I don't know the answer to the question ask the manager. I'm only making an assumption. Dowie has played majority of reserve games since losing his place in first team and trains every day so sure he was ready.

Sure Higgy just made it for Dumbarton last weekend and then played 90 mins on Tuesday so maybe just a rest.

I have said from the day we realised Russell was being played on the wing that we needed another striker. Reilly and Lyle are both good strikers but for me aren't prolific enough at this level. Majority of Derek's goals have come against poorer opposition and Gavin doesn't look the most natural finisher. Difficult one though as if one comes in does one need to go ?

Been trying to figure out this Mcshane decision. My thinking now is that he has been on a really poor contract from august til now and was probably told if he proves himself he will get an extension. Here's the bad bit he will be on much better money now and may even be classed as a signing in the window budget wise.

Had 15 mins to reflect on this news, WOW what is he thinking. He has had a handful of decent games in his time at queens yet gets offered a long term deal in our current situation. My gripe isn't what Mr X says above about maybe he is just first to accept as he hasn't done anything to warrant to get a new deal. Of course he is going to snatch your hand off for a new deal as it will likely be on improved terms as he is now a first team regular and it's not like interest would be high on current form. IIRC he had a pretty bad injury last term that ruled him out for months if this comes back we are lumbered with somebody that quite clearly isn't good enough for another 18 months and they are injured. FFS. THE SEETHE!!!!
