So most of you would like an experienced manager in then by the sounds of it? I wouldn't mind seeing a younger manager in and see how they got on this season.... plenty of decent ones in the Juniors or other clubs just now. Something to entertain us fans and have that hunger and desire to make something of themselves.... we have a decent squad at present but Darren clearly not getting the best out of them.....

Well two of us ......straws clutching at them ......

Left us in a good state and laid foundations for Weir to give us a couple good seasons and 2 or 3 decent cup runs . Which brings it's own rewards .

But I guess he'd have his doubters

Steve Campbell / Jim Duffy dream team ..........could do a lot worse ....oh we are .  Another good name , i'd forgotten about Duffy.

  3. I wasnt at the AGM as work got in the way. I watched the goals from the Dunfermline game and it could have been set to the Laurel and Hardy theme.  I saw the same keeper at Dens win mom.  I have been all " last season was a free hit " but now THIS season is not . We are heading the same path we went down last year . Injury to Pabs and Tappy sent off has Dods in todays Courier saying hes looking to do something as we are short on numbers .  Well i would suggest we have more than cover in defence as all we seem to sign is defenders.  An attacking / creative midfielder and a decent striker is required .  If he fails in this and after the first five competitive results are poor then i'd say its time for a change .

  4. We only gone and feckin won . Top the group  ( till the weekend anyway ) Well done guys .  We sign another defender ....Darren loves a defender.......Very excited for this new goalscorer with great record who requires international clearence. Darren has only gone and spunked the Celtic money on hi jacking Ronaldos move to Juventus .....

A goalscorer with a great record committee guy told me . If Jacko s goosed that would make sense

Welcome to both Boris and Morena  hope your stay here is a productive one. Now on to the above committee guy . Was he speaking about Boris or is there another striker being lined up  ( i do hope its the latter ) or are you blowing stoor up our collective arses ?

  6. On Fridays game.....i liked the look of both the trailest no4 and Boris who came on and scored. Both these lads did well and deserve another crack in the forth coming games against Dundee Utd and Fortmartine. Hope Boris is the real deal as we were crying out for someone who can finish all last season .

Tonight is an ideal opportunity to turn up at the glebe and hear directly from Darren about his plans for the season.

The club have been bitten before , announcing a big name signing before he actually put pen to paper .....then signed for someone else.  So understandably they are reluctant to let info out .

I agree perfect opportunity , if i wasnt on backshift this week i would have been there to hear what Darrens thoughts were on the season ahead. If you have any news from said meeting then please share. I wont be near the Glebe till the Dundee friendly next Friday night where i will renew my season ticket.

  8. The silence from the Glebe is beginning to fill me with fear.  We have signed Hill good signing and some dude from Queens Park. Other clubs are making better progress with their signings and our first friendly is only next Friday. I hope that Dods has a couple of rabbits to pull out of his hat in the form of a couple of strikers who can produce as this is where imo we were lacking . Jackson and Orsi cant do it all themselves.  Maybe i'm being a bit of a worry wart and Dods is waiting till teams are out of the World Cup and pick up a find or two from there.

  9. I dont have an issue with the price of the season ticket , if you attend all the home league games there is still a very good saving to be made compared to walk up prices . I am however disappointed with not getting the friendlies included on it . I think they could have left that alone .

  10. Thought i'd be as bold to start a new one for the upcoming season . First off sad news about John Ritchie 's passing . Rip John .                                                                                                                                                                                           Playing Dundee on a Friday night ? Saturday date may have drawn a bigger crowd. Then again we play them in the Betfred Cup , strange that we'll face them twice  within  a week or two. Happy enough with Dougie Hill coming back but what we sorley need after last time out is forwards who can score goals .
