  1. Clarke is also not a shouter, he needs to be keeping his defence right and letting them know who is behind them. There obviously wasn’t much he could do about Kanes goal, McGinty saw Kane and turned back to play it to the keeper when he should have just launched it.
  2. It would be good to know what is going on. Albinson being dropped is not because he shipped two against Dundee United surely. Bullen dropped him for Mutch and Mutch was marginally worse, so Albinson came back in. Brown was pretty quick to drop him again and he's clearly not getting a second chance with him. He said Clarke was brought in as competition but was flung in hours after signing. Chalmers has been a shadow of his former self and is being dropped in favour of Bryden, Amartey is almost completely out the picture. I am wondering if it is players who have said they wont be here next season have just been almost cut adrift to focus on players that want to stay. If it is, its a pretty naïve approach, if these guys are trying to win moves, they will perform and that should help us in the short term.
  3. The first goal is either offside because Kane is interfering with play by blocking the keeper, or the keeper was asleep. Second it looks like McGinty just thought - f**k it.
  4. It’s maybe a problem with online forums but there is a middle ground between we are shite after 6 games under Brown or we are amazing. It’s not a cult. It is possible to say we are good or bad week to week without it being a conspiracy or anyone is right or wrong. Saying we were bad today isn’t nailing your colours to a mast saying Brown must go as much as saying beating Thistle wasn’t proof that Brown going to lead us to the Champions league. we now need to win against Inverness, which is much less of a “must win” game for them after todays results. We have two weeks to get players back and two weeks to not f**k this up.
  5. I’m not worried yet, I think Brown has shown that he’s a capable coach in his short time at the club and has proved more than Bullen did in 2 years. My concern is that he is trying to spin too many plates at the moment. He needs to focus on putting the best team out and focus on development once we are safe. Get consistency. Gaining safety allows us to build for next season. this season is, at best going to end scraping the promotion play-offs currently. We need consistency before anything else.
  6. We were playing at a lower level and they were thrown in and played regularly. Bryden needs games. Rose has scored a few at Hamilton and I’d prefer Bryden was out on loan learning his trade
  7. Bryden should be modelling himself on Kris Dolan. A guy who was limited but took his chances, becoming a fans favourite. He needs played in his natural position where possible and nurtured as such.
  8. Even when Chalmers isn’t playing well, he still pulls players wide and stretches teams. Some teams double up on him leaving space for others. He links with McCallister and the midfield.
  9. We played well for a few games, we were hard to beat and he changed the midfield, lost Stanger and Reading. Dropped Chalmers and Syla. We have now a worse goals and f**k-up ratio per game than we did with Bullen. Today we were also as soft as puppy shit and looked like we couldn't be arsed. An absolute shitebag performance lost in the first half. another game where we've had to make changes at half time because he have the wrong people on the pitch. I have been impressed with Brown so far but we have gone from having one eye up the table to looking firmly at 9th if we lose to Inverness. The first half killed us and it was down to selection. The midfield won nothing, the forwards offered nothing and we were under pressure for most of it.
  10. The first part is reason for the second part, which is why I put the first part.
  11. Brown has to stop pissing about though and play the best 11 he has. That doesn’t include Sanders, Bryden, McHugh or the keeper. We have created zero today and conceded seven goals in 3 games. We seem to have gone sideways over the last 4 managers with the same problems happening.
  12. Syla & Chalmers will come on at half time I’d hope. Maybe Willoughby for McKenzie. With Queens Park and Inverness winning, it’s essentially a cup game now.
  13. Guys that have made plenty of mistakes making mistakes again. The new keeper is suspect, Musonda isn’t a left wing back and Bryden isn’t a wide player. We haven’t stretched Dunfermline at all and everything has been static up front. Dropping Albinson and Chalmers has been like Bullen dropping Adeloye. We have just brought in new players who have added different ways to f**k up. Just play the best team.
  14. This feels like the Thistle game minus playing against a horrendous defence and keeper. Second to everything and having to do a lot of chasing.
  15. Willoughbys second was an old school goal, big guy nods it down, wee guy finishes. Dowds and Willoughby could form a partnership over time but we normally play with one up front.
  16. I thought we’d signed an Esports player He looks like a cross between Tam and Winston from Still game. welcome to the club Nathan and all that
  17. They were black and blue and cracked in two Ally Maxwells ribs ALLY MAXWELLS RIBS
  18. You just know that in 3 weeks time, someone is going to ask here, is there any more on this Penney guy we were supposed to be signing?
  19. It’s been a strange week for Ayr, gone from “we’re still shite” after the Raith game to “we’re fucking amazing” after the Thistle game to the cold reality the following day that we conceded very cheap goals in both games. So there is no bravado or doom, we are in a weird middle ground where no one is overconfident and predicting wins or overly negative and predicting a trouncing. Most Ayr fans are up for it, more because we have no idea what to expect.
  20. If the new disabled section is up in the new stand, how long before McWilliams rolls his car down the north terrace?
  21. I saw this earlier in the week but decided not to post it because he’s not guilty of anything yet and there is no point highlighting something that could reflect badly on the Academy unnecessarily. On The face of it, the guy is 60 and if he was romantically involved at one point or just pestering one of the players within the realms of the law,, it’s not ideal behaviour.
  22. They have been shelved because there was additional costs incurred during construction. I think they hit problems when putting the foundations in and it required piling. it'll now be a phase one and phase two. its a sensory room, business lounge and additional toilets that will be part of phase two.
