  1. I'd take the picks next year and parlay them to get exactly who I want. Yes this is looking like a great draft depthwise but NY have to get the QB and that's next year.
  2. I can understand the Jets trading Revis but absolutely not for picks in this draft. Get them in the next draft and, along with their anticipated moderate at best 2013 season they'll be able to move anywhere in what looks to be a strong QB class. They'd be crazy to trade him for picks in this draft.
  3. I would say so, yeah. I'll take a wee try at a top 10 later on.
  4. How would a combination of Austin and DJ Fluker in the first sound to Rams fans? Thinking on it, you don't get much Ram talk on this thread or in the media at large.
  5. Oh, he'd be a fantastic pick for St. Louis actually. Like it a lot.
  6. I have a lot on in the background in work: Americarnage - Really good. Often funny. Inside The Huddle - So-so. Will pass an hour though. NFL Draft Tracker. Good. Grown on me. Excellent in recent weeks. Rich Eisen Podcast - The boy's actually alright. Can have some good interviewees. ESPN First Draft - Just started on this one. OK, very unstructured.
  7. How high would you all draft Tavon Austin?
  8. Wallace is easily as good on his day though he won't be a good match for KC/Smith. I'm happy to bet that there will be a WR in this draft that will have a better year than Bowe. I'm even happy to bet there will be one drafted outside of the first round who will have a better year than Bowe. This year is an excellent chance for teams to draft a receiver.
  9. If the alternative is to pay him that kind of money then I would have yes. Of course I wouldn't have made the trade on those terms in the first place. You're going to have Mike Wallace, Greg Jennings available both of whom I'd say are better. Wallace will cost around the same as Bowe, and at his age Jennings would be cheaper. And then there are a number of receivers in this year's draft who could be productive in the league.
  10. Steve Johnson has had Ryan Fitzpatrick and has 3x 1,000 yard seasons in a row. For purpose of context, no Bills receiver has ever managed two in a row never mind three. Johnson signed a new long-term deal last year for far less. Tell me which was the better deal there. I just think KC have made a poor deal here to go along with another expensive mistake in trading what they did for Alex Smith. A bad pick at #1 overall for the hattrick Andy.
  11. It's pretty decent mate. I'll have a closer read later.
  12. Kruger to get overpaid by Cleveland. It would actually be a decent move for Cleveland.
  13. Pretty self-explanatory: it's not commensurate to his ability or production.
  14. Is that your own website in you signature, mate?
  15. Dwayne Bowe's pay is now third to only Larry Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson.
  16. Really hard to say what KC does now. Of course they could still take a LT but I think this might bring Milliner the CB into play. I don't think he's worth it but they should probably bolster a secondary that dorsn't lack talent but has suffered loses (Carr) and injuries (Berry, Flowers). As well as that, you can never have too many pass rushers.
  17. BTW, who was the place kicker who had no toes or something? I'm sure I seen it on America's Game.
  18. There's a real possiblity of that I'd say. With so many QB needy teams and so many borderline QB prospects I expect at least one team to make their first round pick them jump back in towards the bottom of the first.
  19. Really good point on the Rich Eisen podcast this week with implications for the Manti Te'o situation. They were speaking with Pat McAfee, the Colts punter, and he said that a similar situation happened to him. His teammates got him to join Twitter and soon he had women asking to be his friend or whatever the process is on the site and sending him messages. It turned out to be a woman who was just trying to get close to pro athletes with the intent of extorting them. McAfee said this happens to quite a lot of the single and otherwise engaged guys in a locker room and it really isn't a big deal. It was quite a level-headed yet refreshing and enlightening take on the situation which maybe speaks more about how sensationalised this story has been. I'll admit I personally found his behaviour very suspicious and I still do. But it just made me think about you know yourself, you go into a situation you're unfamiliar with, someone is nice and friendly to you, you appreciate it and maybe you start to see things that aren't there. It's very understandable. He'll be a decent, productive player in the NFL but he's not a huge playmaker so I'd only take him if the big splash players had gone.
  20. Ah right, there must be a new one out today or yesterday then. Yeah he's pretty good. It's been a good listen throughout the season.
  21. Aw I must have missed that one! I was meaning the Barkley/Lattimore one.
  22. Hmm I dunno. Pretty lameduck coach and the elephant in the room that no one is talking about in Jake Locker.
  23. I'd say Arizona are the worst team in the league right now so they'd be my favourite for picking first next year. Oakland, Jacksonville, NY Jets and Tennessee could all struggle mightily next year as well.
  24. They can but it sounds like that's not likely to happen. It's a shame but I always thought Cordy Glenn would have been an outstanding guard but the Bills played him at LT. He did well there tbf and the Bills have good depth in the inside of the line so I'm sure he'll go.
