lot of them off . Nice work.

Mc Cord is great signing . Dont know anything about Watt. Very fustrating watch other sides make signings whille your team does nothing esp after the clear out we had. Hope this is the start of a spate o f good solid signings . Any truth that Falkirk are coming to the Glebe pre season ?

Hardly surprising the guys we want to keep moving on . Cant really blame them for moving . I thought Tapping would be off . Dont see any light at the tunnels end with this one . The silence from the Glebe is worrying .

Sunday Mail today says Bobby Barr left Dumbarton for East Stirling . Theres a player i would have liked back at the Glebe.

Hard working performance v Raith . Much better. Would be good to continue down at Links Park. Still feel we are a striker light though.

Right match day and no thread that im aware of . We now know that we will face Elgin at least 5 times this season . Hester will no doubt be out to prove a point to Smith . Hear that Sparky will be missing through injury . This is a tough one . Elgin have started the League season well. While we are still finding our feet . If Sutherland and Hester in the mood i fear the worst . However its another game to try and gel a bit more . Lets attack from the off and see what happens , after all nothing to lose. Big crowd coming from up north ?
