  1. I think it was even one of their stewards, I think they provided their own stewarding for some reason. The steward marched up to the guy and straight-arm punched him in the jaw.
  2. Someone paid a mad amount for a programme from the game, like 4 figures.
  3. Everyone dislikes Airdrie because McDonald built one of the most horrible team full of the worst c***s in Scottish football at the same time as Section B were still a thing despite hooliganism being pretty much ignored by most other supports. They also bought Clydebank and shut it down when they went bust rather than work through the leagues as a phoenix club. in recent times, there is the association with far right groups that the club doesn’t do a lot to distance its self from. The result is, the majority of the support is tarred with a broad brush, which is ironic when you think of the KKK cosplayers they had at a game. With regards to Ayr and Airdrie, a lot of people were involved in the demise of Airdrie and Bill Barr was the focus, a lot of people also made money out the demise of Airdrie, Barr was one of the only ones who had to go to court to get it. He was the Ayr chairman at the time so there was an association. On Airdries last ever game, there was a demonstration on the pitch which I think every fan of any club would support or sympathise with. A group of Airdrie fans tried to jump in to the home end and start a fight but shat it over one policeman and ran away. They broke the crossbar and the game was abandoned. When we were in the same league before, there were police horses outside the ground and police in riot gear in the car park, for a crowd of maybe 1200 The racism and Bill Barr comments rile some Airdrie fans so folk will always use it. Much the same as calling Rangers fans zombies seems to rile up some of their support. It’s kind of died down now, although one Airdrie fan did grass Ayr to the Lord Lion because our badge didn’t meet heraldic law meaning a complete rebrand.
  4. It has a completion date of June which they expect to make. Apparently the outside is now fully fitted out. They could have done it in two stages to allow the terrace at least to be used but it would involve two completion certificates that involve additional costs to meet them.
  5. I think it will be in both parties interests to give him a short term deal to prove fitness. A bit like Craig Moore. If he’s not 100% he might be better playing part time. There is no point in rushing him back this season, he’d be better finishing rehab and getting a preseason in him to give him the best chance of coming back 100% on his day he is one of the best midfielders in the Championship.
  6. Patterson has had a grim two games for Scotland, you look at the bench and there is only Tony Ralston. No one wanted him on the park so why call him up? John McGinn was better tonight but poor overall in the two games. This break was the ideal opportunity to bring 3-4 players in and try them out. Clark is a loyal manager but when things are going wrong, his plan B never works. Shankland deserved 180 minutes this camp to try and establish himself, to get hooked after an hour on Friday and get 15 minutes tonight was poor. Ferguson needs to play in his natural position for Scotland of international football will pass him by. Calum MacGregor is a big miss as is Hickey and We did nothing to alter the shape to accommodate the replacements or in MacGregors case, a similar type of player.
  7. In the Czech league they sign old, experienced pros to play in the reserves along side the younger players. Imagine Jamie Adams, Moffat and Stevie Bell booting lumps out of a Livi boys team?
  8. After Saturdays result, it removed Ayr from any possibility of a promotion playoff push. The January window has killed us, the players we brought in were far from upgrades and we now have a load of players missing. I still think we will avoid 9th or 10th place and currently the best we can hope for is being mathematically safe with 2-3 games to go. A disappointing start, middle and end to the season.
  9. IS claimed they were responsible for the attack, which is odd because they have pretty much left mainland Russia alone. It's possible as revenge for Syria but you'd think they would have done it at the time, like the attacks on France and the UK during the gulf war. The attackers that IS said were responsible are apparently the same ones Russia paraded today. I don't suppose anyone in Russia will think the Russian authorities went overboard with interrogation. It is good optics for them, caught swiftly, got a kicking. I am struggling with why they are still alive though, normally this is about Martyrdom for the cause, why would they commit this atrocity, set the building on fire and leg it for the Ukrainian border?
  10. If we had a midfielder like Mark Kerr who will be available to take the ball off them, they'd only have to pass it 5 feet. None of the midfielders bar Murphy have the composure and I wish they would play him in the middle to dictate the game.
  11. He’s been an absolute liability. His actual defending is fine to a degree. He gifted two identical goals in the same game, completely losing his man. He keeps getting caught in possession while fannying about over the ball, Saturday was a prime example, under no pressure at all, he froze and allowed a player to run in and challenge him. He has developed an Oh f**k I’ve done it again face he’s made that many absolute howlers. It may just be a nightmare move for him and both parties will look forward to the end of his deal.
  12. Ayr have a horrendous "injury" problem as well. We have been very fortunate that the favoured starting 11 of Brown and the players he has brought in, bar Willoughby have managed to avoid "picking up a knock" to the point they have disappeared completely. Ayr will start the game with the same line-up and Airdrie will run round them much the same as Queens Park did. Sanders to score an own goal from 40 yards, Murphy to be hooked within an hour and the bench to look like McGeady is babysitting again.
  13. We’ll make a couple of early signings, sit on our hands while the rest of the championship swap good Championship players amongst themselves. We’ll make a couple more signings from down south then panic buy at the end of August.
  14. One good thing about them switching ends, we all got a great view of Sanders making an arse of it
  15. It felt like the Harlem Globetrotters playing the stooges at one point. Ayr players selling themselves and just getting passes around.
  16. I didn’t demand communication on this issue. Nice polishing though. I said the club tell us nothing, this was another example. You have chased a narrative that I am demanding to know when Smith takes a shite. I am asking for trivial information on things like, what the f**k is happening with the players, our left back disappeared and we signed a replacement, who has disappeared. We have a goalkeeper who isn’t even diving for shots hit at him in the warm up he’s so much in the huff. We have Chalmers and Dempsey who may or may not have knocks and that may or may not be the reason they didn’t play last week but made the bench, both were missing this week.
  17. I understood your point the first time. Your defence of the club is admirable. the dear leaders will be proud of you. You say communication could be better. It is currently zero. On all issues. Zip, nowt. f**k all. But it’s obviously not important to engage the support on any level.
  18. As I’ve previously posted, I’m fucking raging about a lot of things today. I took exception to someone saying it doesn’t matter and the club not telling us why they did it doesn’t matter.
  19. I wrote a 1000 word essay earlier in the thread about everything that was wrong today and most of it is the club telling us f**k all. You’re ok with that. Everything must be rosy then. Im wanting the club to actually engage with the support regularly rather than when they are just looking for money. Prematch press conferences and post match interviews are a waste of time, not one mention in either. Voice of reason never asked. They have their chance to speak to us and say f**k all.
