  1. This is exactly how I feel, I think Dowie is a good addition but the squad was in place. To completely change the shape and style we play was not needed and I think it hindered us to a degree we couldn't pull back. I fully expected us to challenge for the title which I actually think we could have done uptill the loss at home to Dundee.
  2. While discussing the recent incident with the ferry in South Korea I explained that the Head Teacher of the school had been found hanging from a tree. Obviously struggling to come to terms with what had happened. Her response " That was lucky finding a tree in the middle of the sea" Oh for FFS!!!!
  3. Could anyone tell me where the free flowing attacking football he promised us is ? That tonight was a shambles from start to finish. Barring two goals from set pieces there were zero positives to take from that. If we miss out on the play offs which IMO we are going to now it has to be looked at as a very disappointing season. First quarter was a complete write off and the final one looks like being something similar unless we can drag ourselves up off the canvas and quickly with the game coming up on Saturday.
  4. Modern era players who make such an impact at one club like Burnsy has should be lauded not having their big day scrapped. But when 853 people are turning up I tend to agree.
  5. I had hoped for around 2,000 in my head thought 1,500 but 853 is dissapointing. Think a lot of people take the one above. I couldn't make it today due to work commitments but had hopesfor a better turnout.
  6. How is the match going anyone who is in attendance ? Good turnout ?
  7. Class act on and off like you say, great player for Queens and like Burnsy always committed to the cause.
  8. Me neither but may have been a game I missed but don't remember it being mentioned.
  9. Didn't realise he had delivered fourth. Long way to go still although would be raging if we throw it away now.
  10. Dunfermline for £160 and Leicester and Dunfermline on another for £75
  11. £35 on Utd to qualify @ 15/8
  12. Slattery has actually appeared as a sub this season but cannot for the life of me think who it was against.Eta . It was against Airdrie appearing as a sub in the 84th minute
  13. I got them at 21/10 sure that wasn't the best price but thought it was worth a punt.
  14. If Liverpool hadn't won I would have been in trouble but ended up down around £25
  15. Had my best day for months had £5 on Qos, Ayr, Southampton, Burnley, Watford and Celtic returned £150. Slammed £10 on county @ 4/1 £5 on villa @ 6/1 £10 double chance double villa+draw and county plus draw paid £48. Invested heavily in the sheep for tomorrow.
  16. Well if he is due a suspension get it served and let's not wait 4 weeks and miss him for a crucial game further down the line. Thought Higgins did well but he always has that tendency to tuck himself in and near the end Alloa got two unchallenged crosses in due to this.
  17. Good battling display today without a lot of quality on show. Durnan, Dowie and Burns were our best three IMO with the two cb's not giving a sniff to Kirk and Co. Surprised to see Holt dropped to the bench and a bit dissapointed as Higgins is not a left back although coped fine today.
  18. Bob Harris currently on his way to Wembley. Go on yourself Boab. Flicked over to Burnley game and back to Sheff utd and it's 2-0 so would imagine Bob is going to Wembley.
  19. What a cheeky young scamp. Believe me , you will find it fascinating discussing the merits of the central midfield of S*****s/ Mc*****n in twenty years time when you are our age. Edited it for you Jr using that shocking language so soon.
  20. Would keep both, both on very manageable wages and more than good enough for this level.
  21. Think you need to read football maniacs post again he said he is a 7/10 performer every week with great delivery. I agree with you though that Chris's delivery has dissapointed compared with last year. Would rather have him than not though.
  22. If guff goes down the coaching/manager route would one day love to have him back. Great guy and wish he was sticking around. Best of luck to him for the future and as you mention a big part of our history.Eta - was hoping somebody near the drummer was going to start a chorus of One Ryan Mcguffie.
  23. £2.50 ew on rigadin de beachin (spelling) got me £55.
  24. Bet the Morton fans ears are p***ked. Cowden are safe anyway this season. Morton and Alloa are in much bigger trouble.
  25. Everton not scoring for £181.smash f**k you Clattenburg for not falling for that 90th minute dive.
